In Mulerun – Retro Bootlegger Simulator, navigate the treacherous world of moonshine distillation and underground transportation. Manage your farm while evading both CIA and cartel pursuers in a first-person adventure that blends strategy and simulation.

About this game

MULERUN is a first-person crafting, farming, and business simulation game set on a mysterious tropical island in the 1980s.

After escaping a dangerous drug network, the CIA relocates you to a remote island under strict surveillance. A tracking bracelet on your ankle prevents you from traveling too far from the house they gave you.

You’re safe… but you’re also stuck.

With only a run-down shack, a few fruit trees, and some primitive tools, you must find a way to survive, produce, trade, and slowly build a business.

What begins with simple fruit juice production may grow into something far more ambitious.

If you’re clever enough.

Fruit trees, a rusty pickup, a dirt airstrip — and a little side business

the authorities would frown upon: you distill the best moonshine on the island.

Then one night, a black car stops in front of your house. The CIA knows

everything. Fifteen years in prison... or you fly for them. There is no

third option.

**Mulerun** is a first-person bootlegger simulator about building an illegal

liquor empire while serving two masters who must never learn about each other.

## DISTILL

Ferment fruit in barrels, run your still, bottle and cap your product.

Discover recipes from your grandfather's book — from honest Apple Jack to

concoctions that should probably be illegal for entirely different reasons.

Upgrade from a kitchen pot to serious hardware.

## DELIVER

Load your pickup and supply the island: the nightclub, street customers,

harbor orders. Watch your mirrors — the police patrol the roads, and a

trunk full of unlicensed liquor is hard to explain.

## FLY

Your battered plane is your greatest asset. Fly reconnaissance for the CIA:

under the radar, between patrol routes, camera loaded with the good film.

Later, other people will want your piloting skills too — and their cargo

pays much, much better. Mind the weight. The runway is only so long.

## RISK IT

Two employers. One suspicious island. Every job raises the stakes: border

inspections, tails you need to shake, evidence you need to scrub off your

plane. How long can you play both sides?

## TOGETHER

Play solo, or run the operation with up to **4 players in online co-op** —

one flies, one brews, one drives deliveries, one keeps the lights on.

Full controller support and Steam Deck in mind from day one.

The Free Mulerun Demo Launches October 7!

The Free Mulerun Demo Launches October 7!Hey Bootleggers! It’s finally happening: the free demo for Mulerun — Retro Bootlegger Simulator launches on Steam on October 7.I’m developing the game on my own, and a lot of work has gone into getting it to this point. I’m really looking forward to seeing you play it—and honestly, I’m nervous too. Playing your own game every day during development is one thing. Handing it over to people experiencing it for the first time is something else entirely. The CIA gave you a house on a tropical island. Unfortunately, the ankle monitor wasn’t optional. It’s the 1980s, and you’re starting with empty pockets. Gather fruit, buy your supplies, and make your first batch of moonshine. Fill the bottles, pack the crates, and find your first customers. As business picks up, a bigger opportunity comes along: your first smuggling flight.Of course, you’ll need to figure out how to leave your assigned zone with a tracker strapped to your ankle first.Play the demo solo or with up to three friends in online co-op. Once you’ve completed the story portion, you can keep your business running in free play. The game is still in development, so there will be bugs and rough edges. I’ll be reading your feedback and doing my best to fix problems as quickly as possible. Let me know what you enjoyed, what felt confusing, and where you got stuck. That feedback makes a real difference, especially at this stage.See you on the island on October 7. Until then, add Mulerun to your wishlist on Steam!Thank you to everyone who’s been following the development, everyone who has already wishlisted the game, and everyone who’s about to. Your support means a lot.

The First Mulerun Trailer Is Here

The First Mulerun Trailer Is HereAfter almost a year of working on Mulerun, I can finally show you the first trailer.I’ve been developing the game on my own, so a lot of work has gone into getting it to this point. There were plenty of things I had to rebuild, change, or simply start over with along the way, but now the game is finally at a stage where I feel ready to show much more of it.I’m honestly very excited to see what people think. The trailer gives you a first proper look at the game, including making your own liquor, deliveries, vehicles, the ankle monitor system, flying, and the general progression from a very small operation into something much bigger. The demo is also almost ready and should be released in a few days.I want to be realistic about the first version: there will probably be bugs and rough edges. Since I’m developing the game alone, I’m sure players will find things that I missed.I’ll be paying close attention to feedback and I’ll try to fix problems as quickly as I can. That’s also one of the main reasons I’m releasing the demo. I want to see what people enjoy, what feels confusing, what needs more work, and what should be improved before the full release. It feels a little strange to finally put Mulerun in front of players after working on it for so long, but I’m really looking forward to it.Thank you to everyone who has followed the game, already added Mulerun to their wishlist, or decides to wishlist it after seeing the trailer.Every wishlist and every bit of support means a lot to me, especially as a solo developer.I hope you enjoy the trailer. The demo is coming very soon.
