With realistic checklist procedures, self-paced learning, interactive aircraft controls, and real-time feedback, this application takes gamified learning to new heights.
Freeplay Flight:
Aircraft can be positioned at multiple areas in the environment including the base of the runway before engine start, 1 mile at the approach position, and the 3 mile landing position. This mode is preset with key bindings to gamify the control inputs.
Real-time instrument feedback for attitude indicator, airspeed indicator, altitude, directional gyro, engine RPM, turn coordinator, and vertical speed indicator.
Real-time flight control surface feedback and lighting designated to aircraft specifications and limitations.
Unlimited aircraft repositions and fuel, no penalty for crashing or depletion of fuel.
Normal Procedures:
Aircraft Introduction demonstrates an overview of a fixed wing aircraft indicating important specifications and limitations at a basic level of instruction in a third person perspective. Self guided step navigation provided for repeat student review.
Preflight Inspection begins the Normal Procedures of a walk-a-round inspection in a first person perspective with guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections. Self guided step navigation provided for repeat student review.
Time On Task Preflight Inspection tests the student in a complex mode of instruction covering the Preflight Inspection that is unguided and timed from a first person perspective.
Engine Start, a first person perspective with the aircraft in the post preflight configuration with guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections.
Time On Task Engine Start tests the student in a complex mode of instruction covering the Engine Start that is unguided and timed from a first person perspective.
Takeoff procedure begins complex instruction with real time feedback from the aircraft. This procedure provides self guided step navigation at key moments, guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections.
Landing procedure demonstrates complex instruction with real time feedback from the aircraft. This procedure provides self guided step navigation at key moments, guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections.
Scenarios:
Emergency Landing demonstrates the Engine Failure On Takeoff, Engine Failure After Takeoff, Engine Failure In Flight, Forced Landing - Ditching, Landing On A Flat Main Tire, and the Bird Strike procedures.
Traffic Hazards demonstrates the Taxi To Takeoff Traffic, Takeoff Traffic, Altitude Deconflict Traffic, and Landing On Approach Traffic procedures.
Fire Survival demonstrates the Fire During Start On Ground, Engine Fire In Flight, Cabin Fire, and Wing Fire procedures.
Electrical Survival demonstrates the Electrical Fire In Flight, Power Supply High Malfunction, and Power Supply Low Malfunction procedures.
Weather Hazards demonstrates the Icing, Crosswind Landing, Thunderstorm Avoidance, and Lightning Strike procedures.
Pilot Record:
Ranking system created for certificate updates per scenario completion. Pilot Rating points capture each completion of the course to update the student's overall rating.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced pilot looking to enhance your skills, this desktop application provides a safe and convenient platform to practice maneuvers, navigate checklist familiarization, and develop critical decision-making abilities. Get ready to embark on an exciting journey towards becoming a skilled aviator, all from the comfort of your own computer. Version 2.3.2.1 Update
Thank you all for the successful launch this past week and tremendous feedback for My Fly. The most consistent point of feedback has been for physical hardware control support. Specifically the use case of multiple inputs during any form of banking for rudder/aileron inputs as well as understanding crosswind landing complexities. During this, a user must be using both hands and feet to control throttle, crab angle, and climb/dive/roll during touchdown. The keyboard inputs are still possible to achieve this but has a larger learning curve. The Logitech G (Saitek) Flight Simulator Yoke, Throttle, and Rudder Pedal physical hardware controls are now supported for My Fly version 2.3.2.1. This is best accessible within the Freeplay Flight mode. Yoke controls for left/right/up/down as well as flaps up/down on B1/B2 yoke buttons, rudder left/right, and throttle 1/2/3 0-1 have been mapped to each of the control surface inputs and engine inputs on the control column for real-time feedback. To use:Prior to launching My Fly to use the new physical hardware controls, ensure the hardware is updated from Logitech and connected to your PC via USB.Once connected, launch My Fly and select the location desired to start in the Freeplay Flight mode.Aviate the aircraft with real time feedback and inputs to the plane.Note:Support for the new physical hardware controls within the Flight School and Scenario modes is limited. Possible aircraft resets, real-time feedback from the control column, and step inputs are impacted with the new control scheme when the controls are plugged in. All designated step sequencing follows the primary input controls for keyboard only as initially designed. Aviating during these modes is possible to help understand the inputs required and ease the aviation transitions.Additional Global Updates:Interior camera movement sensitivity has been increased for ease of viewing.Pilot rating score is reset from this update, ranks for scenarios and flight school completion ...Read full article on Community Announcements (Illusion Interactive)Patch NotesOfficial
