In Statto Complete Basketball, you step into the role of a basketball world leader, making strategic decisions from on-court coaching to off-season management.

About this game

Statto Complete Basketball simulates basketball more completely than any other game, from American or European style professional leagues all the way down to high schools and juniors. From the makers of Aussie rules simulation Australian Football Coach, you'll dive into your own basketball world. Coach your favorite professional team to success in the playoffs, take a college team to the national tournament, or develop young players as you try to teach them the correct tactics to win the high school championship!

You'll enter a dynamic world centered completely around the sport of basketball. Owners with different personalities will buy and sell teams. Arena leases will expire. Superstars will be traded. Draft lotteries will be won or lost. Coaches will be hired and fired. To survive, you'll need to carefully construct your team and craft tactical plans based on real-life formations and strategies. Use analytics and advanced statistics to determine how to get the most out of your team, or leave it all to your assistants.

You have complete control of your world. Jump into an existing scenario based on several different pro, college, and high school leagues from around the world, or create your own leagues from any countries you'd like in only a few clicks. Want a five-tier pan-African league with promotion and relegation, or maybe you'd prefer to create a small six-team pro league over only a couple American states. The choices are yours. In which world will you cut the nets down?

Australian and European Leagues: the July development update

Another month of development of Statto Complete Basketball means it's time for another development update! A little later than hoped, but still happy to update you on the game's progress.Last month's update teased a new feature which wasn't quite ready to announce, and now it can be confirmed that the game's default database will contain a simulation of the top European competition! This brings the number of professional leagues in the game up to four, with the North American men/women's leagues, the Australia/New Zealand men's league, and the European men's league currently appearing in the game. The first simulation after implementation showed a number of North American players making their way over to Europe. Players from these leagues can also be drafted into the North American league if they are young enough. At the moment it is possible the game will ship with additional leagues but the focus is now on fully completing the game. This last month has brought a number of new and improved features and additions to the base game as well as the game nears its full feature build out. The match engine has been completed, but is still being calibrated. Additional awards have been implemented including monthly award winners, beyond the traditional end of season awards. Four additional states have been added to the high school database, making a total of 19 states represented from all over the United States, with a 20th and 21st in progress. The college transfer portal is up and running. Second round picks get contract offers and don't automatically sign with the team. Shot maps and analytics have been added to the simulation engine. High school custom leagues have been finalized. Owners often set pre-season expectations, unless they genuinely don't care. Additional draft lottery options have been implemented, including an anti-tank model being used in 2026. The game has also undergone additional graphics updates, so most screenshots are officially outdated. There's now a f...

High School Basketball Preview and June Development Update

Last month's development report featured the college game, so it's only fair to highlight high school basketball this month! Two new screenshots have been added showing two high school basketball gameplay features. The first demonstrates how the high school leagues work within the wider game world by showing the collegiate prospect report. Simulating the entirety of high school basketball in the United States might take a supercomputer, so this screenshot demonstrates how the game is modular. This current league is running with the top divisions in four different states in the western United States, including Oregon, but the top prospect from Oregon doesn't play in the top high school division. This simulates how some players will play at schools outside the top division. However, five of the top recruits visible in the screenshot play in active, simulated leagues, since their team and league is displayed instead of their city. Right now it's not possible to disable external recruits for college, but in the future a feature is planned if you only want to recruit from active high school leagues (and there are enough players in those leagues to fill out college rosters). The second demonstrates your junior varsity team. In order to bring some depth to team building, your high school team consists of inactive junior varsity players which you can promote to varsity through a tryout system. The high school transfer system hasn't been fully developed yet, but if you fail to promote a motivated young player to the varsity team, they may look elsewhere for playing time.At the moment, the game features 14 different high school leagues, all of which are based on the league structure of the highest class of high school basketball in a specific state. It's expected this number will rise before launch as well. There are no actual high schools in the game due to licensing reasons, but if your state is in the game and you're a high school basketball fan, you'll definitely recognize t...

College Basketball Preview in Statto Complete Basketball

In order to highlight just how complete your Statto Complete Basketball world can be, two new screenshots have just been added to the preview page showing highlights from the in-game college league!Statto Complete Basketball's default scenario includes over 360 college teams, 14 in-season tournaments, two post-season tournaments (with a third likely to be added) with the primary tournament featuring 72 teams, and tournaments for every conference, so there is a challenge for everyone. Try to build a dynasty or see if you can turn the worst team into a winner. The system is also very adaptable. For instance, tournament play-in games occur dynamically wherever the worst at-large teams would have made the bracket, and while the game currently defaults to single elimination for the tournaments, staggered tournament brackets can be defined for specific leagues if desired.Furthermore, with the vertically integrated recruiting system, players from your active high school leagues will be actively recruited by college teams, as your best college players will show up in the professional league top prospect reports. This works through a finely balanced player development system, where a player's environment will dictate how fast they develop, and whether they're able to meet their full potential as a player. This makes player development a viable tactical strategy in college and high school leagues. There's still a lot of work to do on the game as a whole, so keep an eye out on the game's development to hear about new features as they're officially introduced to the game! Also if you're interested in following updates, make sure to be one of the game's first followers on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61588678274572Thank you for your interest in Statto Complete Basketball!
