About this game
Rivers of Astrum: Daughter of Darkness follows the story of Kimberly Ashmoore. Seeking to leave the only place that she has ever called home, Kim embarks on a mission, and gets swept up in a tide of destiny that no one could have predicted. This leaves her forever changed. Whether that change is for the better, or for the worse is for you to decide! (literally!)
Featuring meaningful choices, and dynamic relationships between the cast; the things you say and the actions you take will have impactful changes on the story, both obvious and subtle!
Rivers of Astrum: Daughter of Darkness boasts professionally hired and casted voice actors and actresses as well! (During Early Access, some characters may be unvoiced. Voices can all be muted, collectively or individually by character, for those that wish to play without them!)

Rivers of Astrum is a story that I've had in my head for 30 years. In that time it has been written, re-written and revised countless times, as it has evolved over the years. My three big passions are art, storytelling and creation in general. This is a passion project that I've been working on (in some form or another) for nearly 7 years.
Rivers of astrum is a long-paced story. It has ups and downs just like any other, but this story is intended (in it's final form) to encompass 6 volumes. "Daughter of Darkness" is volume 1 of the Rivers of Astrum Saga.
I am thoroughly interested in any and all feedback anyone may have, as I've received precious little of it. I also love to engage with the players, so please - if you have any concerns or questions at all - feel free to reach out!
It is worth noting that I have a standing agreement with the lead voice actress in the game. She voices NSFW scenes at her own discretion, and stops wherever she chooses. This does lead to some partially voiced NSFW scenes, but I personally feel like that's an infinitesimally small price to pay for the talent and immersion that she brings to the project!

An impending delay
Hey everyone! So, those of you in the discord will know by now, but for those of you who aren't, I recently ran the numbers on the current render times, and realized that this update was projected to take about 15 months at the current rate. Obviously, I had to do something about that. Long story, short: I changed the lighting to allow for faster rendering, while keeping the mood 100% intact. However, the new math now shows that this update is still looking like it'll be in the 7-8 month range, as opposed to my usual 4-6 ... but it's a far cry from 15, so i'll take it. All that said, I have a standing rule. I don't show a character nude, publicly, until she's been nude in the game. Version 0.3.4 is Live to the public!
Greetings everyone! Rivers of Astrum: Daughter of Darkness, version 0.3.4 is now officially live! A few things in store and a few known issues:Added 672 Renders, 9 Animations, and 11,494 words. Continuing the story. Character and Gallery screens have been adjusted, to fit new additions.STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS: Should be correctly being applied now. Though it will undoubtedly require a new save file to trigger them. I'd greatly appreciate knowing whether or not they're finally working for others!Replay Gallery expanded to include new scenes.I recently became aware that Kiara's opening scene was overlooked for addition to the Replay Gallery. It will make its way there in version 0.3.6. Hetero event at the "Queensguard Rest Stop" scene has now been gated behind a decision, for players with hetero content enabled. This was done to prevent the possibility of going the lesbian route in Kiara's introduction scene, yet being forced down the hetero route in the rest stop scene, afterwards. That was unintended behavior. There is a known issue at the moment, where it won't actually present the choice, and Colt will still get slightly flirtatious with Kiara, but doesn't go into the rest of the scene. It will be corrected in 0.3.6.Several renders added to the Tunnels scene, prior to the team entering, to visually display that scene more clearly. Several renders updated in the Barrel scene, to correct previous visual mistakes. Exhibitionism filter added in preparation for future content."Straight Content" filter renamed to "Heterosexual Content" filter, for easier readability.As always, I cannot wait for everyone to continue the story, and see where it's heading!Please stop by the discord and share your thoughts.
