Regarding Game Crashes (Fatal Error) on DX12 Due to Lumen Compatibility
Dear Players,We have recently received reports from some players experiencing "fatal error" crashes after playing for a while under the DX12 mode. Thanks to a dedicated player who conducted detailed tests, we have been able to pinpoint the cause. After comparing with official sources, we have confirmed that this is a known stability issue with Unreal Engine 5 when using the DX12 + Lumen combination—specifically, a memory management bug in the engine's lighting calculations that can lead to crashes after extended gameplay. The engine team has acknowledged related bugs in version 5.4, and while versions 5.5 and 5.6 fixed some of them, they introduced new instability. Therefore, simply upgrading the engine version is not a definitive solution at this time.Temporary Workaround If you encounter crashes under DX12, we recommend temporarily switching to DX11 mode. According to player tests, DX11 runs stably for hours without crashing, and there is virtually no noticeable visual degradation (under DX11, Lumen automatically falls back to software mode, so the visuals remain excellent). How to Switch to DX11? You can change the graphics API from DX12 to DX11 in the game launcher or in the in-game graphics settings. If there is no direct option, you can add the -dx11 launch parameter (please refer to your platform's instructions for details). We would like to extend a special thank you to player @TravUSMC88 for helping us identify this issue and providing a temporary workaround through their detailed testing. Your contribution is invaluable! We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support. We will continue to monitor official updates from Unreal Engine and will inform you as soon as a more stable version is available.Thank you for your continued support, and happy gaming! Patch and bug fix 2026/2/13
Hello, dear players! This update focuses on fixing a number of in-game bugs and logic issues to improve overall stability and smoothness. We’ve also made some adjustments based on your feedback—hope it brings you a more comfortable cafe management experience. Below are the details for this update:🔧 Issue FixesNow dropped items will be cleared after loading a save file.Changed the default startup mode to windowed fullscreen to prevent a fatal error caused by DX12 when entering fullscreen at launch.Adjusted the icons for empty cups and coffee to prevent visual confusion between the two.Optimized model poly counts to reduce VRAM usage.Fixed an issue where staff would grab all drinks from the storage shelf at once instead of taking only one.Fixed an issue where moving equipment on a table would create a new table instead of keeping the original one; now the table moves together with the equipment.Picking up a table with equipment now also collects the equipment placed on it.The big tree now becomes hidden when the camera approaches it, improving visibility.Removed the unlimited frame rate option that previously caused crashes or freezes; the default frame rate is now set to 60 for smoother performance.Optimized texture sizes to reduce memory usage.Reduced polygon count for dropped item models for better performance.Added the ability to recruit customers by holding the left mouse button.A special thank you to player @TravUSMC88 for your testing and helping us pinpoint the cause of the fatal error—we truly appreciate it!📌 Friendly Reminder If you encounter any new issues after the update, or if you have suggestions for the game, feel free to reach out to us via the in-game feedback channel or our community groups!Thank you for your continued support and patience.
