About this game
Welcome to Regenix Corporation, the pioneers of rebirth and your new employer. The system will tell you what locker contains what body part, and your job is to go out there and grab each limb, head and torso in order to restore little Timmy's grandpa to full "health".
Synopsis:
Platforming and speed are key, as some nights will have threats and time limits to how long you have to complete your work shift before you are fired.
It's not all running though, as HR has granted you a taser in order to handle these new and aggressive co-workers as humanely as possible.
With multiple types of zombies "co-workers", the taser may not always be the best choice though. Some will require you to find them hiding amongst the shadows while others may find the jolt exciting and rush you for one killer hug.
Some Assembly Required is a first person horror game with comedic elements, where the goal is to re-assemble corpses at your new job. Not everything is at it seems though as some staff members are doing a terrible job, and their subjects begin running amok.
Features:
No run is ever the same, as the body parts are randomly placed each time.
Each shift features new challenges to overcome.
High quality graphics, with settings for both quality and resolution to make sure your gameplay is smooth.
An industrial level design and feeling, where you are just an employee doing their job while The Corporation undergoes changes around you.
Multiple enemy types (in the final release) that will force you to quickly adapt to their reactions in order to survive.
Sound design to let you know when and where your enemies are and if you need to hunt them or flee from them.
Combat in the form of a taser, which will temporarily disorient most zombies giving you the chance to escape or grab a body part.
With 7 shifts to complete, notes spread throughout detailing the going-ons at Regenix and The Corporation, an endless mode designed to test your body building prowess, and hard mode versions of each shift, there's plenty to play and find in the warehouse.

Some Assembly Require V1.01 Updated
After watching a few videos and streams on Some Assembly Required (and a huge thanks to everyone enjoying the game), I found that the largest headache came at Nights 6 and 7 due to the monitors being disconnected. There was an indication on each freezer that contained a body part, but it seems to have gone unseen most the time, and so I've decided to make the indications much more noticeable. I also caught players skimming or skipping the tablets during gameplay, which I kind of expected and added the notes to the main menu. Since it's more likely to read the notes on stream during the game rather than return to the main menu and read everything, I've set the tablets to now automatically pause the timer, husk count down, and zombie AI. If there's any other bugs you all have ran into, or some quality of life changes you might recommend, feel free let me know in the comments.Read full article on Community Announcements (Flamez)AnnouncementsOfficial
Some Assembly Required is now ALIVE!
Today I am happy to announce that Regenix is opening it's doors to new employees, and can't wait to see how you all perform. It's been months of development, testing, late nights, more testing, fixing up small flaws, a small bit of scope creep, and more testing, but it's all paid off as Some Assembly Required is now available for you all to play. Featuring 7 main story shifts, and endless mode for anyone who really loves putting together corpses, and a hard mode version of each shift with no regenerating health or help finding parts aside from the monitors when available. Notes of both story and funny ideas that popped into my head while working on the game, and achievements for each level (along with a few hidden ones). I can't wait to see how you all like this little game from a solo dev, and I'm looking forward to working on my next project.Read full article on Community Announcements (Flamez)Patch NotesOfficial
Demo Update
I've pushed an updated build of the demo using the assets and optimization that I've worked on in the full game. It still covers Shift 1 and 2, but the zombies have new animations, the sequencing is more optimized and as a teaser all note titles are now available from the main menu. Looking forward to the full release soon!Read full article on Community Announcements (Flamez)
