About this game

LIGHTPUNK: Law of Inertia is a physics-based first-person puzzle game where you manipulate objects using the power of light.

Command objects using the power of "Light" and explore the forgotten chambers of an old facility. Harness the Law of Inertia—the first law of motion—and manipulate objects with the help of your flashlight. We aim to bring a fresh perspective to the puzzle genre, a mixture of both lively and realistic mechanics.

As you progress, uncover secrets and prepare yourself for mind-boggling puzzles. Prepare yourself for an atmospheric steampunk experience. May the light guide you...

📰 CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGIES FROM QUARK CORP!!!

  • S-8 GRAVITON is a groundbreaking invention from QUARK CORP. It enlarges when exposed to light and shrinks back to its original size when the lights turn off. SIZE SOMETIMES MATTERS!

  • While our beloved S-8 GRAVITON changes its size, its weight also changes accordingly. But keep in mind — EXCESS OF ANYTHING IS BAD.

  • The S-8 GRAVITON is now levitating — thanks to our cutting-edge technology, the "F-0 FLUX" NOT YOUR USUAL FLASHLIGHT.

  • But sometimes, it becomes just an ordinary flashlight, helping you open gates. Here at QUARK CORP, everything is high-tech — SO YOU WON'T NEED TO SEARCH FOR THE KEYS.

  • L-3 PHOTON is just an ordinary sidekick of S-8 GRAVITON . It absorbs light and emits it. WHAT A COPYCAT!

Better call "LIGHTPUNK: Law of Inertia"!

Hey everyone, it’s time for a bit of a heart-to-heart. Since the very first day we started building this world, you’ve known us as Project OBSCURE. To be honest, that name always felt like a placeholder, a mysterious little tag we used while we were still figuring out what this game really wanted to be. But as the world grew and the gears started turning, we realized that "Obscure" just didn't cut it anymore. It didn't capture the energy, the light, or the sheer fun of messing with physics. So, we’re officially turning the page and rebranding to LIGHTPUNK: Law of Inertia. Why "Lightpunk"? Well, we’re obsessed with the way light can transform a world full of heavy machinery and steam. We’re carving out our own little niche where your flashlight isn't just a tool to see in the dark, but your primary weapon against the laws of nature. It’s a world where shadows feel heavy and every beam of light has a physical weight. That leads us to the "Law of Inertia" part. This isn't just some boring physics homework reference. It’s the absolute core of our puzzles and our story. You’ll be using light sources to manipulate how things move, slide, and stop in a world that has been stuck in a frozen, stagnant loop for far too long. The new name finally matches the soul of the journey you’re about to take, and we couldn't be more excited to show you what’s next. Thanks for sticking with us through this evolution!

A Major Update for Project OBSCURE Demo!

Language Support for 9 Languages in terms of UI, Subtitles and Voiceovers! English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese support is added for our game, which is fully implemented including Voiceovers, Subtitles and UI Elements! Reaching broader audiences, and making them to solve our puzzles & secrets was an indispensable desire for us. And we're happy that we accomplished that with the smoothest experience possible. We wish to add more languages in the future, so stay tuned! What matters is quality rather than quantity. The previous demo consisted of more than 10+ puzzles with nearly 2 hours of gameplay. It was too long compared to the other games on this genre, and the levels were not sufficiently polished. There was nothing to be curious about for the full release, consisted so much "tease". We shortened the demo, with much more polished and impeccable levels. These changes will prepare you to the full "Project Obscure" experience. "Obscure" is not always your best friend. The most common negative feedback from the players was about the excessive darkness. It was challenging to determine the objects and their placements in several locations. Some levels were too "dark" and lighting was not helping the player to guide their way into the Quark Corp. We accomplished lighting improvements along with the better guidance for the levels, helps you to explore & engage with our atmoshpere much more easily. We know that Getting Stuck is Irritating. Some levels were a bit challenging to pass through, includes too much parkour skills and combined with poor illumination of levels. And some levels were hard to "click" in mind, which contains many distractions & lack of orientation. Proper guidance is now provided, and some game-breaking bugs and softlocks are fixed! You'll have a more comfortable experience in puzzles, overall. The Story of "Project Obscure", to be told. The tale of "Project Obscure" and the "Quark Corp" were told ...
