Navigate treacherous poker battles as you reclaim your soul in The Devil's Due. Strategize and cheat to survive the infernal depths, battling diverse monsters in a tense mix of strategy and survival.
About this game

Engage in intense one-on-one poker battles against gruesome demonic monsters, each with unique abilities. The strength of your poker hand determines your damage, and the sum of your cards’ values is your defense..

Unlock and master an ever-expanding arsenal of cheat tricks as you shape your run around a constantly evolving deck. Conceal and swap cards mid-battle, boost key values to force powerful hands, sabotage the enemy’s draw, and bend the odds toward carefully crafted synergies.
But there’s a devilish twist: you and your opponent draw from the same deck. Every card you add, remove, duplicate, or modify affects both sides of the table. To survive, you must deliberately build and refine a deck that amplifies your current cheats and relics while minimizing the enemy’s advantage.
Every trick raises your foe’s suspicion meter. Push your cheating too far, and they’ll lash out with devastating fury.

Death means starting over, but not empty-handed. Earn permanent upgrades, new cheat cards, powerful relics, and fresh strategies with each run. Adapt your deck and cheat arsenal to tackle deeper levels of Hell and inch closer to ultimate redemption.

At the start of each level of Hell, the Devil lays out tarot cards dictating your path through monster and boss fights, shops, healing shrines, and mini-games. But you were never one to let others determine your path…

They’re designed to push you toward different strategies and make each run play differently. The updated demo includes two Challenges to take on.More Cheats, EarlierYou now get a new Cheat at the start of every new layer of Hell, instead of after defeating its boss. This means you get your new toys earlier and have more time to build around them.Boss Rewards: Manipulate Your DeckBosses now reward you with Deck Alterations instead of Cheats. These let you manipulate your deck and shape it around the strategy you’re building.New Special EventsWe’ve added new special events that give you even more ways to manipulate your deck, tweak your synergies, and steer your build in the direction you want. This is just the start. Demo Updated - Wrath Unleashed
We just pushed a new update to the demo, and it adds one more layer of hell: Wrath. This means new enemies, new mechanics, and a noticeable step up in how fast things spiral. Expect more rage, more punishment, and some truly questionable personalities. Yes, including a certain passive aggressive Father of the Year. We’ve also added:New cheatsNew relicsNew challenges that unlock even more stuffOn top of that, we’ve done a solid pass on readability and overall polish. Things should be clearer, snappier, and a bit less “wait… what just happened?”If you’ve already played the demo, this should shake things up quite a bit. If you bounced off earlier, this is a good moment to give it another go.We’re very curious to hear what you think. What works, what doesn’t, and what feels completely unfair in the best or worst way.Read full article on Community Announcements (jack)AnnouncementsOfficial
Demo updated - Aces High
Aces HighOne of the most common pieces of feedback we’ve gotten is that Aces feeling like the weakest card in the game just felt wrong. We agree.Defence values now use Blackjack rules:Number cards: face valuePicture cards (J, Q, K): 10 defenceAces: 11 defenceThis makes Aces feel powerful again, without dramatically changing overall balance.Demons Found Their Voices (Sort Of)A lot of you asked for some kind of audio feedback when enemies speak.Enemies now make a sound when they talkIt adds a bit more personality and makes encounters feel less silent and awkwardNo full voice acting, just enough to make Hell feel alive.Fixes & TweaksLust boss now correctly updates and displays Rage informationSpeech text is now left-aligned, making dialogue much easier (and less annoying) to readDagger relic now triggers on a played card and has a value of 4 to 9 (inclusive). With Blackjack values in play, odd/even rules were getting way too unclearRead full article on Community Announcements (jack)Patch NotesOfficial
December 5th 2025 demo update - Cheating the Devil Is in the Details
Thank you all for playing the demo, for all the great feedback, and for reporting issues. This update aims to fix the most frequently reported problems and make it easier to find cheats outside matches. You can now skip card modification for those times you don’t want to modify any of the offered cards.Made it easier to see if a card has been fused.Wheel of Fortune Increased rewards, reduced punishments:Gain gold: 100 → 150Gain health: 20 → 30Lose gold: 100 → 20Lose health: 20 → 5Imps’ opening dialogue now hints at the possibility of cheating.Added more hints to make it clearer that you don’t have to accept the encounter sequence the Devil lays out.Added mouse-over info on clouds, glasses, and damage indicators.Fixed so Rusty’s death animation is played (that poor girl). The damage indicator now also shows if an enemy has Rage.Increased starting money: 50 → 100Fixed a bug where you could execute your hand when you were about to be Rage-killed, causing the game to freeze.Detects if Marius de Maul kills himself with negative healing on too much Rage, and shows the victory sequence.Cheat costs are now shown as red clouds and are visible as long as a cheat is selected. Clouds also zoom up a bit when they’re grey to make it easier to spot that enemies get more suspicious. And as always, keep the feedback coming, it really helps us make the game even better!Read full article on Community Announcements (jack)
