About this game

Legacy of the Fallen is a CRPG fantasy game where the player hunts down Perseus, Poseidon and others in order to recover their most prized posession, the legendary Fragarach.  The game features many romancable characters throughout the game as well as turn-based combat, animations and a great story rich in various mythologies from around the world.

Story

The world around you is shattered, and betrayal runs in your blood. Your Aunt Medusa? Slain by the so-called hero Perseus, her soul imprisoned by your own grandmother, Athena—a goddess with secrets darker than the abyss. Your other aunts, Stheno and Euryale, were pawns in a centuries-long war, twisted and exploited by the seductive succubus Queen Igret in her vendetta against the Olympians. Even your parents are tainted—one of your parents, Ceraphina is a fallen Olympian, rejected by her kin.

Raised as a guardian, you were forged in the fires of family loyalty, trained from childhood to shield those you hold dear. Your mother vanished when you were young, leaving behind a single relic: The Fragarach, a brutal hammer of the ancient North, thrumming with untamed power. It’s all you have of her—and it’s yours by right.

But fate doesn’t care about rights. When your aunts leave you to chase a desperate quest to free Medusa’s soul, a shadowy intruder strikes. They rip Fragarach from your hands, leaving you more than half dead with nothing but rage and a burning vow. Now, you’ll carve a path through gods, monsters, and demons—across blood-soaked battlefields and the ruins of divine lies—to reclaim what’s yours. The cost? Everything. The reward? Vengeance, redemption for a legacy thousands of years in the making.

Gameplay

Romance:

Legacy of the Fallen features numerous romancable characters with few limitations. You are able to explore and build these relationships as you travel the globe.

Combat:

This game features an exciting turn-based combat system.  You are able to level up yourself, your skills and gain affinities as well as your party members.  You are also able to fully customize your character's class and abilities including multi-classing.

In addition to classes, the main character can select from three energy "affinities": Chaos, Heavenfire and Lust. These affinities add special moves and bonuses on top of your class.

Chaos:

Chaos Energy is typically associated with demons although several powerful gods and succubi have been known to be able to use this energy. It is associated with pain, suffering and loss.

Heavenfire:

Heavenfire is the energy of the gods. It is the power from hope and faith.

Lust:

Lust energy is associated with love, empathy and, well, lust. The succubus race is well known for having an affinity to lust energy although there are a few unique gods that have lust affinities.

Characters/Party Members

Chrys (the MC):

You are able to chose from either a male or female version of Chrys.  Chrys is the son/daughter of the Olypian Ceraphina and the Gorgon Euryale.  Don't ask how that works. Reproduction among gods is mysterious.

Ceraphina:

Your mother and who raised you.  She's the daughter of Athena but never knew her. She was came to the mortal plan and fell in love with the Gorgon Euryale who she helped to rescue her sister Stheno and defeat the Succubus Queen Igret bat Mahlat.

Pegasus:

Not much is known about Pegasus’ origins. She’s clearly a goddess, but you wonder who her parents are. She’s not great with people, growing up mostly alone, but you can tell there is more to her story.

Future planned characters:

  • Callirhoe (Greek Oceanid)

  • Lakapati (Filipino goddess of fertility)

  • Macha (Irish goddess of war)

  • Hina (Maori diety)

    Hotfix 0.4.10

0.4.10 Fixes With the Extra Outfits DLC installed, 0.4.9 crashed at startup ("unexpected keyword argument 'combat_image_low_futa'"). The game now loads with any version of the DLC.

    Patch 0.4.9

Legacy of the Fallen 0.4.9 — changes since 0.4.7 Credits The About screen was blank; it now credits Scott Buckley, whose music the game has always used under CC BY 4.0, with a link to his site, and carries the "Built with MiniMax-Music3" line that model's licence requires. Crafting shrines Clear Slot at a shrine no longer crashes the game. A failed infusion (wrong items, or a weapon that already carries a permanent enchantment) keeps your weapon and material in the slots instead of destroying them; the ship-repair and sail/hull shrines now say why a combination failed instead of silently doing nothing. Combat Black Hole, the tri-affinity capstone, now has its icon in the action bar — it had been showing blank. Party Kallirhoe rejoins as a level-1 Paladin rather than with no class at all, matching Pegasus (Sorcerer 1) and Nashoba (Rogue 1). Saves that already recruited her get the class on load. Igret's Forgetting keeps the free affinity classes (Succubus, Darklord, Holy Knight) at level 1 instead of erasing them — they never cost a level, so you no longer buy them back with one. Story & art Futa Chrys sees the female CG wherever the male one showed his body (Kallir carried, first kiss, healing scenes; Cera's intimacy; the first Evelyn scene, which showed nothing at all). Fixed "sex wit you" in Cera's brothel line. Saves Named saves: the name sits above the timestamp instead of on top of it, and naming a save no longer leaves a stray file in your saves folder. Character sheet The portrait is boxed so wide outfit art can't push the layout off screen. Fishing Fish weights scaled down so the biggest catch feeds a full party on Hard rather than several times over.

    Patch 0.4.6

Patch 0.4.6 Fixed wardrobe previews showing the wrong character — browsing one character's outfits could display another character's art. Fixed outfit vendors selling duplicate copies of the same outfit when a mod and the base game both stocked it (the Extra Outfits DLC was the usual trigger). Fixed missing blush expressions in outfit pose scenes for characters whose sprites use translated emote names.

    Patch 0.4.5

Patch 0.4.5 Fixed saves failing to load with a "No module named items.ingredients" or "Can't get attribute LightningBolt" error. Saves made on newer builds (Patreon/beta) store items, spells and abilities this branch didn't know about; the game now recognizes all of them, and those saves open normally. Ceraphina's combat sprites are no longer stretched.
