About this game

WELCOME TO THE THIEVES GUILD

THE JOB: GET IN, GET PAID.

Go in alone or form a crew of up to 4 players and sneak into dangerous locations across the world of Marfit. Steal valuable loot, escape with your earnings, and secure enough gold to fund your chosen Finale, the ultimate high-stakes heist.

Choose your contracts wisely. Every contract attempted brings you closer and closer to the finale heist, whether you succeed or fail.

UNPREDICTABLE HEISTS

Every heist is different. Random mission modifiers, changing loot spawns, and different enemy types can turn your perfect heist into a desperate escape.

PROFESSIONAL TOOLS FOR AMATEUR THIEVES

Progression is about your tools, not your stats. Spend your hard earned gold to expand your personal arsenal and prepare for the heists ahead.

Use Shovels to stun unexpected Guards, Lock Melters to quietly open doors, Smoke Bombs to break line of sight, and much much more.

SOLO OR CO-OP

Whether you’re going in alone or with a crew of up to 4 players, the heist of a lifetime is always within reach, as long as you can actually pull it off.

Update 1.9 – New Contract, New Curses & More

Greetings Thieves,I hope you are all doing well! I'm happy to say Cloak And Coin has another brand new update available for you all to try out! Update 1.9 is now available for download and includes a lot of changes that are finally ready for you all to experience, starting with arguably the most exciting one:New Contract: Mind Over MetalA previously abandoned dwarven forge deep in the mountains has been given new life in order to begin the production of prototype Sentinels, designed from the ground up to put an end to the Thieves Guild. It's your job to infiltrate the forge and steal the prototype before development can continue.I really love this new contract and its general theming and design. As a big fan of dwarves as a whole, I wanted to do my own spin on what I imagine when I hear the words: Dwarven Forge.Mind Over Metal is now available in both Career Mode across all difficulties and Contract Maker. Alongside this are a whole host of other gameplay improvements, changes and bug fixes.New Curses:I've also spent some time working on new Curses that I think will continue to add replayability to Career Mode across all difficulties:Reduced Player Speed - Reduces Player walking speed by 10%.No Team Lives - Not much else to infer here, but this will be a guaranteed Curse during Elite difficulty in Career Mode going forward. No Threats - For Players who want to explore the contracts, or learn how some of the objectives work. This removes all enemies from a contract. Does not count towards specific achievement progress and is only available in Contract Maker.Update 1.9 Patch NotesGameplay:Added the new Mind Over Metal contract to the available contract pool across all difficulties.Added two new secondary objectives, Steal Fine Wine and Steal Golden Skull.Added all new Curses to the existing Curse pools in Career Mode.Increased the chances of more than one Curse appearing on Hard Difficulty during Career Mode.Guaranteed the No Team Lives Curse on Elite Difficulty during...

Update 1.8.1 - Partial Controller Support & Quality of Life Changes

Greetings Thieves,I have a smaller update for you that was born out of wanting to tackle some of the outstanding bugs that have been reported to me over the past few weeks, while also sneaking in a handful of larger quality of life improvements that I hope you'll all enjoy. One of the biggest additions in this update is the first pass at controller support. This has been something I've wanted to implement for a while, and while it's not quite finished yet, the foundations are now in place. Alongside that, I've continued tweaking Guard balance, expanded the Curse pool in Career Mode, and fixed a number of issues that have been reported by the community.Gameplay:Added partial controller/gamepad support. All in-game gameplay actions should now work natively by plugging in an Xbox controller (or by emulating one). Menu navigation isn't quite finished yet as it requires a surprising amount of manual work across every existing menu, but this will continue to be improved over the coming updates.Added Xbox controller input icons throughout gameplay.Reduced and rebalanced the available hunting radius for Guards across all difficulties to make escaping investigations slightly more forgiving.Reduced Guard sight range across all difficulties to give Players a little more breathing room when remaining hidden.Increased the Finale cost across all difficulties, encouraging teams to prepare more thoroughly before attempting the final heist in Career Mode.Added two new available Curses:Less Safes – Reduces the total number of Safes that spawn on a contract by one.Improved Tracking – Guards become much more effective at tracking and hunting Players after losing sight of them.Added both new Curses to the available Curse pool at the appropriate Career Mode difficulties.Reduced the movement speed bonus granted by the Faster Guards Curse from 15% to 10%.Reworked the Increase Vision Curse. Rather than adding a flat amount to Guard vision, it now increases their sight range by 15%, scaling n...

