Solo Chess (Pokerii) Is Here!
The last patch (0.7.6) has been pushed and the game is about to fully release in a couple of days. It's worth mentioning that the game's name in the Steam library might display as "Pokerii" which is an old name that persisted, due to Steam limitations. See you soon! Thanks, NourSaiFRRead full article on Community Announcements (NourSaiFR)AnnouncementsOfficial
The Game Is Feature Complete (0.6.9) + Full Release Date!
The game is now officially feature complete. This means that the full release version will be exactly as the current demo. I just pushed patch 0.6.9 now. IntroductionThe main difference between the demo and the full release is the amount of content. Also, the demo doesn't have unlocks. At the end of a run you are prompted to wishlist the game instead of unlocking content and going back to the title screen. Some content is also locked, even though it's available in the game. Not sure if I should unlock it from now or not. Let's go through all the content.DecksRight now, the game only allows you to select the "Standard" deck. However, the game already has 6 decks implemented. This means 5 decks can't be used. Honestly, I am not sure if players should be able to unlock them in the demo. The full release will have around 10 decks. DifficultiesThe game only offers one difficulty. However, all the difficulties are implemented (10 levels besides the default one). Same issue as the deck. Pet CardsThe current demo has 50 pet cards. The full release will have more cards, but I am not sure how many, probably something in the 70-100 range. Food CardsThere are 7 food cards (one per combo) and 5 extra potions that can be used as items, so 12 overall. Therefore, the goal is to add more item like cards for the full release. The final number will be around 20-30 cards. ActivitiesThere are 15 bosses, on top of the 2 default activities. The number might double for the full release. But it depends on how interesting the current activities are because I might rework some of them.CharmsThere are 4 charms in the game. I am not planning to add more for now. Status EffectsSame as charms. BindingsThese are supposed limitations set on cards. However, there is only one binding in the game that's present in the last difficulty (level 10). So technically, you will never encounter it in the current demo. Mystery GiftsRight now, only 9 are available in the shop. Should be increased to 15-20 effect...Read full article on Community Announcements (NourSaiFR)AnnouncementsOfficial
Save System (Beta Version)
In the latest patch (0.6.4) I added the first version of the save system (Steam cloud compatible). This save system is mainly added to debug issues that happen during a run. Some players had a crash during a run, with no way to share any data or restart the run. I am hoping that the save system will allow players to restart the run in the case of an unexpected bug. I also think it'll be easier for me to help anyone by simply receiving the save file on Discord. This is the first version of the save system so there might be some bugs out there. Let me know if you encounter any issues. Thanks, NourSaiFR PS: It's worth noting that the demo save file will not be compatible with the full game. This is because I might still make some changes to it before the full release.Read full article on Community Announcements (NourSaiFR)AnnouncementsOfficial
Solo Chess (Pokerii)'s Demo Is Out!
Solo Chess (formerly "Pokerii")'s first public demo (0.6.0) is finally here! Here is what the game has so far. Content: 10 Difficulties.6 Decks. 11 Bosses. 50 Pet cards. 7 Mystery gifts. 7 Dessert cards. 5 Drink cards. 2 Status effects (Debuff, Immune). 3 Auras (Polychrome, Negative, Foil). 4 Charms (Blue, Purple, Red, Yellow). 1 Binding (Infinite).Non-Game Specific: There is no save system (might have a test version before the full release). There is only mouse input (no controller for now). There are 12 languages implemented.Nothing is locked for now since I am looking for feedback. It's also worth noting that you have to re-start the game whenever you want to start a new run (will be fixed in future patches).
