Step into the shoes of Maho, a high school freshman whisked into a dreamlike world of rooftops, monsters, and one very reliable Pink Sugar Bear. Guided by your fluffy companion, you’ll dash across endless skylines, battle with a sprinkle of magic, and feed sweets to your foes to send them scurrying away!

Right now, we’re focused on perfecting the endless mode and adding three new monsters to story mode. These are already in active development and will be part of the core experience.
If our Kickstarter is successful, we’ll expand the dream with even more features — starting with a global leaderboard and additional magical surprises for players to discover.
We’re a tiny team of two (an artist + a programmer) creating Magic Maho out of love for kawaii anime magic girls and cozy indie games. This demo is just the beginning — with your feedback, we’ll polish and expand the dream until the full game launches in 2026.

Hello Dreamers!A quick thank you to everyone who played Magic Maho Dream Runner and gave us helpful feedback. Today, we wanted to give a brief update on the status and timeline for MMDR. Quick HistoryCurrent StateNext Goals Quick HistoryWe're a very small team of two, and to get to this point, we spend about 2 years building several vertical slice prototypes of MMDR. Each version took heavy consideration of feedback from online communities like Itch.io and our own personal communities. Our most recent slice proved really fun and full of potential for a small arcade-style experience with some potential to sprinkle the story. We took this slice and built it out for Steam's Fall NextFest 2025 and have been so thankful for the wonderful people and communities who have checked out, wishlisted, played, and streamed MMDR.
