A little update from us! ⭐
Hello there! Long time, no see! We hope you’ve all had a good summer and that your thrift stores are thriving! We thought it’s about time for us to give a little Spellgarden Games update and of course more importantly share what we’ve been working on these past few weeks and what’s coming next for Thrifty Business! You would rather watch this dev log in video format and see some of our Gamescom footage as well as a little Thrifty Business teaser? Here you go:As a quick recap and just in case you missed it: We pushed our latest update at the very end of July, which included a whole number of QOL improvements such as trash cans, sale signs, box shop rerolls and more. You can read about it (or watch our video) here. Our work didn’t end with said update though! In fact we’ve been almost continuously tinkering away at improving your thrift shop experience! To be honest we ran into some issues with one specific feature, that’s been highly requested actually. And while it was initially on our feature list very early on, it didn’t make it into the game upon release as we simply ran out of time and into too many bugs. 😅Knowing what we know now, it was a good thing to not have attempted this back in February/March though, because it ended up causing a lot more troubles than we had initially hoped and our anxious pre-release minds probably wouldn’t have taken that too well… (We know we’re teasing a bit here, but we’ll show you a little something in this post as well!)Gamescom & HolidayAnd then, just as we had started figuring it out, Gamescom came around the corner (Aug 26-30). Or: the one time during the year we all actually get to see each other IRL! So of course we had to be there and it was a BLAST! It’s always so nice to connect with fellow indie game devs and get together with like-minded people. We share a little bit more and show some Gamescom snippets in the previously mentioned video! But of course (like clockwork), some of us caught a bit of a cold which made our littl...Read full article on Community Announcements (Malin)Patch NotesOfficial
