For your sins in life you are condemned to an eternity of torture in the 5th circle of hell, but all is not as it seems. Sinners walk free across the fiery landscape committing acts of violence in the name of the Arch angel. Many have come to accept this new way of being and others seek to rip it down while you just want to get out and will kill anyone standing between you and that goal.
Sinweaver is a combat focused metroidvania that offers lovingly hand crafted levels, tied together with a secret packed overworld. Delve into time forgotten angelic ruins, writhing bestial caves and Fortresses dedicated to the fallen Arch angel.
Through slaughter you gain power. Level up with powerful upgrades and exciting new abilities scattered across the world.
Call upon and channel the raw power of Sin and unleash devastating magic to press your advantage in combat.
Carve your path through brutal combat encounters and challenging platforming trials to uncover the dark origins of this infernal place and understand how Hell became so twisted.

What is Sinweaver and why should I care?First of all thank you for taking the time to look at and take interest in our project, it really means a lot to us!We wanted to make our first steam post something that’ll age well and serves as a summary for the game. In the future these updates will likely be developer logs and a “what cool stuff is around the corner” style announcement.But we’ll get right into it!What is Sinweaver?Sinweaver is a 2d action Metroidvania that has you cutting your way through the denizens of hell as you try to find a way of escaping this twisted afterlife. The game uses an overworld to separate levels but still allows for the normal backtracking that has come to define the genre.You as the player will unlock new pathways on the overworld as you explore and interact with the world and characters that populate the Circle of Wrath. Allowing for you to find secrets, forgotten knowledge and legendary boons of power that will let you crush your enemies!The game will have challenging moments and will require you to use all the tools at your disposal whether that’s parrying enemies blows to charge your Fury abilities or empowering yourself by stealing enemies sins to restore your lost health. There’s a lot of mechanics and collectibles on offer in our game and we’re excited to show you more as the months go on! What makes it special?The overworld has come to define a lot about this project and really sets Sinweaver apart from other games like Last Faith, Hollow knight and Nine sols. This overworld basically means that you never got horribly lost as you always have a area to return to regain your bearings and you’ll always know where to go next as we break our game world down into a series of large levels, side levels and challenges. The large levels function as mini Metroidvania in of themselves where some will require for you to explore past area in that same level/ area to progress.
