About this game

An Expansive, Open World

One More Run features a fully explorable, hand-crafted world with many unique biomes to explore.

The World Remembers Your Actions, and Changes as You Play

There are numerous events that can unfold from run to run as direct consequences of your actions. Many of these outcomes can semi-permanently reshape the map, change the enemies you'll face, or change other core elements of the world.

Slay Powerful Bosses to Fuel Your Skill Tree

Skill points are gained through overcoming challenges, not EXP grinding. Bringing down the strongest bosses opens up unique, build-defining abilities.

Punchy, Satisfying Attacks

Auto attacks and active abilities have been carefully designed to feel satisfying to use, and synergize meaningfully with the build choices that you make.

A Deep and Rewarding Crafting System

ARPG item-based progression is deeply integrated into the game's design. Modules are dropped from boss farming or long-survival runs, and then deterministically crafted for a satisfying meta progression experience.

And of course, Meme Builds

The Survivors-Like DNA is still intact. There's loads of ways to break the game through unique builds, and numerous leaderboards to show off your results on.

Video Announcement - End of Pre-Release Season 1

One More Run's demo leaderboard was born out of necessity - friendly competition on the discord gradually turned into a dedicated feature, and it looks like I'm now on the hook for seasons as well! This is exactly the kind of emergent feature that I was hoping for out of open development, so I'm thrilled to make it official. The video below covers all the details for those who are interested in competing over the next month on the pre-release season 1 leaderboard!

    500 Wishlists!

When I first started working on One More Run, I honestly thought it might just be something a few friends would play. I didn’t even plan on putting it on Steam at the time. To hit 500 wishlists now, that’s wild. I’ve learned a lot along the way and made my share of mistakes, but my excitement for the game has never faded. It’s an amazing feeling to know that people out there are excited about it too.At the same time, I try to always keep things in perspective. I’m a solo dev, a new dad, and still working full time. From everything I’ve learned, games tend to start becoming commercially viable around 10,000 wishlists, so this milestone is motivating as hell, but also a reminder of what's still ahead.Life right now is leaning a bit Chaotic Good (the baby's started talking a bit!). I'm keeping development sustainable by moving at a pace that keeps it fun for me to continue working on, and also staying flexible. No artificial deadlines, no chasing trends, and best of all, no publisher! 500 wishlists is just a number, but to me it’s proof that this little project has found its audience. So yeah, thank you all so much for your support thus far!-Rek

The One More Run Alpha Demo is now live!

This early build marks the beginning of the game’s open development journey. While it’s still far from feature complete, it's now in a state that I’m proud to share, and it’ll be evolving fast from here! What’s the current state of the demo? This is an alpha release, which means things are still rough around the edges, but playable and improving rapidly. I’ve been updating the internal build multiple times per week, with a mix of major content drops and lighter content + balance/bug fix updates. I plan to maintain that same pace for the demo going forward.Pending a short quality control buffer to catch any game-breaking bugs after each release, new content will hit the demo the moment it’s ready. Keep an eye on the in-game Change Log or join the Discord to follow the development progress. What’s coming next to the demo? Two big updates are coming soon:Art Update: Pixel art and animations for the ability UI of Fighter, Mage, Rogue, and Ranger are just about ready. Those janky, code-drawn fighter missile icons won't be missed.Cleric Rework: Cleric is long overdue for a full design pass. The next major content update will take Cleric from v1 to v4, introducing much deeper choices, and setting a new standard that future class design will need to meet. I won’t overhype it, but I’m definitely excited, and I think you will be too. If you're interested in seeing each class's current development state, you can view it from the in-game class selection screen.Alright. Just a short and sweet announcement this time - no in-depth devlog. I'd rather you guys be able to get in and enjoy the demo, let me know what you think!
