  A New Playtest Is Coming!

  Hey guys! We’ve been quiet for a little while, but we haven’t been sitting idle.Over the past few months, we’ve been working on improving Charlatan’s core experience, refining what’s already there and experimenting with plenty of new ideas along the way.A New Playtest Is ComingAnd now, we’re getting ready to show you what we’ve been working on:A new version of Charlatan will be available for playtesting soon, and starting today, we’re opening applications for the next round of playtests! If you’d like to get an early look at the latest build and help us shape the game with your feedback, sign up for the playtest on the Steam page.Here’s a small sneak peek at some of the changes:Energy is now replenished after every turnMagnets can activate with any combination of their assigned symbolGeneral balance improvementsItem system reworkAnd there’s more on the way: one of the next major features we’re preparing to test is Auto Roll.More details about the new version and what we’ve been working on are coming very soon!Stay tuned!

  Playtest Closing — Thank You for Playing!Hey folks!We’re closing the Charlatan playtest on Steam, and we’d like to thank everyone who took the time to play, share feedback, report bugs, and help us shape the game.We’re genuinely happy to see that Charlatan found a positive response from players — especially from those who took the time to dig into its systems, test its dirty tricks, and tell us where the machine still needs tuning.We’ve been reading your feedback, and it has been very useful for the team.   Charlatan is Announced - Join the Playtest!

  Hey everyone! We’re excited to finally announce Charlatan — a spooky slot-machine roguelike where every spin is a turn, every risk matters, and cheating is the only way to survive. In Charlatan, you’ll build synergies, rig the reels with magnets, tickets, stickers, and other dirty tricks, then try to escape a cursed cartoon amusement park run by corrupted showmen. Alongside today’s announcement, we’re opening the Charlatan Playtest on Steam. If you want to be among the first players to step into the park, test the game, and help us shape it before release, you can request access directly from the store page. The playtest will be available for 1 week! Join the PlaytestThe playtest will let you try an early version of the game, experiment with different strategies, break the slot machine in your favor, and tell us what feels fun, confusing, unfair, or suspiciously cursed.
