  Hello everyone!Misty Valley: A Cozy Fishing Tale is taking part in Steam Next Fest, and we have prepared a special updated demo just for the occasion! Whether you are new to the valley or coming back for another trip, this is the perfect moment to grab your rod and cast a line.What Is New in the DemoFor Next Fest, we gave the demo a real overhaul. There are plenty of UX and UI improvements, a range of gameplay fixes, and a new fishing mechanic that changes how landing a catch feels. We would love for you to try it out and let us know what you think. Your feedback genuinely shapes where the game goes next, so please leave us your thoughts, impressions, and any issues you run intoWhat You Can Play in the DemoThe demo is a real slice of Misty Valley, not just a teaser. You can play the full skill-based fishing loop, sail your boat, explore the map, sell your catch, upgrade your gear, and follow the story's opening. The farming, cooking, and crafting systems are all there to try too. It stands on its own as a complete experience and lays the foundation the rest of the game builds on.What Is Coming in the Early AccessEarly Access builds on the demo and goes deeper. The world grows, the story begins to unfold, and many of the systems you know from the demo are expanded and improved.   Fishing, UI & Notebook Update & Ocean Fest 2026

  Hey everyone!We’ve been working on some important changes to make Misty Valley feel smoother, clearer, and more fun to play. Plus, we are super excited to announce that this updated demo is part of Ocean Fest 2026! The Big Fishing Overhaul The biggest change is fishing. We replaced the old minigame-style fishing system with a new mouse-driven interactive fishing mechanic. It is a little more challenging now, but also much more engaging and satisfying once you get the hang of it. Fishing should feel less like a simple minigame and more like something you actively control.Please try it and share your thoughts with us. Your feedback really helps us shape the game.UI ImprovementsWe also made a big pass on the UI. The menus are now more readable, cleaner, and easier to use. We wanted the game to feel cozy, but also clear and accessible.The New Notebook SystemThere is also a new Notebook system where you can now:Track your questsCheck your achievementsSee your relationships with the villagersThis should make it much easier to follow your progress, remember what you were doing, and stay connected with the people of Misty Valley.As always, we are still improving things step by step.
