About this game
Taking inspiration from The Witness, Tunic, and many other great games, Gordian is a finely crafted puzzle game full of tricks and secrets.
Tie all 21 knots as tight as possible in order to learn about topology through the rule set Gordian uses to represent it.
Click to place rope, and then click circles to move it to adjacent tiles.
Right click to undo your last move, hold to undo more.
Earn medals by tying knots as tight as possible, which unlocks more knots for you to puzzle over.
This game can be quite a challenge at times. If you find yourself overwhelmed, your brain tied into knots, just set the game down for a bit. Don't worry, it will save your progress.
Take your time. Before you know it your brain will be solving knots in the background and you'll come back with a whole new perspective.

Instead of one line, what if you could place as many as you wanted?Ropes are more like slime in World 2, opening up moves that you couldn't even dream of before.Study the placement rules carefully. As flexible as World 2 is, it can be tricky to do things that were basic in World 1.World 3:I'm going to keep it mysterious on this one, but you'll definitely have your mind blown if you make it this far.Leaderboards:Leaderboards now display in game. Show off to your friends that you could tie the knot the smallest, or maybe try your hand at topping my personal bests. I have a feeling World 2 still has some some room for improvement.General UI and Usability Updates:I've also made several improvements to Controller support, as well as rebalancing medal requirements after play-testing feedback.Read full article on Community Announcements (Dawncloak)AnnouncementsOfficial
Controller Support and Replays!
Back from hibernation and bringing two highly requested features:First is controller support! Gordian was always meant to be a casual experience accessible on steam deck, and now it's even easier with full controller support. No longer will you have to tap at the screen or emulate mouse controls.Replays have also been added, allowing you to pull back your best attempt from before. If you've been stuck trying to get a good score on the harder knots like Bowline this will help you keep track of your attempts when you take a break.I've also made some slight tweaks to knot unlock order. Before it was a little slow to unlock the more interesting knots, so I've made it slightly easier. You may notice a few new knots unlocked when you log back in.Read full article on Community Announcements (Dawncloak)Patch NotesOfficial
