About this game
The steaming springs of Stillwater shroud the pine-covered mountain peaks in mist.
Flashlight sweeping forest paths. Lighted windows of the grand lodge, beckoning. Subterranean caverns, moonlit forest clearing. Eyes glinting in the underbrush.
Other lost souls, seeking something, just like you.
And every step of the way, memories of her.

Springs, Eternal is a lo-fi first-person story exploration game in an evocative visual style recalling the dithered and pixelated graphics of late ‘90s-era PC and home console games. Immerse yourself in this eerie, half-remembered otherworld, its dark, winding paths at once inviting and unsettling.
Lose yourself. Seek something else.

Meet over a dozen unique characters, each with their own reasons for being at Stillwater Springs: the philosophers engaging in a debate that could last a lifetime; the tattooist waiting to inscribe you with your future; the old men, the widow, the young lovers— branching dialogue reveals who they are, how their stories relate to your own, and what other secrets Stillwater might be hiding…

Along the way you’ll piece together your memory of the relationship that led you here. First sparks to dying embers. Moments over years, glimpses of what you had. Experience a romance both humanistic and heartfelt, and where it will lead you next.
Springs, Eternal: A compact story exploration game from Fullbright, developed by the writer & lead designer of Gone Home, Tacoma, and BioShock 2: Minerva’s Den.
A short, focused, supernatural-inflected first-person narrative game (around 2-3 hours to fully complete.) The dark paths you walk are ominous, but you can’t die… can you?
Experience all that a mysterious, secluded hot springs retreat has to offer. Multiple tucked-away pools, caverns, and other odd attractions. The map gradually expands as you explore, revealing new discoveries.
Evocative lo-fi graphics express the essence of this place through shimmering pixels and dithered fog.
Over a dozen unique characters to encounter. Talk with them face-to-face, exploring topics via branching dialogue. Learn their stories and how they relate to your own.
Delve into a series of memories reliving the romantic relationship that brought you to this point. Flashbacks create a portrait of two people, their life together, and who they’ll become.
Criss-cross the paths of Stillwater Springs using what you learn in one conversation to unlock new dialogue threads and new guest interactions elsewhere. Use your powers of observation to unearth all that Springs, Eternal has in store.

Announcing the next game from Fullbright: SPRINGS, ETERNAL
Coming in 2026: A new lo-fi first-person first-person narrative game from Fullbright. Announced today at the PC Gaming Show Most Wanted Showcase! You can learn all about it on the official Steam store page (and Wishlist Now!) (and follow the Fullbright Newsletter for updates all along the way right in your inbox!) but here's the rundown:Springs, Eternal is a lo-fi (”Dreamcast-era” or maybe late-’90s PC graphics) first-person story exploration game (”walking simulator”) that takes place at a secluded hot springs in the dead of night. You’ll traverse the grounds, flashlight in hand, visiting the pools, saunas, caverns, grand lodge, and other points of interest on the map.At each location you’ll get to meet other visitors and learn their stories through branching dialogue interactions. Some of these visitors have unique topics that you can unlock by performing specific actions elsewhere; some of the encounters may not be quite of this world…Along the way you’ll relive moments from the romantic relationship that brought you here through flashbacks that draw you into these two characters’ story bit by bit. There are over a dozen different characters you’ll meet and interact with, and over 30,000 words of dialogue. The dialogue is all in text and branching dialogue; bring your reading glasses. The idea behind Springs, Eternal is inspired by my own experience visiting Breitenbush Hot Springs here in Oregon and getting up to go out to the geothermal pools in the middle of the night all alone. It really is a pretty freaky experience!Springs, Eternal probably takes around a few hours to complete, especially if you want to try to unlock everything that’s hidden. If you try to rush through it it’s definitely a short game, but how much you dig is up to you.Springs, Eternal is mostly open-structure: you can explore the grounds as you see fit, though the map does start more closed off and expands over time, so it’s player-driven exploration in stages as the map continues to open up....Read full article on Community Announcements (calmingoceanwaves)