Update 1.8 – Brewing Troubles Reworked, UI Improvements & More

Greetings Thieves,I hope you are all surviving the hot summer months. I know I certainly am not.But in Update 1.8, you can cool off with a snowy rework of the Brewing Troubles contract, along with more gameplay and balance tweaks, plus a handful of quality-of-life improvements to get Cloak And Coin that little bit closer to a full release!Re-Worked Contract: Brewing TroublesWhile playing Cloak And Coin with some of you and in a few small testing circles, I noticed a troubling (see what I did there?) trend with the Brewing Troubles contract: nobody was playing it.The general vibe I got was that players found the layout confusing and the difficulty a little too punishing. So I went back to the drawing board and reworked the map into something I'm much happier with. Introducing Brewing Troubles 2.0:The objective stays the same but I have changed the mission briefing ever so slightly:Deep in the frozen peaks sits a long-abandoned alchemists’ academy, recently broken into by a disgraced alchemist seeking revenge on an ally of the Thieves Guild. Infiltrate the tower, spoil the brewing concoction.I much prefer the new look and feel of Brewing Troubles, and I hope you all have a blast playing it! Shipping alongside Update 1.8 come more changes, gameplay improvments and quality of life changes.Update 1.8 Patch NotesGameplay:Added the reworked Brewing Troubles contract to the available contract pool across all difficulties.Increased Guard patrol times across all difficulties.Increased Guard hunting radius across all difficulties.Reworked the Main Menu and Pause Menu to better match my final vision for these screens.Added several new hat cosmetics to Gordon the Goblin's Hat Emporium.Increased overall lighting brightness in Gunpowder Gambit.Added more props to Gunpowder Gambit to help break line of sight and escape chases.Added new sound effects for book pickups.Added additional sound variants for all item pickups.Bug fixes:Fixed an issue where Guards and other enemies could fal...

Update 1.7 – Better Guards, Seamless Shops & Gameplay Improvements

Greetings Thieves,I hope you’re all having a great start to your summer. I’ve been hard at work on Update 1.7, focusing on some long-standing gameplay improvements that many of you have been asking for.For this update, I really wanted to focus on some long-standing gameplay improvements and feedback that many of you have been requesting for quite some time.So without any further ado, let’s get into Update 1.7 and everything it brings.Improvements: Guard Patrolling & Difficulty ScalingAfter reviewing gameplay sessions across different difficulties, I noticed that players on higher difficulties generally seemed more engaged with Cloak And Coin’s core gameplay systems.A large part of this appears to come from the additional pressure introduced through tougher Guard behaviour and Curses, which naturally create more unpredictable situations during Contracts. For Update 1.7, I wanted to improve how Guards behave across all difficulties so newer players still experience that same sense of tension and pursuit, without making lower difficulties feel overwhelming. To help address this, I’ve spent a lot of time this update rebalancing Guard behaviour, detection, and difficulty scaling across the board. Guards will now hunt players more consistently after losing line of sight, regardless of difficulty level.I’ve also reworked Guard movement and sprinting speeds to create a healthier balance between pressure and accessibility. My hope is that Guards still feel a little clumsy on lower difficulties, while remaining persistent enough to encourage players to properly engage with the games coire mechanics. As always, I’d love to hear what you all think once you’ve had a chance to try the changes for yourselves.New Feature: Better ShopsThe death of queueing culture as we know it...Thieves can now interact with the same shop vendor at the same time, allowing everyone to browse clothing, hats, and equipment without waiting for another player to finish shopping first. This was a much-needed...
