About this game

A dark forest is ahead of you.

It feels familiar, but you hesitate.

Only scraps and glimpses remain.

Step inside. Make a choice.

Remember your purpose... or remember what you were trying to forget.

Were you searching for something, or running from it?

The Twiwood Forest

Twiwood Tales is a rogue-like RPG with seductive tension, branching paths, and combat system that rewards planning, awareness, timing, and creativity. Whether you're here for the fight, the story, or something more intimate, the forest welcomes you.

A Dangerous Path

Each run offers new routes, risks, and rewards. Some will test your focus. Others, your patience. Every step takes you closer to your goal, but danger awaits at every fork. Build yourself for the journey, and make use of your defenses if you want to come out on top.

Twiwood Tales builds on classic turn-based JRPG combat, but with a twist: you can actively defend yourself... or choose not to. For some - timing is everything. For others, a strong body and a sturdy shield are more than enough.

Not Every weapon is Steel

Spells and steel will keep you alive, but seductive Techniques offer their own kind of power  and their own way of dealing with enemies. What you choose to do with your foes is entirely  up to you.

Many enemies rely on seductive Techniques, bending the flow of battle in ways you won’t always see coming.

Moments that Linger

Some encounters leave more than scars. Lingering flashes of animated memories, once lost,  may find their way into your hands. Perhaps they'll help you remember. Or offer a bright moment on a long, dark path.

We’ve pushed another hotfix addressing two issues with Church runs:Fixed an issue where dying in battle inside the Church could return players to Twiwood Forest, even when using Prayer Garden or Church Yard buttons, preventing unlocked Cinder Rite shortcuts from working correctly. The Church Update Is Live! v0.9

The Church is finally open! :} After months of development, our biggest Twiwood Tales update so far is now live. The update adds an entirely new dungeon, permanent progression, crafting and equipment upgrades, new characters and enemies, a new boss, new events and adult content, major combat changes, and a large rebalance of the existing game. A Fresh Start Is Recommended Existing saves still work. We have even tested saves from around 10 months ago. However, for the best experience with this update, we recommend starting a new game. A lot has changed throughout the earlier parts of Twiwood Tales as well. There is a new introduction, equipment has been redistributed and rebalanced, Lorrien is now introduced through progression, Foxy has a developing story tied to affection, and the overall difficulty curve works much better when experienced from the beginning. You can absolutely continue with an existing character, especially if you want to reach the Church quickly, but heavily levelled characters may find much of the Forest considerably easier than intended. The Church The Church now opens into an entirely new dungeon with its own progression and economy.Upon entering, your accumulated experience, gains, and sins (levels) are burned and converted into Sacrificial Ash. This becomes the base reward for your run, but cannot be spent immediately. Regular Dust also cannot be used inside the Church. Instead, you collect and spend Sacred Dust, which is converted back into normal Dust when your run ends.As you descend, you accumulate Blessings and Curses. Both increase your final Ash reward multiplier. Stronger Curses offer greater rewards. When you:complete the Churchdieor choose to return to the Forestyour Sacrificial Ash is multiplied by your final reward multiplier. The Ash you earn can then be spent on permanent upgrades through the Cinder Rite. Cinder Rite The Cinder Rite introduces permanent progression between Church runs.Current upgrades include:Permanent stat scali...
