Dev update/092026: progress report
Hi!September Dev update is here.No fancy renders this time, dear reader.More of a collection of work-in-progress screenshots and a small report on what I've been working on. Mechs - OptmizationI've been working on optimizing the mech models to reduce their memory footprint in the game.Along the way, some models also received small redesign tweaks. Some of them I hadn't touched in more than six months, and you can always see things with fresh eyes after some time away.I guess these aren't the final revisions either =)But they're definitely getting better. Environment - Arena blockoutsI finally started working on the environment side of things. This is quite an interesting topic in itself, so I wanted to share some of the exploration. The environment isn't finalized yet, it's still very much in the exploration phase. But right now, I have a much clearer idea of what I want to see. Here are the latest blockout explorations related to the arenas. Moreover, since I want the environments to be fully destructible, once I finalize the "beauty" passes for the buildings, we'll need to figure out how to break them apart in a way that supports the gameplay I have in mind.(The idea behind it: Buildings should be usable as cover, absorbing incoming damage from high angles while our mech guy is safely sitting inside.)So if it's a 2–3 story building, we should be able to destroy one floor and a couple of beams while leaving the supporting structure intact, allowing the floor above to remain standing. If the supporting beams are destroyed, the entire corresponding section of the building should collapse. My tests with Unreal's Chaos physics weren't satisfactory, so I'll try implementing another system specifically designed around this vision. Customization - Unique decalsFor the demo, I prepared some unique decals inspired by "nose art" from model kit builders. Here’s one of the famous jaws. For some of them, it looks really funny. These would be applied on top of the color customization ...Read full article on Community Announcements (ASt8rn-L.I.S.T.E.D.)Patch NotesOfficial
Dev update/082026: Weapon Turrets - Harpy
Hi!August Dev update is here.I’ve been working on the turret visuals this month.Vailerd provided the updated version of their kinetic Harpy turret.(All concepts shown are still WIP and not final in-game visuals.)It’s one of the workhorses across all sectors. It’s cheap and reliable, with a decent amount of durability relative to the number of shots fired. You can always see the old Harpy models on one of the arena fights.(As a remark: for all turrets in the upcoming demo I intentionally will not add animations, to reduce the workload for the demo and focus more on polishing and game mechanics)Thank you!-AlexRead full article on Community Announcements (ASt8rn-L.I.S.T.E.D.)Patch NotesOfficial
Dev update/072026: Cinematic - Teaser
Hi!July Dev UpdateI hope you enjoy it and get a real feel for the project's atmosphere! All the turning gears and sweat poured into this project are now heading toward the DEMO. I’ll do my best to get it out in Q4 this year - though reality may have other plans.Thank you!-AlexRead full article on Community Announcements (l.i.s.t.e.d.prototype)Patch NotesOfficial
Dev update/062026: new agrav chassis EULE - final chassis for the demo.
Hi!June Dev UpdateIntroducing the "EULE", a concept mech from the Pa.K manufacturer.(Note: All concepts shown are still WIP and do not represent final in-game visuals.)The EULE is the lightest mech in the Pa.K’s anti-gravity (agrav) lineup.Like all agravs, the EULE can smoothly hover over small obstacles without destroying them. Its excellent mobility gives it a significant advantage in arena combat, especially when you need to quickly break line of sight or reposition. However, this comes at the cost of minimal hardpoints and auxiliary slots. It is probably one of the most complex mechs across all lineups. Since the EULE is the last chassis planned for the demo, my hands are a bit freer now. I can finally focus on the other parts of the project.A big thank you to everyone who added the project to their Wishlist! You keep me motivated to keep working on it.I hope you’ll like the teaser! For the teaser cinematic:It’s now entering the final phase of production. My laptop isn’t quite powerful enough to produce perfect shots, but I’m hoping to finalize all the sequences and complete it over the next couple of weeks. Thank you!-AlexRead full article on Community Announcements (l.i.s.t.e.d.prototype)Patch NotesOfficial
Dev update/052026: new agrav chassis Rabe
Hi!May Dev UpdateIntroducing the "RABE", a concept mech from the Pa.K manufacturer.(Note: All concepts shown are still WIP and do not represent final in-game visuals.)The RABE currently serves as a modified, lightweight version of its larger sibling in Pa.K’s agrav (anti-gravity) lineup.Like all agravs, the RABE can smoothly hover over small obstacles without destroying them. This gives it a significant advantage in arena combat, especially when you need to quickly break line of sight or reposition. However, as with most agrav chassis, the RABE has relatively low structural durability. Due to its smaller size, it also features a limited number of auxiliary and chassis slots. Because of these trade-offs, it's recommended only for advanced and seasoned pilots. On the other side of the project, I am fully focused on producing project cinematic teaser. Hopefully, I can finish that up soon too!Thank you!-AlexRead full article on Community Announcements (l.i.s.t.e.d.prototype)
