About this game
BUSHCRAFT SURVIVAL is a hardcore bushcrafting survival game, set in Canada's icy northern wilderness. In Survival Mode, an endless boreal forest is generated each time a new play session starts. In Sandbox Mode you can have total control over your trek in the wilderness.
See how many days you can survive solo, or with up to 4 friends in local co-op multiplayer, in spite of snow storms, injuries and unexpected setbacks!
ROADMAP

Use primitive resources such as logs, bark and moss to build bushcraft shelters, protecting you from the frigid cold of the night. Read the Bushcraft Guide to become a master crafter and builder in this harsh climate.
🔨 Build a shelter to take cover from the rain and snow.
💧 Getting wet in freezing temperatures can be a life sentence.
🔥 Set a fire near your shelter to dry off your clothes and get some feeling back in your fingers.

Gathering resources is at the core of surviving in Bushcraft Survival. You'll need to start collecting logs, firewood, bark, and tinder right away if you want to survive this harsh environment.
🪵 Only carry what you can hold. Larger items such as firewood and logs have a carry limit that you must respect.
🗡️ While chopping down trees and whittling bark, keep an eye on your tool's sharpness and life. If it becomes blunt, it may break, leaving you without a way to start a fire.
🐟 Fishing and trapping will be your primary way of gathering food resources. Cook on an open fire to rid your food of pathogens and avoid getting sick.
Collecting resources and building is faster with a friend!

The core loop of the game is to survive. But going beyond survival, you will want to master your craft and upgrade tools in the Skill Tree.
🏠 In order to find new tools in the game, you must seek out Public Use Cabins. Inside you will find resources to sustain you and new tools which you can use in further rounds.
💪 Get additional perks, like increased efficiency, tool resiliency and reduced operation time.

Bushcraft Survival is a passion project made by a solo developer from a small province in Canada called Newfoundland. Growing up building simple log cabins in the woods, sitting by the fire and staring up at the night sky full of stars, and tagging along hunting expeditions have all been core ingredients for the makeup of this game.

Steamdeck Update!
Big news! I finally got my hands on a Steam Deck and now the game is playing really well on the deck. The two main visual bug fixes are: The cursor now properly displays in the center of the screenThe UI and menu items are scaled properlyThe tradeoff right now is that we have some small black bars to contend with due to the aspect ratio different, but otherwise, it should be good!Fix PhotosCursor now shown in center of screen:UI and menu items show correctly:Read full article on Community Announcements (michaeljared)Patch NotesOfficial

PATCH NOTES v0.3.29-v.0.3.33Truck despawning issue is fixedIcon added to minimap that always shows the truck's position"Ping" sound effect added during tutorial to help player know when they have completed a stepA number of bug fixes with the Skill Tree/XP system when playing in multiplayer co-opNow "leaving the hunting zone" is a little more clear, and the UI in the top right will tell you how far from a cabin you need to be to start survivingLots of tutorial descriptions have been reworded, and I have replaced using the Hatchet to chop down the first tree with the Folding SawThe red text has been removed, and replaced with a lighter orangeWhen scrolling through your inventory it ONLY shows you the inventory items that you currently have. Hopefully this makes scrolling through inventory easierSmall bug fix that was causing a crash when placing certain inventory itemsBig upgrade to rabbit snaring! Footprints ONLY generate when the rabbit is running on its trail. When it is running away/fleeing for any other reason it doesn't generate footprints. This makes it less realistic, but easier to actually track them (before there were too many footprints)In SURVIVALIST mode, the rabbit footprints generate in the snow realistically, making it harderThe clutter on the Minimap markers has been improvedBug fix with the truck minimap markerNow cabin minimap markers only generate when you get close to a public use cabin, instead of all at onceLog entries are now more descriptive (it will tell you why a rabbit runs away from an encounter).
