    Annihilation of All Living Things

Hello!First, apologies for the year long silence. If you only follow the development of All Living Things here on Steam and you don't follow me on twitter or instagram you might be unaware of what is going on with the game. As a solo developer I have spent the last year trying to find a publisher or an appropriate grant that would enable me to hire fellow animators and coders to help bring All Living Things to its full visual and gameplay potential. Initially, the intent of the game was to create more complex puzzles as the game progresses. Some of you have accurately assessed that the puzzles are too simple. While I personally have nothing against designing a game that is by design and intent simple, I understand that there are some expectations of games on Steam to be of a certain length to be considered "worth the price".In All Living Things each clickable element has to have a an animated idle and transformation animation between its stages. If we have three clickable elements like most of the current puzzles in the demo, that amounts to 24 transitions (a factorial of 3) to animate. Not bad! But, if we want to make a slightly more complex puzzle of 6 elements, this number grows to 720! There are many design tricks to work around this, but even then I knew I would need help. When the demo came out I was approached by many publishers who all eventually pulled out after several meetings and me explaining the costs and goals of a game like this. I do not begrudge them, this is certainly an experimental and risky project to invest in. What am I doing to fix this situationI have since applied to several European grants. While i've received some initial funding to help kickstart the project, the major grant, Creative Europe, has declined my proposition for this game. Writing these grants is a job and expertise on its own (and it takes a big chunk of your time!) but I am excited to learn it. It is to be expected that I will be rejected a first couple of tries. I am also ...

Its demo only took me 10 minutes, but this claymation picture book puzzle game inspired by medieval alchemy is one to watch out for

ll Living Things is one of those games I had to check out based on its look alone. It's an interactive alchemical picture book with claymation art, and its demo has me looking forward to the full version of this short, experimental mood piece... Read more.

    Mouse Fix!

Dear players, the elusive mouse offset bug has been caught! We had previously released a hotfix for the reported mouse offset bug (which, in case we missed an edge case, is still available, and will remain so until stability has been proven) that allowed players to switch between dynamic and static mouse by pressing M. Today, however, we have released a proper fix! Mouse offset should not haunt you anymore, regardless of monitor setup.Thank you all who reported the bug, and we hope you will enjoy (re)playing the demo, unbothered by mouse ghosts. Sincere apologies for letting the bug slip through in the first place.Kind regards and good fun, MOXO Team.

    Mouse Update - hotfix

Dear players, A bug regarding offset between mouse sprite and it's true position has been reported by some players earlier today. We are working on a proper update to fix the issue. In the meantime, we have addressed the issue by releasing a fix - the ability to disable the dynamic mouse. By pressing the letter M at any point during the game, you can switch between dynamic and static mouse. The new static mouse does not have all of the functionalities of the dynamic mouse, mainly lacking in loading/clicking animations. However, the hover is functional, and its purpose to hint at clickable elements persists. Thank you all for your feedback, and we hope to see you soon in the patch notes once we fix the issue fully. Kind regards,MOXO Team
