About this game
Gameplay
In this demo you'll jump, slide, bounce, boost and bubble your way through dense forests and dreamscapes, searching for spirit drops to improve her abilities. The game offers fluid momentum-based platforming physics, which allow you to find your own creative ways to explore the landscape. If you're someone that enjoys secrets, there are plenty to be found...

Valerie's magic is all focused around bubbles - use the bubble-boost to propel yourself, and the bubble-gun to freeze enemies in a bubble. These bubbles will help you reach higher places. That way there's no need to hurt anybody, right?

Final(?) demo updates!
Hi all,Thanks to all 350 of you who have played the Steam demo and 950 who wishlisted the full game! My bug fixing and polishing thus far has been fueled by the kind comments both here, in the reviews, on the Discord, and in the feedback form, so thank you to those of you who used those. For now I've reached the point where I'll be leaving the demo as-is (besides fixing reported bugs), and I expect to just be working on the full game. I've provided a list of patch notes below, mostly aimed at fixing bugs, controller support, more intuitive controls, and visual changes. Nextfest patches
Hi everyone,Nextfest 2026 is almost over! The game has reached over 800 wishlists now, and I'm happy to have seen lots of constructive feedback both through the reviews, community hub and feedback form. I've tried to implement what I could during this week. Lots of these changes were very small, but these small things add up, especially as the game starts to scale up in size. One of the biggest changes has been improved controller support, with some proper Xbox glyphs in addition to Dualshock 2 and 3 support. My next big priority is getting it working on Steamdeck/Linux - it's proving to be just slightly more hassle than expected! Once that's done I'll look into MacOS, too.If it looks like your feedback hasn't been implemented yet, don't worry. I've seen and absorbed it all into my central nervous system. That's all for now!-JoleRead full article on Community Announcements (Jole)AnnouncementsOfficial
Ready for Nextfest 2026!
With Steam Nextfest starting tomorrow many developers will be bustling away to show their games in their best light, and Valerie is no different! A brand new demo is now available to play. The new version has had all its levels redesigned, a new script, a boss, a modified ending, and more. My hope is that it better reflects what I'm aiming for with the full game. One of the old demo's main issues was its linearity, which is something that can be done well, but for this game it didn't feel like the right way to play. Because it should be just that - playing! Letting the player explore areas in whichever direction their whim takes them is something I find quite fun with Valerie's abilities.Another issue was its story being crammed in the opening and ending, with none in the middle. This time I added shorter cutscenes throughout, which should hopefully help break up the pacing a little bit.You may also notice that it's had a small visual upgrade. I should thank Leonardo for this, since he's helped so much with various tooling and optimisations (and the fancy grass). I do love those bezier curves. It's been quite an intense few months trying to figure this all out and get it done, but I hope that it's been worth it. I don't often point out my socials, but if you're interested in this game consider follow me on Twitter (@Jole_says_hi) or Bluesky (@Jole-says-hi), since I post semi-regularly there.Thank you for your support!JoleRead full article on Community Announcements (Jole)
