About this game

A Game of Healing ♪

Although beautiful and full of life, Juke’s world is also complex and nuanced. The land is marvellous and abundant, but for some reason many of the world’s inhabitants aren’t doing so well… why? To answer this, Juke was created and tasked with a grand journey: to learn what perils the world, and to heal its spirit - all through the wonders of music.

Experience vibrant worlds and quirky characters drawn with love and careful attention to detail. If you look closely, the inhabitants of Kordia don't want to hurt you, they're just having a bad day. Dodge your angry opponents and disarm them with music.

Be the Music

Relax and let nostalgia take over. Enjoy an orginal collection of music that brings back all of the 8-bit memories without all of the 8-bit limitations. A modern approach to chiptune music with softer sounds and a deeply immersive experience.

Activate your abilities by eating music discs to master the challenges ahead. Every disc is a new song, of which you can find more than 40 in the whole game.

Influence your Surroundings

Explore this adventure in your own way with our Innovative Music Disc & Vibe Switch Mechanic:

As you explore the four islands of Kordia, you'll discover countless music discs of varying genres, each representing a unique culture. When consuming a disc, Juke gains the ability to switch between four different states, which affect the music, and Juke's ability to influence characters and his environment. The more Juke influences, the more cultural information he collects for his master.

Enjoy the World's Playfulness

This game is meant to leave you feeling lighter and inspired with an occasional emotional reality check. Because who says you can't have depth, character development and philosophy while also feeling relaxed and joyous?

Join Juke in discovering all the secrets and fun activities there are to do!

Not only will you bring Juke to Harmony, but Juke's story will bring Harmony to you!

Our Journey with Juke's Quest for Harmony

For every game developer out there, building a game is a very special thing. But landing in the local newspapers, finding a team and community of all ages that truly resonate with it, and exhibiting at the world's biggest videogame event as an unknown underdog is like winning the Universe's lottery.(This is me, Malcolm Anderson)Juke's Quest for Harmony has been so much more than the already awesome part of game development, and this is what this post will be about. I, Malcolm Anderson, began this journey on the 25th of May 2024. After I (thankfully) quit a horrible job, I looked for opportunities to start a business of my own, which led me to the "Startup Weekend Mittelhessen". Arriving unprepared, I learned of a tradition where, to kick off the event, attendees voluntarily pitch their startup idea, which, if voted for, gets developed over the weekend for the chance of winning a cash prize at the end. I like challenges and I like free money, so I got in line. The line got shorter and shorter, and when I eventually found myself on stage, I ended up pitching about a video game, and lost. The contest, that is. Because my performance connected me to my current mentor, Fabian Rudzinski, who was the first professional who believed in my ability to create and take responsibility for something valuable. His guidance and the people I met throughout even led me to secure the first round of funding from "HessenFilm & Medien".(Our wonderful composer, Ian Aisling)After doing my best to learn how to codefor the first time in my life, I stumbled across Andrew Robinson's YouTube channel "Robinson Pixels", with whom I tried to learn pixel art. After getting affected by the idea of Juke (whose name at the time was "Cubix"), Andrew took such a liking to the project that he wanted to join. With beautiful original graphics on board, I was now working on a new prototype for playtesting. Listening to a Retro 8-bit Music Playlist by FACTually while programming, I suddenly am overcome by te...
