Pelikeeper Demo v1.2 is OUT NOW!!!
Hello Pelicans! We have a new update for the Pelikeeper demo that includes a bunch of new stuff:1.2 Patch NotesUpdated the waves for levels 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 and the BossUpdated waves include new Fish School and Hermit Crab enemiesFish Schools spawn a group of small fish that travel down the path together and are each immune to piercing projectilesHermit Crab enemies will move down the path slowly and randomly stop to hide in their shell, becoming immune to damage for a short period of timeTotal wave number will increase as you progress through the demo (to introduce new enemies at a reasonable pace). This means that the overall demo is shorter, but is much more fun to complete and not as longOverhauled stardust economy and readjusted stardust to be gained per enemy damaged/killed rather than over the course of a wave (this means you get more stardust as you kill more enemies rather than getting a big burst of stardust when completing a wave)Base rat tower attack speed changed from 0.65 to 0.635Frog tower base price decreased from 335 stardust to 300Frog tower bottom path tier 1 upgrade decreased from 320 to 290Frog projectile speed increased by 25%VASTLY increased performance (no lag spikes should occur even on high intensity rounds)Level 1.3 has been completely redone with a new path for enemiesLevel 1.4 has been removed (rip)The Boss level will start you with more stardust than normal levelsBase Building has been reworked and now allows you to walk around and talk to animals as they wander around the townLots of miscellaneous polish to towers, boss level, base building and bugfixes across the gameThere's a LOT more we have planned for the full game, and we're full speed ahead on more enemies, bigger and better boss fights, many new animals, towers, project upgrades, decorations and a bunch of new levels! We're very happy with where the demo stands with version 1.2 and would love to hear your feedback on what you think. Also, we plan to run a series of playtests ...Read full article on Community Announcements (mergeconflictstudio)Patch NotesOfficial

Officially Announcing Pelikeeper!
What is Pelikeeper?Pelikeeper is a comfy tower defense and base-building strategy game about building community and restoring light to the world. You’ll grow and defend the settlement around your lighthouse, rescue lost animal neighbors, and return constellations to the cosmos. Why play it?because video games are awesome duhActual answer: Pelikeeper will be offering a new community-centric take on the tower defense genre by combining it with base-building elements, a nostalgic, dreamlike aesthetic, and calming vibes. While it will be a game you can optimize like other tower defenses, Pelikeeper will also be a game you can unwind with. Our StoryAfter developing our last game, Gemporium, in 5 months of cumulative dev time, we quickly moved on to the next game in our current “rapid development” model, which at the time was called Project Wish.Back when we were prototyping and pitching ideas before Gemporium started development, Wish was another concept that we were excited about. We actually decided on it being the next game months before Gemporium came out, and even took a sort of break during Gemporium’s development to create a first prototype of Wish, which became Pelikeeper. Our current rapid development model of making smaller games is a product of our unique development situation; Merge Conflict is a freshly formed team of five friends all living in one house together, and by releasing games this way we hope to gain experience, build our game catalog, and remain sustainable as a company. We hope you’ll join us on this next journey and look forward to the release of Pelikeeper!-The Merge Conflict TeamRead full article on Community Announcements (NaXEthan)
