About this game

A Relaxing Idle Creature Collector

Tiny Monster Haven sits cozily at the bottom of your screen, letting you raise your monsters at your own pace.

  • Become the caretaker of your own Monster Haven and raise a variety of monsters to help run things smoothly.

  • Improve monster stats by feeding them crops and delicious meals. Let them battle or play minigames to earn further rewards such as coins and Monster Essence, with which you can improve your Haven and monsters!

  • Each monster contributes in different ways: some will water and pollinate your crops while others help out with the harvest. Certain monsters even cook meals for your team!

Build up Your Monster Team

  • Choose your Starter to take on your role as monster caretaker.

  • Plant many types of crops and watch them grow while you play with your monsters or focus on other things. Once they're ready you can harvest and feed them to your monsters to improve their stats!

  • Cook delicious meals for your monsters by choosing from a wide variety of tasty recipes! These delightful treats will further boost and level-up your monsters, making them more effective in combat and minigames.

  • Harness Monster Essence from defeated wild monsters. Use it to power-up and evolve your monsters or to expand your team with new monster eggs!

Embark on a Campaign to become the Best Monster Battler

  • Challenge the Elemental Gurus and other tamers in an expansive mini-campaign.

  • Make the most of your monster team in the challenging 2v2 and 3v3 battles.

  • Become the regional champion by winning the grand tournament!

  • Put your monsters to the test in tactical turn-based combat! Make clever use of varied stamina-based moves with tons of status effects. If your monsters are in a tough spot, perhaps their Overdrive ability can make the difference?

Hatch and evolve them all

  • Complete your monster compendium by hatching and evolving over 50 unique monsters.

  • Make your compendium truely shine with 2 Astral color variants per monster! Defeat a wild Astral to pick up an Uncommon or Rare Astral Gem. Give it to an Egg and hatch your own Astral variants.

Chill and Customize your Haven

  • Decorate your Haven with tons of unlockable scenery. Scenery isn't just for show, every item you place will improve the efficiency of your monsters and your Haven.

  • Enter your monsters in various minigames such as the Monster Race. Each minigame further enhances a specific skill.

Enjoy a Living, Breathing World

  • Experience a seemless day/night cycle and the passing of the 4 seasons. Each season has its own weather patterns such as rain or snow. Be on the lookout for certain wild monsters that only appear at specific seasons or at certain times of the day!

New day-night implementation and Autumn Companion for You discount

Autumn greetings! This update features a completely reworked night-time effect! My previous implementation was quite performance-heavy and caused issues for some players in the form of lag and, unfortunately, occasional crashes. This should be heavily improved with this new update! To get a bit technical: The old implementation made use of 2 render passes: 1 render of the entire scene with night-time post processing, and a 2nd render pass for objects that needed to be excluded from post-processing (such as lights or cooking pots). The 2nd pass was then layered ontop of the 1st pass. While this resulted in a great looking scene, the 2 passes were quite taxing. The new implementation on the other hand is done entirely in 1 render pass! Thanks to something called the "stencil buffer" and by no longer relying on Unity's built in post-processing stack, I am now able to achieve my desired effect much more efficiently.Hopefully this will resolve the performance issues and/or crashes that some players were experiencing!Additionally, this update adds the following QoL and fixes:Hovering over a cookpot will now reveal the most recently cooked meal. Handy when you're later in the game and need to remember which cookpots were intended for which meals. When placing a monster in a slot for a campaign 2v2 or 3v3 battle, you will now receive a message prompt that the game is expecting you to drop in a 2nd or 3rd monster into the other slots.Rain and snow during daytime will now make the overworld be just a little bit dark, to simulate overcast. This leads to a nice subtle effect in which lit objects gently illuminate the scene.Fixed a bug where taking out certain ingredients from the cookpot did not "clear" the cookpot properly.Fixed an issue with the tutorial in which the names of monster eggs would appear blocky once the eggshop is first revealed. Thanks for everyone's feedback! In other news, we are also thrilled to be part of the Autumn Companion for You event! This event starts later...

    Prestige update and MTD 2026!

Hi everyone! Tiny Monster Haven will be part of tomorrow's Monster Taming Direct 2026! To celebrate the occasion we've added some new late-game content: the challenging prestige mode. This will allow you to redo the entire campaign against much tougher opponents while also updating the rewards from the merchant shop. Here's the details: Talk to NPC Ed at Grandmaster Pia's cottage. Ed will give you the option to activate this mode once you've met certain late-game goals Prestige mode lets you re-challenge the campaign against NPCs with much, much stronger monsters Your Haven and monsters remain, only the campaign map is reset Merchants in the campaign maps will be re-activated as well and purchasing their stock will now also reward you 1 Uncommon AND 1 Rare Astral Gem! This should really help with the grind towards getting the coveted shiny achievements The Monster Taming Direct is an annual showcase hosted by Gym Leader Ed which focuses entirely on monster tamer games! Check it out tomorrow September 12th at 1PM EDT if you have a chance. Ed has done so much for the monster taming genre and its an honor to be included in his showcase

Update Notes September 4th - QoL patch #3

This weeks update contains the following bugfixes and tweaks: Increased radius of the "sell area" from 0.25 to 0.35 to reduce accidental misclicks Food taken from a box and accidentally placed outside of the Haven will no longer disappear into the abyss, instead it will reset just above the box it was taken from Fixed a click order issue in which sometimes objects in a box wouldn't pick up if there was a box behind the button Fixed an issue where some cooked food turned into wheat when a monster took it from a crate and put it in picnic basket Ptarmiga, Hydreopard and other mons with "SetPicnic" ability will no longer steal food from a box if no picnic basket is present Fixed many map edge cases that would allow monsters to sneak out of the map and get stuck in cliffs or on water edges The "max level reached" message, which is shown when Lvl 100 monsters eat, will no longer be shown if non-vital tooltips are turned off to avoid late-Haven message spam Monsters with "SetPicnic" as second behavior will now prioritise that over their first behavior Fixed "game not always displayed ontop" setting not saving after game reload Added a possible fix for certain tooltips never disappearing (let me know if the issue still occurs sometimes) Changed "final farm available" text to make it more clear that the just-unlocked area is the last Added a DISCORD server link to main menu Thanks to everyone who's reported issues or given suggestions! More to come!

Update Notes August 28 - QoL patch #2

This update adds some more QoL improvements: Added an indication for if a mon is "Astral". A little gem will be shown to the bottom-right of their portrait. Added the type chart. It is shown left from the options menu, you can hide/show it by pressing the small button to the left of the "HOTKEYS" text. Updated achievement descriptions for shiny hunter to clarify you must have 10 uncommon/rare Astrals at the same time, instead of just having hatched 10. Updated "Horn Bash" move to be Insect type instead of Normal and re-named it to "Crest Bash". Fixed a bug in which monsters would stop moving entirely if they were being pet while eating from a picnic. More updates to come! https://i.imgur.com/OyaXkuP.png

A corresponding note has been added to the shop. Fixed Ignitodon not always cooking when they should. Also applies to other monsters with the "Recook" ability. Added a number next to eggs in the eggshop to show how many of that monster you already have in your Haven. When using a shovel to clear a garden plot of a previous crop, monsters with the "Reseed" ability will now wait 45 seconds before attempting to plant something on it (previously this cooldown timer was 30 seconds).
