  Chapter 3 Development Update: We're Alive!

  Hey everyone!Yes, we're alive — which is always a good start! ːPEAKsaluteː And yes, Chapter 3, the final chapter of Tales of Klodan, is actively in development.Things are moving a little slower than expected simply because real life has been keeping both of us pretty busy lately. Since Tales of Klodan is made by just two people, major life events tend to have a very noticeable impact on development.At the end of September, JameLeen is moving to Germany with her husband, so alongside working on the game she's currently preparing for a pretty major international move.Meanwhile, I somehow decided that this would also be a great time to apply for a PhD, so my last few weeks have been filled with research proposals, paperwork, interviews, and all the other fun things that come with that ːPEAKblushːBut here's the exciting part!We've been reading all your reviews and comments, and they actually inspired us to expand Kai Helle's route and make it more detailed, more interesting, and generally a bit richer than we originally planned.No spoilers... but if you're a fan of dark romance, we think you're going to like what we're cooking 🖤The good news is that the delay shouldn't be a big one. We promise we won't leave you hanging for six months!We'll most likely spend the rest of September working on and polishing Chapter 3 before it's ready.   Devlog — Chapter 3 Progress & Behind the Scenes ⭐️

  Hello everyone!Today, we traded our home office for a cozy café. Armed with laptops, notebooks, coffee… and a little prosecco, we’re spending the day working on the script for Chapter 3 ☕🥂 Although the complete story of Tales of Klodan has been planned from the very beginning, writing the actual script is a completely different process. Every conversation, every choice, and every consequence has to feel meaningful. Sometimes one new scene leads to rewriting three others, and tbh, that’s one of our favorite parts of creating a visual novel. Without revealing too much, here’s a little peek at what we’re working on: ✨ Multiple endings for every major story route. 🖤 One completely hidden route waiting to be discovered. 👀 Several secret choices that can quietly change the direction of the story. 💥 More than one ending that we genuinely hope will leave you completely shocked. 📖 Major lore revelations that finally connect many of the mysteries introduced throughout the story. ❤️ Lots of romance, emotional tension, and some of our favorite character moments we’ve written so far. 🌿 Reaching the best endings won’t be easy, you’ll need to pay attention, remember the details, and make difficult choices. 🏆 New Steam achievements to unlock along the way (yay!). While writing Chapter 3, we’re also revisiting parts of the script based on your feedback. Reading your theories, discussions, and reviews has been incredibly inspiring, and some of your observations have helped us look at certain scenes from a completely new perspective (join our Discord to share MOREEE!!).   Chapter 2 Is Just Around the Corner!

  Hello, everyone!We wanted to share a quick update regarding Chapter 2.We are currently expecting the release in about a week, assuming everything goes smoothly on Steam’s side. The update was slightly delayed because one of our team members, whose legal entity was associated with the project, recently relocated to another country. As a result, we had to transfer the project to a new legal entity and spent the last few weeks dealing with administrative and legal procedures. Thankfully, everything is now sorted out, and we’re just waiting for the transfer process to be finalized.As a reminder, Chapter 2 will also include several improvements based on your feedback:Steam AchievementsReduced censorship in certain scenes (many of you told us the previous approach affected the atmosphere of the story)An updated Adrian sprite to better match the overall visual style of the cast and create a more consistent character presentationWe’d also like to remind new players about our original release plan. Since Tales of Klodan is being expanded through major content updates, the price for new buyers will increase slightly after each chapter release. Existing owners, however, will receive all future chapters at no additional cost.So if you’ve been thinking about picking up the game, now might be a good time before Chapter 2 arrives!That said, don’t worry if you miss the price adjustment — we plan to participate in future Steam sales, so there will still be opportunities to get the game at a discount.Thank you for your patience and support.
