About the Game
Hop on this laid-back Space Simulation adventure as a lost Scavenger of a different star sector, who gitched into the Syntar system, you discover unusual phenomenon and learn about the Syntarians, a brilliant, now-extinct species of the Syntar system, all while seeking a way back to your home world.
The Scavenger's Ship: Every build is a puzzle!
The ship builder allows you to install crafted parts on the ship core. Buildable resources can be used to craft ship parts. Functional parts require Power Nodes which is a resource earned via quests and exploration. Save multiple ship designs and swap builds as needed. As you progress through the game, your ship core's Tier will be leveled up to Tier 2 and Tier 3.

Fight pirates, acidic slugmites, and rogue droids OR Flee to protect your ship's core!
Manage your ship's integrity, internal pressure in an intense space combat. Each part on your ship has its own Armor points, Leak threshold and overall Hull point (Hp) which affect ship's combat capabilities and overall functionality. Use repair kits to rebuild the blueprint quickly in midair. Unlock high-tier railguns, shields, and turrets for better survivability.
Pressure serves as a ship-wide life support system that is depleted by leaks or consumed to activate specific abilities. If Pressure reaches 0, it results in the death of the player or NPC ship.

Serve the station. Earn its power!
Every station has 3 expansion stages; each stage is reached progressively by completing jobs at the Space Lounge. When a stage is reached, the station grows and grants the player one Power Node as a reward. Power Nodes are then used in ship building to unlock functional powered ship parts like shields, turrets, boosters, etc
A bot at your service!
Echo-19 is a unique drone companion that will follow your ship and help you gather resources, lend a Lazor hand in combat or lighten the mood with slight humor as you wander the sectors of the Syntar System.

v0.L10 patch notes and sales spike news
Greeting everyone, we have made several fixes and improvements in this update:Nerfed railgun reload timer; previously, it was being exploited by auto clickers.Fixed a quest softlock and a freeze when jumping between sectors or reloading.Fixed abandoned station quests soft lock, now such quests can be accepted again.Added sounds for station quests and station growth.Unity Engine updated to v6.6 and plugins updated.Fixed several crashes and exceptions reported by Unity diagnostic.Note that save might affected by this update possible lost of item or complete reset. For the first time ever, sales have spiked along with all time high player count at a time. All thanks to a video by Splattercatgaming! In just 2 days, the game generated $2,500 in gross revenue, which is incredible compared to the roughly $300 in entire month before this. Thank you so much, Splat and everyone, for the amazing support and motivation. I'm really excited to jump into the next major update as soon as I can and address all the issues and feedback I gather, as well as QOL. Second Major update - Leaks In Space v0.L
Hello scavengers! Here are highlights of what you can expect in this Major Update:Station Objective OverhaulThe station objective \ which was more of a temporary solution anyway, used to be dull panels, with text slots listing whatever jobs the station had open. Now interactive Space Lounge scene appears where player can pick up a job by talking to characters present there. The depth in this space lounge scene comes from four stacked art layers, the background, balcony, bar, and front table. Each one is a separate set of sprites with a parallax factor setup. It reads the mouse relative position to pan scene left or right with varied speeds individually, to feel things far or near.Damage Type SystemDamage is no longer a single value, by default that's Kinetic. there are also Heat and Acid that deal damage over time. Heat spreads to neighboring parts or dissipates, but begins dealing damage once it crosses a specific threshold. For example, a RdcDroid beam deals Heat damage, while a single RdcDroid may not do much, a swarm can kill you instantly. Acid stacks per part and eats hull over time, that's the slugmite spit. Ship Physics ReworkedThe old setup was hold to move, release to stop, stiff and locked to the camera center. Now the ship is a free-floating physics object, every input applies real force, and momentum carries you. The camera got a look-ahead system, it leads based on your input and velocity instead of fixed center follow, and it reacts to mouse position too. The nebula got star streaks that flow with your motion, so speed actually reads visually. Bullets shove things around now, and the feature I wanted most: slam into something at high velocity and both of you take damage. Velocity is a weapon and a risk. Change Logs: - Improved movement system with ship velocity and mouse offsets. - Free-floating physics calculations for a ship with force-based input - Velocity-based collision damage, both ship and object take damage - Bullet knockback and impact force...Read full article on Community Announcements (BlairBerry)AnnouncementsOfficial
Ship Controls and Physics | Devlog #4
Hey everyone! I am back again with cool stuff to share before next major update kicks off! Ship and Camera Movement OverhaulI've been tinkering with the ship's movement lately and finally got it to a point I'm happy with. The old setup felt like flying a sprite glued to the center of camera, and the movement was too stiff to feel like it was actually in space. so I reworked both the ship's movement and the camera follow. The ship is now a free floating physics object. I ripped out the old manual drag calculation. Input is applied along the ship's local axes and tapers off as it reaches max speed. Every input now applies force, and the ship maintains momentum, rather than the previous "hold-to-move and release-to-stop" mechanic.Bullets give the ship knockback based on their mass and speed while impacts shove the target at the contact point. Additionally, Collisions deal damage based on velocity, that is when the ship hits an object at high speed, both the ship and the object take damage. On the camera side, I kept the old fixed position follow and added two offsets: one pulls the view ahead along the ship's velocity and the other drifts toward the mouse or gamepad look input. Together they give a lot more sense of speed and make the whole thing feel less reactive. Nebula Star StreakingThe nebula shader has 3 tileable nebula layers and 6 star layers for depth, but the stars were plain dots. Stretching the UVs thinned them out, and re-sampling stars along a motion trail was too expensive, plus the dots visibly separated at speed and broke the effect. I switched to procedural generation with motion-aligned streaks, so stars stretch in the direction of travel without losing density or falling apart, and the shader stays cheap.Still messing with the weights and the camera pull, and next I want to refine the damage model and add more visual feedback on impacts. Thanks for reading, hope you all have a great day! :DRead full article on Community Announcements (FrostechGameStudio)
