About this game
Aurora Directive
Lead an elite tactical squad in a brutal turn-based war for the Nova Prime System - humanity's new home among the stars, guarded by the watchful authority of the Council.
Command a specialized five-member mercenary team deployed to Arvada, a toxic mining world rich in the natural resources that fuel the system's wealth, military might, and advanced body augmentation research.
As the Council's shield against rebel uprisings and the relentless Qrax swarm, you must secure the very foundation of the system's order.
Direct your squad through a hand-crafted narrative campaign where tactical decisions shape the path forward and the line between duty and survival grows thinner with every mission.
Flexible 3 Action Point Combat
Aurora Directive features a flexible 3-Action-Point system, allowing squad members to move, attack, and use abilities in any order. Chain multiple kills, set deadly traps, or strike and fade back into cover before the enemy can react.
Success demands mastery over positioning and timing, rewarding players who adapt their squad's unique roles to shifting battlefield conditions.
Dynamic Turn Structure: Each soldier uses 3 Action Points to move, strike, and reposition in any order.
Tactical Grid Combat: High-stakes positioning where line-of-sight, elevation and cover determine survival.
Five Unique Specialists: Command a permanent squad, each defined by a powerful, character-specific core trait.
Deep Augmentation: Customize your build with a shared pool of experimental tech to define each soldier's role.
Hybrid Arsenal: Master a lethal range of ballistic, melee, and energy-based weaponry.
Action & Reaction: Control the engagement with aggressive strikes, defensive stances, and reaction-based tools.
Core-Powered Maneuvers: Manage rechargeable energy resources to trigger high-impact tactical skills.
The Frontier War: Battle for survival against insurgent human factions and the swarming Qrax.

Development Update #01
Hi everyone, thank you for taking an interest in Aurora Directive. Now that the Steam page is live, I want to use these updates to give a short look at what is currently being worked on and what still needs to happen before the game launches into Early Access.Aurora Directive already has many of its core systems in place, so the main goal now is to make sure Act I feels complete and representative of the final game direction. At the moment, I am moving the last three missions of Act I from the concept phase into the engine. This includes dialogue, unique mission scripting, environments, combat encounters, and scenario-specific objectives. One of these missions will take the squad to an Arvadine extraction facility. The environment needs a bunch of new assets, including industrial gates, additional pipes, tanks, and decals, so the location feels like a harsh extraction site far out in the Wastelands. Part of the Arvadine extraction facility kit currently being built for the upcoming Act I missions. I also found several controller support issues that I want to fix before Early Access, so controller input and UI navigation feel more reliable. Thanks again for checking out the game and following development.Take care, JerryRead full article on Community Announcements (Jerry Keys)
