About this game
EXTERMINATE THE INFESTATION
Defest is a first person adventure horror game. In Defest, join with your friends to exterminate monster bugs and remove interdimensional rifts that are infesting the suburban town of Hive's End. This game is currently early access so although not perfected, we will continue to add features and updates when they are available. We are working to add additional enemies, biomes, objectives, and features to make gameplay more fun.
TEAM UP AND GEAR UP
Up to 6 players can team up and explore festering biomes, upgrade your gear for more efficient exterminations, extract loot for higher rewards.
Every mission keeps players moving forward as they unlock stronger tools, discover hidden areas, and keep the interdimensional threat at bay.
INTERDIMENTIONAL THREAT
Each playthrough has a unique and fresh experience. Get lost in procedurally generated environments with over 100,000 different combinations of levels to explore.

Update 1.0.1
Dev Comment: Thank you all for checking us out so far! This is the first update to Defest! From here on forward we will do our best to do weekly updates that build up into a bigger monthly update. We do our best to test if each build is stable and working correctly, but mistakes happen. If you find any issues with Defest please reach out and let us know! Update notes: Hud changes: Added ammo counter Added animations Changing inventory layout to be more comprehensive Changed scroll wheel behavior so it matches up more visually with the hud inventory Added functionality to where the center reticle will change depending on context. (turns into a hand when you can interact) Exterminator changes: We now spawn a ragdoll actor instead of keeping the whole exterminator pawn around. visually there shouldn't be any difference. but in the back end of things it makes it much more simple. You can now physics hold exterminator corpses and throw them around. This is a bit buggy on clients end. ProcGen changes: ProcGen now supports unique meshes for generation biomes. As of this update the assets are simple retextures. We are currently working on the art pass for these. BugAI changes: Reworked AIcontroller. Bugs now attack doors to escape their spawn rooms. Visuals: Reduced blood spill amount when damage is taken. Added particles to bug nest rooms. Updated muzzle-flash on weapons.Read full article on Community Announcements (GuiltyRegicide)
