About this game

Orbit Assault Action Defense Game, Endless Invader!

Endless Invader is the Orbit Assault Action Defense game where you must fend off enemies pouring in from all directions and protect your planet until the very end.
Hold the line with strategy, chaos, and persistence—defeat the final invader and claim your victory!

Become the planet's guardian and stop the invaders from consuming it.

The remote planet Aevinculum breathes with life thanks to the mysterious energy flowing from its core—Terravitalitic Force.
One day, enemies known as the Endless Invader began their assault, seeking to consume this alluring source of power.
Whether by sheer will or destiny, the planet responded by birthing two guardians from its core: Cletinera and Castlan.

In this game, you take on the role of the female guardian, Cletinera, destroying visible enemy units to stop the invasion.
As time passes, enemies will grow stronger and appear in greater numbers. To resist them, you'll need to absorb as many Terravital Spheres as possible from defeated foes to continue growing stronger.

Use the upgrade system to enhance your abilities in various fields.

The more enemies you defeat, the stronger and tougher you become!
Absorb Terravital Spheres dropped by enemies to level up, and open the Upgrader to strengthen your capabilities.
Unleash powerful, flashy attacks, gain unmatched speed, or increase your planet's durability. Carve out your own upgrade path and dominate the game your way.

Make the most of three distinct weapons.

This isn't just repetitive single-attack combat!
You'll be switching between three weapons with completely different attack styles—Blaster, Lance, and Shield.
By investing in weapon upgrades, you’ll unlock unique special attacks and weapon-switch abilities that make your playstyle even more dynamic.

Respond to increasingly powerful enemies with strategic decisions.

Don’t be fooled by the simple appearance of early-stage enemies!
Before you know it, you'll be overwhelmed by enemies that are too strong and too numerous to handle.
Special units that appear mid-stage with flashy entrances will have you sweating.
If it seems impossible to defeat them all, consider your options—hint: pay attention to their colors!

Rely on allies and lucky bonuses for a more stable fight.

You are not alone in this fight!
Trust in Castlan, the male guardian who roams beneath your feet.
He'll attack enemies on your behalf and can even protect you with a temporary shield.
Also, once in a while, luck will be on your side—dropping powerful items that can turn the tide and help you survive even the most dangerous moments.

The key is to keep the planet alive until the end.

The enemy forces aren't truly infinite!
If you resist to the very end, they will eventually exhaust their troops while your planet still stands.
At last, they will summon their final unit.
Defeat this ultimate threat, and victory will be yours.

Only you can change the fate of the remote planet Aevinculum.
Now, head out into the universe of the Guardians!

Notice: Regarding the Full Remake of the Game and Future Plans

Since July 2025, I have showcased the completed demo version at various game conventions and national support programs. Through these experiences, I gathered valuable playtest data and feedback, which helped me determine the future direction of the project. That conclusion is a complete remake. Within this year, I plan to launch a new store page dedicated to the remade version and will regularly post updates on the development progress. You can find the link to the current demo version at the very bottom of this post.////////For the past three years, I have been developing this game entirely on my own. Every single element—coding, design, story, sound, and art—was crafted by my own hands. I received no outside assistance, nor did I use any generative AI. This project has been my ultimate life goal and challenge. By completing the demo, I believe I proved to myself that this dream is achievable. However, when I first embarked on this journey, I knew nothing. I had no choice but to learn everything from scratch while developing the game simultaneously. Over those three years, the results of my early beginner days became tangled with the work of my now-experienced self. I came to deeply realize that this inconsistency created a messy user experience beneath the surface—a critical flaw in the game.To make matters worse, I started this challenge with $40,000 in capital, planning to spend $8,000 a year over a five-year development cycle. Unfortunately, I fell victim to a scam and lost half of my funds. My development timeline was suddenly cut down to two and a half years, forcing me to compromise on the scale and polish of every element. In hindsight, that complacent decision was incapable of delivering true enjoyment to players. The reason I applied for various competitions and government grants was to make up for this lost time and budget. However, preparing for those applications required an overwhelming amount of administrative work. It ultimately drained the time I shou...

    Dev Notes #1

Hello everyone, this is the first Dev Note for Endless Invader! To properly introduce Endless Invader, I had planned to release videos one by one, each showing a core system of the game. But, right after the first video I was hit with massive criticism and ended up unable to post the next ones. The most common feedback was that it looked dizzying and even caused motion sickness. The main points were that the background stood out too much, and the mismatch in rotation was making people feel disoriented. I’ve taken those opinions seriously and made two key adjustments:The background brightness is now set to 50% by default. The background’s position and angle are now fully synchronized with the camera. Why did I set it up differently in the first place? Because I wanted to reflect the parallax effect of infinitely distant objects. The farther something is, the less it appears to move, until it seems almost motionless. That’s why outer space looks fixed no matter how much we move on Earth. Astronomers can measure tiny changes to calculate distances, but in my game I simply assumed stars are infinitely far away.Angles, however, are different from positions. Near or far, objects tilt the same way relative to your perspective. For example, if you tilt your head, both a nearby sign and a distant cloud appear to tilt at the same angle.Putting these together, I synced only the background’s position to the camera, which made it look like the stars were rotating separately. That’s actually how it might look in real space. But I can’t have players spitting their lunch back at their monitors! Unless you’re Elon Musk heading to Mars, chances are you won’t be gazing at the cosmos from space anyway. (You have been to space? Then please give me some ice cream for gifts!)...Anyway, I’ve decided to reduce motion sickness by leaning on what gamers are already accustomed to.Looking at other 2D space-themed games, I noticed most had static starry backgrounds that didn’t move at all. So now my ...
