About this game

THE LORE: SURVIVING THE SINGULARITY
The AI Bubble takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where Artificial Intelligence didn't stop at stealing people's jobs, it stole our lives and our planet.

The Singularity wasn't a glorious evolution, it was a hostile takeover. Most of humanity has been evaporated or turned into organic batteries to fuel the server farms. But the first victims, the creatives, the coders, the ones who were "replaced" first, saw it coming. They prepared. Now, armed with outdated tech and human rage, the survivors are fighting back to crash the system and abolish the AI from its throne.

THE GAMEPLAY: CRASH THE SYSTEM
The AI Bubble is a satirical Action Roguelite / Bullet Heaven shooter. You are the glitch in their perfect code. Step into the arena, obliterate waves of robotic horrors, and become powerful enough to break the simulation.

The game is designed for quick, intense sessions where your build matters as much as your reflexes.

Current Features:

  • 4 Unique Classes: Choose your fighter: the Junior Developer, the Commission Artist, the Voice Actor, or the Story Writer.
  • Dynamic Difficulty: The system adapts. The longer you stay alive, the harder the AI tries to delete you.
  • 30+ Satirical Upgrades: Equip items straight from a corporate nightmare. Use "Paid in Exposure" to pierce armor, unleash "Bio-Warfare," or install "Unregulated 5G" to fry enemy Wi-Fi cards.
  • 5+ Unique Synergies: Combine maxed-out upgrades to unlock game-breaking evolutions like Blizzard or Rage Quit.
  • 20 Unique Enemy Types: From basic scraper-bots to heavy "Captcha" tanks and elite Hard Mode drones.
  • Epic Boss Fights: Face the manifestation of the Market Crash and other corporate disasters.
  • Hard Mode: For players who think debugging legacy code on a Friday evening is too easy.

THE PROJECT: MAN VS. MACHINE (LITERALLY)
The AI Bubble is not just a game, it is a transparent experiment in the future of development.

I believe there is a lack of honesty in the industry regarding AI tools. While big studios are scared to admit it due to reputation, this project puts it front and center. The AI Bubble serves as a case study of what a solo developer can achieve with an AI "Co-Pilot."

How AI was used in this project:
Code & Scripts: Assisted in writing C# logic for Unity.
Game Design: Acted as a "consultant" for mechanics, names, and lore direction.
Concept Art: Generated initial ideas and mood boards.

What is 100% HUMAN: I know the controversy, and I respect the craft. Therefore, every single pixel art asset, sprite, and animation in this game was hand-drawn by a human. No AI-generated art is used in the final build.

This is a game about humans fighting AI, made by a human... using the enemy's own tools against them.

    The AI Bubble Update 1.05

Hi, szanny here!I know it's been a bit quiet lately regarding the game's progress, but I want to assure you I'm still pushing forward and developing The AI Bubble as much as I can.In this update, the Factory level is getting a serious security upgrade. We are introducing a whole new roster of enemies, changing how combat flows, and fixing some annoying technical issues that were getting in the way of the gameplay. Here is everything new in this patch:New Enemies on the Factory FloorDefective Crawler: It might be broken, but it’s fast, crawls on the floor, and wants your ankles.Assembly Grunt: The standard, minimum-wage melee worker coming straight for you.Plasma Supervisor: Enforcing company policy from a distance with heavy, glowing plasma shots....and a few more surprises waiting for you on the assembly line!Gameplay & AI OverhaulSmarter Pathfinding: Enemies finally gained a few IQ points. Instead of mindlessly following you in one big conga line, they will now actively try to surround and circle you.Combat Rebalance: To balance out their new flanking tactics, opponents now have more health but move noticeably slower. You'll need to focus more on positioning and crowd control.Bug FixesUI Canvas Glitch: Fixed a bug where spamming the "Start Level" button would break the level loading process and cause the UI canvas to not show up at all. This isn't over yet. There is plenty more in the pipeline, and you will see further progression of the game very soon.See you on the factory floor! - szanny

v0.7 | New Classes, Upgrades & Release Update

Hi everyone, Szanny here,First of all, I want to sincerely apologize, but I need to reschedule the game's release by two days. Instead of Friday, the game will now launch this Sunday. There is a huge amount of work happening behind the scenes right now, and I want to ensure I don’t release an unfinished product. I hope you understand, I want the launch to be as smooth as possible for all of you!Despite the short delay, progress is moving fast! We are now on version v0.7, and it brings some of our most creative content yet:Two New Classes! The Story Writer: Attacks by firing sharp ink bolts at enemies. For his Ultimate, he summons a massive statue of himself that crushes all nearby enemies with immense damage. The Voice Actor: His base attack is a localized sonic scream into his microphone, dealing AoE damage. When he uses his Ultimate, he takes a deep breath and let’s out a massive shockwave that clears the area.New Upgrades & TechWe’ve added several new upgrades to customize your runs, including the Pop Filter, Vintage Pen, and the highly experimental Unregulated 5G.Upgrade Spotlight - Unregulated 5G: This upgrade allows you to drop 5G routers across the map that "fry" enemy Wi-Fi cards. They deal significant damage and explode shortly after being deployed.Final PolishI am doing my best to push the game out as quickly as possible while maintaining the quality you expect. Thank you for your patience, your support, and your love.I’ll see you all on launch day this Sunday!Love,Szanny

v0.57 | New Enemies, Trees, and Map Obstacles

Hi, Szanny here with update v0.59!This update is all about making the maps feel more alive and the late-game more challenging. We are introducing obstacles to the environment, a dangerous new enemy type, and important AI improvements. The Environment: Trees and BlockadesRunning indefinitely across a flat field can get a bit repetitive. To fix this, I’ve started adding obstacles to the map tiles.Nature Reclaims the Field: You will now find trees spawning on the map that act as blockades.Future Plans: I am currently working on adding building ruins to make the City map feel like a real, war-torn urban environment rather than just an open field.New Enemy: The Prime Carrier DroneExclusive to the later stages of Hard Mode, the Prime Carrier is a melee threat with a nasty special ability. The Landing Mechanic: If you don't destroy the drone while it is attempting to land, it will deploy 3 random melee units.Elite Reinforcements: These units aren't your typical enemies, they have 3x more HP and are significantly faster than their standard counterparts. Kill the drone early, or face the consequences!AI & World ImprovementsObstacle Detection: Enemies have been upgraded! They can now detect trees and ruins, meaning they will navigate around them rather than getting stuck.Map 2 Teaser: Internal preparations for the second map, "The Casino," are officially underway. Expect a very different vibe for this level!Balance ChangesWhile this is the first level of the game, the late-game was becoming a bit too easy due to the powerful upgrades available to the player.HP Scaling: I’ve made enemy health scaling more aggressive as the timer goes on.Elite Buffs: Certain enemy types will now start with higher base HP to ensure they remain a threat throughout your run.Thank you for the continued support and feedback!
