Scale the treacherous mountain as a lost nature scout or with companions in PEAK, where one misstep could be your last.

About this game

PEAK is a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. Either solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island is to scale the mountain at its center. Do you have what it takes to reach the PEAK?

WORK TOGETHER

Need a Hand? You’ll need to rely on your friends to have any hope of scaling the mountain, which changes every single day. Help each other up ledges, or place ropes and climbing spikes to make the way easier for those who come after.

CLIMB

The Mountain Takes no Prisoners! Climb through 4 biomes on your way to the PEAK, each with their own life-threatening obstacles. You’ll need to scavenge for questionable food to survive, and manage your injuries carefully - every setback limits your stamina, making it harder to climb.

SURVIVE

Prepare For the Worst: Discover a variety of helpful survival items, from energy drinks to climbing spikes to the mysterious Anti-Rope. You’ve got no hope of making it to the PEAK unless you press every advantage given to you.

A NEW ISLAND EACH DAY

The game's map rotates out every 24 hours! Try out the new layout each day, or give the same island multiple attempts in a day until you conquer it.

EARN BADGES

A Well-Seasoned Scout: Show off your survival prowess with dozens of badges to earn and cosmetics to unlock.

CLIMBING IS BETTER WITH FRIENDS

Multiplayer in PEAK is friends-only - invite up to three other scouts through Steam to climb together, or face the mountain alone if you're really brave!

    Patch Notes 2.6.a

Map Pool You may have noticed this last week's maps have been weirdly consistent in terms of biome selection, with each day being either all old or all new maps. This patch will replace the current map pool with islands that are properly randomized. Bugfixes Campfire saves should now properly track the state of the luggage and other objects around the campfire in the Citadel Made non-host game saves a little more consistent (players that aren't the host don't get complete world state in their game saves like the host does. When players other than the original Host decide to host a run from a save, they will still see a little weirdness around item spawning, sorry!) Fixed bug where the host's run-based achievement progress wouldn't save at a campfire (this affected things like the Gourmand badge; the game would forget what items the host had already eaten when Continuing a run from a save) Players reconnecting to a game after Continuing from a save should *also* not spawn dead when they should be alive Fixed a case where the Bugle of Friendship would magically recharge Fixed some more cases where trying to join a game with a bad room code would cause the game to get stuck at a loading screen Maybe made reviving less buggy who knows though tbh When we started integrating the changes necessary to support PEAK on consoles, we created a lot of bugs having to do with how player and world state are saved. If you've been on PEAK in the last few weeks and have needed to reconnect to an ongoing game or save and come back later, you've probably seen some of these issues pop up in the form of coming back dead, losing items you had, etc. We're really sorry about that, and thanks for sticking with us as we track them all down! We've been working really hard to fix those bugs, and hopefully this patch sees most of the remaining cases solved, but as always, please let us know through our Bug Reporting channel on the PEAK Discord if you have more problems (BE NICE THO!!!)

Patch 2.4.c: Bookworm badge fix, lag fix and more

Hello Scouts! Here’s a new patch for you ːPEAKsaluteːIn the previous build, we had some issues with the Bookworm badge where the progress would be reset at the start of every run, and the Guidebook Scrolls would disappear when opened. This led to some people losing their badges and prevented others from achieving it. Super sorry about that!To make this right, we’ve added a temporary fix so those of you who earned the badge can get it without having to redo it. Flip the guidebook to the second page (the one with the Scoutmaster and Rule 0 on it) and use the salute emote - this should grant you the badge. This is a CHEAT that will work for everyone, so only use it if you already earned the badge!!!Patch Notes:GAMEPLAYAmulets can no longer be cooked.BUGFIXESFixed an issue where the Bookworm Badge would reset its progress at the start of every runGuidebook scrolls should no longer disappear when openedFixed a case where longer runs would suddenly start lagging out of nowhereAttempting to join a room that doesn't exist should no longer cause the game to get stuck on a loading screenFixed an issue where the Aeronautics Badge could be acquired by someone else in your lobby performing its requirements. The Daredevil Badge unlock requirement should now work properly.Fixed weight not being updated when placing an item into a backpack that is on the ground.Fixed being able to start climbing when being carried by a condor and teleporting you back to the wall once the condor releases you.The Play Dead emote now locks you from item switching for its duration, preventing an exploit where players could drop from heights and receive no fall damage if they swapped items rapidly in this state.Fixed an issue where lava flows would give you stamina when hitting you, which would let you exploit them for extended climbs with items that grant invincibility.Fixed an issue where other players taking poison damage would not cause them to flash purple.QUALITY OF LIFELocalization and text UI imp...

Patch 2.04.a THE KILN IS BACK

PATCH 2.04.aThe CALDERA and THE KILNHave been re-added to the map rotation…with some extra goodies ːPEAKpointːCondors now fly around the CALDERA. Ever wonder why those big nests were around? Don’t get kidnapped!Petrifying rocks have been added to THE KILNHot rock bridges have been added to THE KILNAdded 2 more luggages in the spawner for THE KILN and removed 1 luggage from the statue area at the end of the CALDERA, but made it guaranteed to spawn better luggage. PREPARING FOR PORTSBelieve it or not, we’ve actually been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes to prepare the game for console ports! In this patch, we’ve merged in the porting work with the main Steam version of the game. This may introduce bugs or cause installed mods to stop working, but we wanted to get these issues out of the way before we actually launch on consoles. But on the bright side, we now have: ROOM CODES!PEAK has room codes!!! This is how players will be able to play cross-platform once our console ports are out.In a lobby, you should see a room code on the pause menu that can be copied and sent to your friends. They can enter that code by hitting “JOIN GAME” on the main menu. Existing ways to invite your friends to games will still work.In the Settings menu, there is an option to hide the room code (for streamers) BALANCE CHANGESFanny Pack is now disabled in solo play. You can no longer duplicate a Scout Effigy with Scout’s Generosity (for real this time)Using the Rescue Claw on a friend will ragdoll them for less time, making it easier for them to grab onto something once the claw completes.Bouncy Mushroom changes:The max velocity you can get from bouncing off a mushroom from high up has been raised. This should make it more consistent to get the Mycoacrobatics Badge.Jump height will decay slightly faster on consecutive bounces.Bouncing onto a mushroom from higher up will now make it less likely for you to bounce at an unpredictable off-angle that could lead to taking fall damage.Dislod...
