About this game

Funorbit is a physics-based pixel art space survival simulation where you navigate a vast, procedurally generated universe using realistic orbital mechanics. Master acceleration, deceleration, and gravitational forces to explore planets, moons, and drifting meteoroids, each with unique motion and spin. Collide with meteoroids to break them into pieces, evade cosmic dangers, and use your HUD to track real-time speed, distances, and directions as you travel through deep space.

Gather resources from asteroids, moons, and wreckage to craft essential equipment, repair your ship, and build structures that aid in survival. Construct space stations, upgrade your shuttle, and manage your supplies as you adapt to the ever changing challenges of space. With immersive physics, dynamic encounters, and a deep crafting system, Funorbit is a test of skill, strategy, and survival in the infinite cosmos.

v0.10.0 Beta – The Furnace Update

A new Furnace that smelts two batches at once, chopping young trees, faster iron mining, wolves that must actually touch you to hurt you, and over 20 fixes.Features Young trees can now be chopped down with an axe before they're fully grown, though they give less wood than a mature tree. Added a craftable Furnace that can melt down two batches of ore at once, and glows like a bonfire while it's working. ChangesBooster and Main Booster now show up in the Vehicles crafting tab.Planted trees now grow a bit faster. You can now go to sleep from 8:30 PM. If you try earlier, the message tells you when to come back. The story now asks you to find the crater before it asks you to build a bonfire. The bonfire task only shows up on the night after you find the crater.Sitting by the bonfire only counts toward its mission at night (before 4 AM), not during the day.Wolves now hurt you by actually touching you, instead of a timed attack you could dodge by jumping.Rocks now break faster and give more iron per rock, so mining iron is quicker. This is now easier on Easy and harder on Hard, matching the new Normal setting. Bug Fixes Fixed typing "b" in the crafting search box opening your backpack instead of typing the letter.Fixed a dialog popping up while jumping on a planet making you drift sideways oddly instead of just continuing to fall normally. Fixed a crash when sleeping or opening a story scene after a bear died. Boosters now show their name and description correctly in every language. Fixed the background scenery, and the grass right below it, suddenly popping and resetting when you crossed one particular spot on a planet. Fixed clicking an inventory item sometimes dragging it a tiny bit instead of moving it to your backpack or hand. Fixed the sky sometimes looking too bright or changing all of a sudden when it started raining right as day was turning to night (or back). Fixed the ground brightening or darkening faster than the sky during day/night transitions, and made the gr...

v0.9.0 Beta - New Rocket Controls, Replaceable Boosters & Bug Fixes

FeaturesYour rocket now shows a little fuel bar floating above it, so you can check how much fuel it has left without climbing in. Lost a booster? You can now craft a new one and bring it to your parked rocket to fix it right up! ChangesMoved Booster and Main Booster to the Vehicles crafting tab. New rocket controls: A/D to turn, W/S to speed the engine up or down, and Space to switch the engine on or off. The engine starts instantly now, no more waiting around! Made the rocket's engine sound a bit quieter. The "Hold X to stabilize" tip now only pops up if you've been spinning out of control for a little while, instead of right away. Made the rocket, radar, and status screens smaller and tidier. Bug FixesAdded missing booster names and descriptions in all supported languages. Fixed the first-night warning interrupting the lab-exit dialog and leaving the player stuck. Kept shuttles centered between service tower supports, including without boosters. Boosters you drop from your rocket now explode when they crash into the ground, like they're supposed to. Fixed the stabilize tip not showing up correctly in other languages. Explosions now sound quieter the farther away you are, instead of always being super loud. Fixed the little rocket map disappearing when you looked inside the shuttle. Fixed the rocket engine sound not stopping properly after you hopped out. Fixed extra fuel vanishing for no reason if you'd ever dropped a booster. Fixed the rocket's flames showing up in the wrong spot or staying lit when they shouldn't. Fixed the clock covering up the crafting menu. Fixed fuel canisters disappearing even when your rocket was already full. Fixed items looking like they were floating in the air near the launch tower. Fixed a couple of rare crashes that could happen in unusual situations.

v0.8.0 beta - Planet Station, Rover Headlights, Lab Story Expansion & Fixes

Features Added Planet Station as a buildable, inert surface structure with no lab requirements. ChangesExtended backward aiming while running to the flashlight.Aiming the gun or flashlight now transitions smoothly and rapidly. The aiming tutorial now explains aiming with the gun or flashlight.Hostile animals now linger in their death pose for a couple seconds and flicker before disappearing, instead of fading out immediately.Opened chests can no longer be reopened; they flicker and disappear permanently instead of remaining in the world. The rover's headlight is now a directional cone light that follows its facing direction, instead of a plain radial glow. The rover's headlight now flickers and turns off when it runs out of fuel, and turns back on once refueled.Expanded the Story mode narrative and mission flow around restoring the lab.In Story mode, restoring the lab is now only available once the mission asks for it.Improved the crafting panel's Pre requisites section. The lab's story-mode reveal now plays through its computer instead of automatically on entering the room, and the computer's own dialog updates afterward.Trying to enter the lab while it's restoring now shows a short message instead of silently doing nothing. Bug FixesFixed interrupting a story-mode dialog while running leaving the running animation looping in place instead of settling into idle. Fixed the watch sometimes appearing behind the minimap instead of above it. Fixed the "Restore Lab" panel rendering larger than the crafting panel at wider resolutions. Fixed cave lighting illuminating the Earth surface background. Fixed hard edges appearing in cave graphics. Fixed Earth ambience not starting during the first dialogs after leaving the lab.
