  🌸 House of Petals — Major Development Update 🌸

  Hello everyone! We know we’ve been consistently sharing progress with our Kickstarter backers, but it’s been a while since we’ve given everyone else a proper development update on House of Petals.So, we’re very happy to say: we’ve made a LOT of progress!Here’s where development currently stands:📝 The full script is complete! Writing and annotation are finished for the entire game, including the Expansion DLC and all of its additional endings and content.🎨 All in-game artwork is complete! Character sprites, backgrounds, and CGs are finished, including the romance CGs for both Han and Vinh.🌸 The redesigned GUI is complete! We’ve finished the updated visual design for the game interface, and we’re really excited about how much more polished and cohesive the game feels now.🎙️ Voice acting is underway! Our voice actor, Ozan, is currently working on the full voice acting for the game.🎵 The soundtrack is in production! We’re working with composer Mary Tran on the original soundtrack. At the same time, I’m currently designing the artwork for the opening song sequence, which we’re hoping to wrap up around late October.There’s still work ahead as we put everything together, implement the finished assets, and polish the game, but House of Petals is getting closer and closer to its final form.Thank you so much for following the project, whether you’ve been here since the beginning or only recently discovered the game.   Full voice acting and Vietnamese translation is now available for the demo

  Hi everyone, it’s Vi! I’m excited to be back to share a quick update on our Kickstarter and give you a peek behind the scenes of why this project means so much to me.First, a huge thank you! As of today, we’re 55% funded with 274 amazing backers. I’m deeply grateful to each of you for supporting House of Petals. Your belief in this project brings this story closer to life every day. But we’re not there yet — with just over 10 days left, every pledge and share counts.I also want to share a bit about why I started this project. Some of you may know me from my Vietnamese traditional clothing content on social media. Beyond that, I’ve been a lifelong lover and researcher of Asian history and culture. Growing up, I was always drawn to Eastern settings and stories, and discovering visual novels and otome games showed me the perfect medium to tell the kinds of stories I wanted to see: stories that explore unique tropes, conflicting relationships, and tragedies rarely represented in Western fantasy.My first game, Who Murdered My Empress?, was my first step into this world. With House of Petals, I want to take it even further — delivering an immersive story, fully realized characters, and engaging gameplay while still making romance the focus of the story.As a solo developer balancing a very intense day job, I pour every spare hour into this project.
