    v1.1.10 - Changelog

For a long time there's been a recurring issue of the game starting to a black screen, with inputs and audio seemingly working fine. I'd identified this as a graphics issue, most likely coming from the user's machine choosing integrated graphics over an available graphics card (there's even a lengthy thread about it in the discussions), but because I hadn't been able to reproduce it so far I hadn't been able to attempt a proper fix for it. But now I managed to get some decent logs for it and a user who was happy to try out a custom build for me (Thanks Jake!), which lead me to a fix for at least one instance of the bug (it's possible the bug will still be present on AMD machines). The fix is somewhat simple: attempt to load an Nvidia API dll before the application window is created, and the OS will assume that the application needs dedicated graphics support, or at least that seems to be the mechanism. A very happy fix. :) v1.1.10 Full Changelog - Game will now attempt to load Nvidia API dll on startup to hint that dedicated graphics are required. If no dll is available, the game will continue as before. v1.1.9 - Changelog

Fix for a bug that has surprisingly been in the game since launch. The bug was that the particles for the player ship's forward thrusters weren't being wrapped when the exited one of the edges of the screen. This sounds like it wouldn't really be noticeable, and maybe it isn't because clearly I didn't notice it until now, but it was immediately obvious when I gave the game a little spin today. The bug happens because all of the particles are pooled depending on their size (small 1x1 pixels, medium 2x2 pixels, and large 3x3 pixels) and when a level starts the extraction ship comes in and fires a load of medium size particles (the same size as the player ship's forward thrusters), effectively going through the whole pool and touching each particle once. The trouble here is that because wrapping is disabled for the extraction ship, we disable it for its particles too, but we never re-enable it! It took a long time to track this down because when I run the game in my dev environment I have a setting that skips the extraction ship drop off to save me a little time, meaning the extraction ship wouldn't have processed the particles and I wouldn't see the bug. Because of this I thought the bug was only happening on the SteamDeck, so cue a lot of faffing uploading builds and checking logs to see what's going on. Anyway, easy fix and now I can sleep. :) I also added a little prompt to the main menu telling players about Terminal Reign and linking them to it. This can be ignored for those it might annoy. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do! https://store.steampowered.com/app/4677740/Terminal_Reign/ v1.1.9 Full Changelog - Fix for pooled particles not having their IsWrappingEnabled field reset when being initialised - Added main menu prompt for Terminal Reign

    v1.1.7 - Changelog

Small fix for a case where the audio implementation (BASS) fails to initialise because there isn't a valid audio device registered. Interestingly, this bug was reported by a player who is practically deaf and so doesn't have a proper audio device actually connected to their machine. v1.1.7 Full Changelog - Handling of audio failing to initialise when there's no valid audio device. Error will be handled and game will continue to run, just without audio. - When audio fails to initialise, a message will be logged to file and another displayed on the main menu informing the user of this. New Game Announcement I'll just slip this in there that yesterday (2026-09-02) I announced my next game, Terminal Reign. Go take a look! :) https://store.steampowered.com/app/4677740/Terminal_Reign/

    v1.1.4 - Changelog

A small update to solve some confusion around how players are supposed to disable mines when they're first introduced in the game. It's intended that players destroy mines to disable them when they're first introduced, and maybe attempt to deactivate them via the Activator tool but then realise that it won't work. This update adds an extra message after the initial "Bonuses are available for disabling active mines." message, hinting that the Activator won't work and that they'll need to physically destroy them. I've also finally fixed the bug where the "Code Breaker" achievement unlocks as soon as you get the military codes upgrade and not the first time you use it. Feedback and Reviews There have been quite a few new players recently, given the recent sales and events, so I wanted to say thank you and to please leave a review and feedback in the forums or Discord channel. It really does help. :) v1.1.4 Full Changelog - Additional message added on day 15 to hint that mines can't be deactivated and must be destroyed. - Fix for Code Breaker achievement unlocking too early.
