About this game

Before You Attend

✅You Should Attend Agefield High If...

  • You're looking for a raunchy coming-of-age comedy.

Imagine an edgy teen movie from the early 2000s that isn't afraid of humor that some people may consider outdated.

  • You enjoy smaller open worlds with personality.

Agefield is a handcrafted indie town. It isn't trying to compete with the enormous worlds built by big studios.

  • You appreciate simple, old-school gameplay.

Combat is intentionally straightforward. No fifty-button combo system required.

  • You miss the early 2000s.

If references to the music, movies, fashion, and culture of that era make you smile, you'll probably feel right at home.

  • You like what you've already seen.

Everything you've watched was captured directly from gameplay, so what you see is what you'll be playing.

❌You Should Probably Skip Agefield High If...

  • You don't enjoy edgy or raunchy humor.

This school has plenty of it. Some would call it “outdated” or “a bit offensive.” Our guidance counselor Ms. Wallace just calls it Tuesday.

  • You're expecting a massive AAA open world.

Agefield High is proudly indie. It's a smaller world with plenty of detail, but it isn't designed to compete with the biggest open-world games out there.

  • You're looking for a deep RPG.

You play as Sam and can change his outfits, hairstyle, and even get tattoos. You can attend class or skip it, and when prom finally arrives, you'll have an important choice to make. But this isn't a role-playing game.

  • You're hoping for multiplayer.

I'm afraid every student is on their own. Agefield High is a single-player experience from beginning to end.

  • You're expecting a giant sandbox with hundreds of activities.

The main story lasts roughly 10 hours. Outside of classes and story missions, there's plenty to do, but it's still an indie game, not an endless life simulator.

About the Game

Relive your High School days in the town of Agefield. It’s the early 2000s, and graduation is on the horizon. REBEL with your friends, win over your dream girl and ROCK the school! A coming-of-age adventure about friendship, love, and rebellion inspired by the raunchy teen comedies of the era.

COMPLEX TIME AND SCHOOL SYSTEM

Attend Agefield High School as new student Sam. Help your new friends, Kale and Axel, pull off their “Rock the School” plan and leave your mark as a legend! But... there's a time and school system which means you have to be in class until the afternoon on weekdays! But you know what? Cool kids skip class and do whatever they want.

GET BACK TO THE EARLY 2000s

Besides going to class and playing main missions, the small open world of Agefield is free to explore! Featuring the Agefield high school campus, two neighborhoods, the town center and the countryside. Earn some pocket money by getting good grades or skip class and earn cash by doing side missions. You can buy things like clothes, bikes and more. But keep an eye out for teachers and the cops if you break the law!

THE 'ROCK THE SCHOOL' PLAN

Just when Sam was about to graduate from high school, his parents decided to move to a small town called Agefield. On Sam’s first day at Agefield High, he meets Kale. Kale has a plan to ROCK the last few months at school because he wants to leave his mark as a LEGEND. He enlisted the help of Axel, a self proclaimed Rockstar, now it’s time to execute the plan. But they need one more to be onboard. Kale believes Sam is exactly the right person for the job.
So you in, dude?

    New Update Is Out!

Dear Students,The new update focuses on fixing crashes that affected players on lower-end devices. This includes startup issues, crashes at the tattoo shop on Steam Deck, and crashes during cutscenes. Please note, students, every machine is different. If you are still experiencing crashes, please let us know where they happen and include your PC specs. We will continue investigating these issues and help where we can! The janitor has already checked the school computers twice, but unfortunately, hitting them with a wrench did not solve the problem. If you're playing on a lower-end machine and still experiencing crashes, it may help to add the following command to your launch options:Go to your Steam Library and right-click Agefield High: Rock the SchoolClick Properties...Add -d3d11 to the Launch Options fieldThank you for all your feedback and for helping us improve Agefield High as much as we can as a small indie team. Much appreciated!Your favorite faculty member,Principal CarpenterPrevious Update Notes: Dear Students,Seems like those first day of school nerves got the best of all of us, and we forgot to make sure that the cafeteria was stocked with enough snack cakes and energy drinks for you all! We only have a few members of the faculty on hand, and we are doing our best to make the rest of this semester as smooth and fun for everyone as quickly as possible. We had a sleepless night and prepared an update for you, making the music minigames easier to pass and fixing lots of smaller issues you mentioned. Agefield High Opens Its Doors! Principal Carpenter Welcomes the First Students

Dear students, parents, and everyone eagerly waiting for Agefield High to open its doors, I am incredibly proud to announce that today is finally the day! While the Janitor was busy fixing a few remaining leaks in the roof, and my desk was buried under dozens of empty coffee cups and thousands of complaints from concerned parents, I can finally cut the ceremonial ribbon and welcome you all inside.But... students... Please be gentle with the walls. The paint is still fresh. And remember... At this school, the students are known for having a rather loud and occasionally questionable sense of confidence. If you are still unsure whether you should submit your application, I kindly ask you to read through the “FAQ” in the General Discussions. https://steamcommunity.com/app/3562580/discussions/0/590686595450962284/For everyone else, feel free to submit your application fee and officially join Agefield High! However, please remember that attendance is mandatory at Agefield High. And if you happen to miss a day, well... I may have to give your parents a little call. Looking forward to seeing you at Agefield High.Your favorite faculty member, Principal Carpenter

Who Should Attend Agefield High? - A Letter From Principal Carpenter

Dear Future Students, I have some wonderful news. Agefield High will finally open its doors very soon and are going to welcome nearly 300,000 applications.Three hundred thousand.I had the janitor count the applications twice because I assumed someone had misplaced a decimal point. At this rate, our hallways are going to be so crowded that I'll have to start issuing hallway passes for the hallway passes. Now, before the first bell rings, I feel it's my duty as principal to make one thing clear. Some of you may be expecting Agefield High to be a gigantic campus built by an army of developers with an unlimited budget and enough coffee to power a small country. In reality, it was built by a very small group of developers who poured everything they had into making the kind of game they wanted to play. That means plenty of heart, plenty of personality... and, naturally, a few limitations that come with being an indie project. So before you submit your application and show up to first period English, I'd like you to read this little checklist. You Should Attend Agefield High If...You're looking for a raunchy coming-of-age comedy.Imagine an edgy teen movie from the early 2000s that somehow escaped detention and became a video game. That's Agefield High. The story takes around 10 hours to complete and isn't afraid of immature jokes, awkward situations, or humor that some people may consider a little outdated. You enjoy smaller open worlds with personality.Agefield is a handcrafted indie town. It's detailed, fun to explore, and full of things to discover. It isn't trying to compete with the enormous worlds built by studios hundreds of people strong. You appreciate simple, old-school gameplay.Combat is intentionally straightforward. No fifty-button combo system required. There are also several bicycle types, including BMX bikes for tricks, country bikes for off-roading in the woods behind the school, and racing bikes built for speed. You miss the early 2000s.If references to the music...
