About this game

Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It! is a slap-and-solve adventure that stretches your wits and your noodly arms to their max. It's a big sandbox of secrets that combines slapstick humor and hilarious puzzles that will keep you thinking and laughing at the same time. Based on the hit "Floor Plan" series - previously for VR, now reimagined with updated puzzles and new mechanics for its PC debut!

Our world is broken...but at Puzzl, we're putting it back together piece by piece - better than before! Join our team of PuzzPals and help us solve the world's problems with a personal touch. But first, our CEO needs some help with a very important mission. You're not afraid of heights, right?

You see that mountain? You can slap it. Well, you could if this game had mountains. Everything within reach of your stretchy arms is satisfyingly interactive and responsive to your touch with animation, sound, and haptics. Every background detail is intentional and worthy of your attention - so explore and slap everything, because you never know what might happen. Maybe we’ll add mountains.

Lean on the skills you’ve learned from point-and-clicks to SLAP-AND-SOLVE. Use your elevator to travel between floors, gather items in your fanny pack, and make logical leaps as you unravel how every floor and their inhabitants are connected. And if you get stuck, keep on slapping or ask the operator for some intel to help you along.

A "Floor Plan" Adventure

Slap Out Of It! is inspired and adapted from "Floor Plan," the hit VR escape game series. It has been dramatically expanded with all-new gameplay and secrets to discover, and meticulously redesigned from the ground up for keyboard and controller. Please note that this is not a VR game and does not have any VR support.

Features

  • A comedy sandbox with puzzles and surprises hidden behind every slap

  • Think with your hands to solve and progress through interconnected escape rooms

  • Embrace cartoon logic as you explore, touch, and smack everything in sight

  • Meet a huge cast of bizarre characters, and solve (or become) their problems

  • Wait, is that Ben Starr?

  • 6-10 handcrafted hours of gloriously stupid jokes and memorable “aha” moments

  • A Floor Plan adventure - inspired and adapted from the hit VR escape game series, now with 100% less VR

A new name: Slap Out Of It! is now Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It!

A new nameHey everybody! Today we're officially updating the name of our game from "Slap Out Of It!" to "Floor Plan: Slap Out Of It!" You'll see these changes reflected across our Steam page now, and in other places soon. Why are we making this change? Why didn't we have Floor Plan in the name from the beginning? Read on for all those answers and more.Naming is hardWhen coming up with a name for this game, we were trying to solve a few challenges. The previous Floor Plan games weren't available on PC / console, and we didn't want PC / console players to feel like they needed to play the other games first, so we decided pretty early on that we wouldn't be numbering it like a sequel. The Floor Plan games are very different from each other, and don't have story continuity. We even almost called Floor Plan 2 something else back in 2021 because it was so different from Floor Plan!We went back and forth a lot on including "Floor Plan" in the name at all, because the identity of this new game is about slapping moreso than elevators. We were also concerned that new players searching for the game would assume the series was still only available in VR if we kept Floor Plan in the name because Floor Plan search results are overwhelmingly VR-centric. Lastly, we didn't want people to think this was "just" a port of Floor Plan 2, when it's so much more than that - we're building lots of new gameplay for this, and we genuinely think that Floor Plan 2 VR fans will have reasons to play this one too even though they share puzzles and environments. We called the game "Project Slap" during development, and came up with over 100 name candidates. Ultimately, "Slap Out Of It" won the polling among our team as well as our friends and family. What happenedWe announced around Summer Game Fest in June, and our hands-on demos with press went extremely well. Most people there were unfamiliar with our VR games, and that's OK - we wanted this to feel good on its own merits with a new audience, rathe...

    Introducing Slap Out Of It!

Hi everybody! We're Turbo Button, and we're excited to announce our new game: Slap Out Of It!Slap Out Of It! is a slap-and-solve adventure game that combines a slapstick comedy sandbox with the silly lateral thinking puzzles of classic point-and-clicks. We just revealed it in the Day of the Devs showcase at Summer Game Fest. Here's the trailer, narrated by your favorite video game Ben, Ben Starr:InspirationOur team took inspiration from a lot of different games and media when building Slap Out Of It! The initial concept was inspired by character-driven classic point-and-click adventure games such as Monkey Island, Sam & Max, and Grim Fandango, but with a greater emphasis on animation than dialogue. The comedy sandbox side uses a mix of wordplay, visual puns, and slapstick with inspirations ranging from games like Untitled Goose Game, Jazzpunk, and Thank Goodness You’re Here to spoof comedy shows or movies like Police Squad, Popstar, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. We're not using generative AI anywhere in our development process - so when you see something dumb in our game, you can be confident that it took days of work from real humans spending lots of effort to make it dumb as humanly possible. That's a form of comedy in itself, and we wouldn't have it any other way.Who is Turbo Button? Our studio is known for our VR games - we've been making them since 2015 - but this is our first time stepping away from VR entirely, so it’s the first time a lot of you are seeing us! We’re a tiny indie team that develops comedy games that make you think and laugh at the same time.Slap Out Of It! builds on our past work, and is adapted from and inspired by our most popular VR game series. It's got all new mechanics and tons of new surprises, so even fans who played our VR games will have plenty to discover here too. It will be coming to PC and console platforms in 2027. And yes, it'll work great on Steam Deck too,Thank You!Whether you've been playing our games for the past decad...
