About this game
The Wondrous Wedding of Ivan the Bard is a nonlinear visual novel set in medieval Russia, blending historical accuracy with fantasy elements. You don't play as a knight, a bogatyr, or a mercenary.
Your hero is a simple young man with a gusli, so his only weapons are eloquence and music. A single careless word can turn a conversation hostile. One well-chosen reply can set a girl's heart aflutter. Converse, play the gusli, make friends, enemies, and lovers, and lead Ivan to one of several possible endings.

Novgorod, 13th century. Ivan is a humble gusli player who has come to the city to seek his fortune and find a bride. One day, he falls in love with the prince's daughter and dreams of marrying her, but the dream seems impossible—nothing ever goes Ivan’s way. At his lowest point, fate gives him a chance. Now, Ivan will live through a summer full of adventures in a magical Novgorod, uncover the mysteries of the female heart, win the princess’s love, and gain wealth and fame. But is it possible to have it all? Perhaps the series of choices will lead the hero to a very different destiny.
The plot is inspired by Russian medieval history and the epic songs of the Nordic tradition.
Travel through the fairy-tale medieval Novgorod, communicate with locals, experience adventures with each of the three girls - romantic, dangerous and funny.
Participate in side stories, learn more about the history and culture of the great Russian medieval city.
Complete musical mini-games: learn new epics and gusli tunes. This will help in completing the plot!
The visual style of the game is inspired by the traditions of Russian book illustration, in particular, the works of Ivan Bilibin

We're thrilled to announce our participation in the Women’s Day Sale event, and it's an absolute honor that the organizers selected our game. This is well-deserved—over half our team is made up of women, so today is truly our day and our festival :)Winter brought a quiet period for us as we focused on planning the first chapter of the novel, with hardly any news to share. But spring has arrived, ushering in the next open development phase. We have passed the first crowdfunding milestone!
Hello, this is the CopperSnake Studio. We have surpassed 10% of the crowdfunding goal for futher development of The Wondrous Wedding of Ivan the Bard! It may be a small milestone, but it is very important and valuable to us. It shows that there is interest in our project. Thank you, dear backers!We now continue crowdfunding on Boomstarter.We are currently analyzing the demo's launch, summarizing feedback received from players and streamers, deciding improvements and planning further work. The game is expected to have three more chapters and an epilogue. We want to add more interactivity, choices, and plot branches so that the visual novel truly feels like an interactive adventure, rather than just, well, a novel :)We are also preparing gifts for the backers. Here is one of them: a thank-you letter on birch bark! We couldn’t get real birch bark, although we really wanted to, but we prepared letters on beautiful paper that mimics birch bark, with a stylized font. Each inscription will be unique, including the backer’s name.
