New from Ducknest Games: 162-0 - a free browser-based baseball draft game!
Hi Ducks! If you enjoyed Diceball, we've got something new for you to try, and it's free.We just released 162-0, a browser game from the same team here at Ducknest Games. A slot machine deals you a random franchise and a random decade, and you draft one real hitter for each of the nine lineup spots from that team's actual history. Then it simulates how your roster would do. The goal is the impossible one: a perfect 162-0 record.Every player is a real season pulled from baseball history, with stats era-adjusted so a 1930s slugger and a 2020s star get compared fairly. It turns into a fun "who would you take" puzzle, and no two runs feel the same. What to expect:Free to play, no signup, no adsWorks on phone or desktop, right in your browserReal players and stats across more than a century of baseball, Negro Leagues includedQuick to pick up, easy to lose an afternoon toPlay it now at:162-0.netThank you for supporting our small indie studio. Diceball is what made 162-0 possible, and we've got more on the way. If you give 162-0 a spin, we'd love to hear what you think. Many continued mthanks,Ducknest GamesRead full article on Community Announcements (Juno)Patch NotesOfficial
Diceball Update 1.1.3
Hi everyone, Checking in with a small update for Diceball that addresses some in-game pricing adjustments for purchasable cards and updates Diceball's Unity version to account for the recent Unity security vulnerability. Per Unity: "A critical security vulnerability has been identified affecting games and applications built with Unity 2017.1 and later for Android, Windows, and macOS. This vulnerability may allow malicious actors with local access to execute arbitrary code within your application’s context, potentially leading to data exposure or privilege escalation."You can read more about this security issue on Unity's website at the link here, but rest assured Diceball has been updated properly to ensure there are no security vulnerability issues with your version of the game. Please reach out if you encounter any persistent bugs or issues. The full change log can be found below: Diceball Update 1.1.3 Patch Notes- Adjusted prices of over 30 cards to work more in-tandem with recent balancing changes made in Diceball 1.1- Fixed Cycle City Sluggers' starter card, Leaned In, which was granting players an extra five walks in Game 2. - Updated Unity's version to accommodate recent security vulnerability issue. Update 1.1.2

You can check out the full changes below: The 'DFA'd' Achievement has been lowered to 50 Losses (was previously 100). Fixed 'One of Everything' AchievementPlayers who have already unlocked all consumables may need to purchase an additional consumable at the Concession Stand on their next run to receive this Achievement.Fungo Falls 'Starter Card' has been changed to "Player 'Single' Have a 25% Chance to be 'Homerun'." We hope this fixes some of the pain points with using Fungo Falls, but keep the feedback rolling!Changed the color of text on the in-game Clipboard for the Player when the Opponent has a card that affects Player dice roll outcomes (was previously Yellow, is now Red).Read full article on Community Announcements (ducknestgames)Patch NotesOfficial
Diceball Update 1.1.1
Diceball Update 1.1.1Checking back in with our players after Diceball Update 1.1, we received feedback that some cards were not working as intended (Endorsements, Waste Pitch, Warning Track). In addition to these fixes, we've also been playing Diceball a LOT here at Ducknest Games and have found that the difficulty pendulum has swung very far in the opposite direction. Right now, we feel it is far too easy to crush the opponent in most games. That being said, we've balanced the opponent teams in Games 2-10 to have more cards and better outcomes. We will continue to monitor difficulty and adjust as need be, but we hope these changes bring back a little bit of the challenge to Diceball. Full changes can be found below: Game 2, Game 3, Game 4 opponents now have one card and have had a former 'Out' outcome replaced with a 'Double'.Game 5, Game 6, Game 7 opponents now have two cards and have had two 'Out' outcomes replaced with 'Double' and 'Triple'.Game 8, Game 9, Game 10 opponents now have three cards and have had former 'Out' outcomes replaced with a 'Double', 'Triple', and 'Homerun'.Fixed a bug that was causing the old 'Barreled Up' card effect to still be present in certain scenarios. Turned the lights off in the Locker Room on teams that are currently 'LOCKED'.Read full article on Community Announcements (ducknestgames)Patch NotesOfficial
Diceball Update 1.1
Diceball Update 1.1Hi everyone! First off we want to start by thanking everyone that purchased and supported Diceball over the last couple months. We've done a ton of reflecting on the feedback we gathered from our players during this period. Your feedback has been invaluable, and with this outpouring of information, we have made some massive changes to Diceball's card and consumable items, as well as implemented many other changes and fixes in this Update 1.1. Swing-and-a-Miss Our most-received feedback items for Diceball were that 1) the teams after Rain Delay Bay were not unlocking properly and 2) that the game was far too difficult because a majority of the cards and consumables were either too expensive or downright bad. We know we missed the strike zone on this one and we apologize. We know how frustrating it was to be on the receiving end of a beatdown by the opponent. However, we're happy to share that in Update 1.1, we have fixed the team-unlocking issue and we have taken an aggressive approach to re-balancing all of the cards and consumables. In addition to our full-scale rebalancing efforts, we have made the decision to remove all non-original baseball outcomes, i.e. Single+, Double+, etc. We felt that a lot of these outcomes were not improving the overall gameplay loop and in fact made the game much more unnecessarily obtuse. All of these prior outcomes have been changed to an original outcome. We feel this will be a net positive change but apologize if there were any Single+ lovers out there. Please continue the outpouring of feedback via our channels and reach out with any bug issues or general feedback. Thank you all again for your continued support! This will be Diceball's last "major" update, as Ducknest Games will now shift focus to work full-time on Project #2. Follow us here and on our socials for development updates and we'll have lots to share when we're ready! Play Ball!
