About this game
Voidwood is a co-op survival horror game for 1-4 players. You and your friends are children trapped in a cursed forest. By day, scavenge what you need and push deeper, as the light provides some fading safety. By night, stay quiet and survive The Beast, who tracks your every sound. Escape with what you can. Return better prepared. And uncover why none of the children who came before you ever made it out.
TALK TO SURVIVE. WHISPER TO STAY ALIVE.
Every word can save your group or give you away. Call out supplies, warn a friend, whisper the plan. But the forest hears you too, and a shout at the wrong moment brings the hunt down on everyone.
PUSH DEEPER OR GET OUT.
There’s only so much time; did you take what you needed to survive the night? Push your luck for what you desperately need or make your escape. How long can you hold out?
HIDE, RUN, AND OUTLAST THE HUNT.
The forest defends itself, and at nightfall, it summons The Beast, an apex predator that hunts by sound and follows the noise straight to you. You cannot fight it. Not yet.
GO BACK IN SMARTER. TOGETHER.
No two nights are the same. Before returning, regroup at camp, your temporary refuge to craft new tools and equipment. Unlock new strategies to turn what you have learned into a better plan, and get one step closer to escaping an ever-changing, unpredictable forest.
YOU ARE CHILDREN AND SO WAS EVERYONE THE FOREST KEPT.
You are not the first the forest has invited in. Piece together what happened to the children who came before you, and why the forest never let them leave. The answers are buried deep in the forest. Finding them is the game.

Pre-Alpha Public Playtest Coming October 15th
Our First Public Playtest Is Coming October 15!Something is waiting for you in the woods. From October 15 through October 18, we’re running our very first Voidwood Steam Public Playtest! This is a Pre-Alpha Playtest, and a small taste of what we’re building. You’ll experience one day and one night in the woods, scavenging during daylight, preparing for what comes after dark, and trying to survive when The Beast begins its hunt. We’re still deep in development, with a lot more of Voidwood still to come. That also means you may encounter bugs, rough edges, and things that are very much still a work in progress. For the best experience, bring some friends and use the in-game voice chat. Voidwood is built around communicating with your group... right up until making too much noise becomes a very bad idea.
