About this game
Convergence point is a thrilling top-down 2D rogue-like where you play as a stealthy, shape-shifting alien fragment. Your mission is to escape a high-security lab by possessing unsuspecting human hosts and using their bodies as temporary tools for survival. As you navigate through procedurally-generated levels, you'll need to jump from body to body, avoiding capture and outsmarting increasingly dangerous enemies. In your vulnerable goo state, you're an easy target—blend in, strike quickly, and stay hidden to master the art of possession and become the ultimate predator in a world that wants you squished.

Nothing Stays The Same
The game’s procedurally-generated levels and evolving challenges create a fresh experience every time you play, keeping the tension high as you race against time and resource management. Players must carefully plan their movements, sneak through vents, avoid detection, and possess enemies to use their abilities. Whether it's solving puzzles or defeating enemies, the key to success lies in mastering the art of body-hopping while staying one step ahead of increasingly dangerous foes.

Your key survival tool is the ability to possess human hosts, using their bodies to infiltrate deeper into the lab. However, your hosts are temporary—each one decays rapidly, forcing you to constantly move and find new targets.

The First Public Playtest Is Live!
Hey everyone, We just pushed the first public playtest build of Convergence Point — and you can try it out right now. This build includes: 2 levels 1 boss room Full support for keyboard/mouse and controllers Movement: WASD or left joystick possession: spacebar or Left trigger (L2) attacks: keyboard (I, O, P) or Controller (square, x and right trigger (R2) It’s still super early — there are bugs, rough edges, and probably a few crashes. But we’re really excited (and yeah, a little nervous) to finally let people see what we’ve been working on. This is just the beginning. We’ve got more updates, improvements, and new content on the way. But for now, we’d love it if you gave the build a shot and told us what you think. There’s a feedback form on the main menu — please use it to share your thoughts, report bugs, or just let us know what worked (or didn’t). If the game crashes, you’ll be prompted to send a report — those are super helpful too. If you want to stay in the loop or have questions, come join the community on Discord. Convergence Point: Play Test Coming Soon
Hello everyone, We are preparing for the first ever open playtest for convergence point, right now the play test que is open for requests but at this point the build is still buggy and crashes once in a while. Once we have a stable build we will let everyone in to check out the game. Keeping this in mind if you are one of the few people i let in already, you can find the controls bellow Movement - WASD - Left joystick Possession (Body Hopping) - Space Bar - Left trigger (L2) attacks - I, O - X, square special (Area of effect) - P - Right trigger (R2) use Shift + tab to open the steam overlay and close the game at anytime. if the game crashes use the task manager to end task on the game.
