Set off on your journey to become a Master Angler by experiencing the unique genre blend of fishing sim and turn-based JRPG combat all wrapped up with fantasy elements!
Traverse over 10 unique and varied biomes, catching rare and exotic fish– both real and fantastical! Play a Timing-based fishing minigame to reel in the fish, before taking it on in a traditional party based RPG battle to weakened the fish for capture! Experience the interesting and lore-rich world of Concordia filled with fun and quirky characters, thought provoking story and dialogue, heart-to-heart character moments, and the ever looming sinister presence behind it all!
Inspired by games like River King: Mystic Valley, Dredge, and Deep Horrors of Fishing!
You play as a young girl Sakura who wishes to travel the land of Concordia and become a master angler! Along the way she meets up with a Seafarer named Kiara and the two traverse several ocean biomes, finding and catching new types of fish and other marine life along the way.
The land of Concordia, named after the Goddess Concordia, Mother of Sea and Star, is a vast series of small islands and land masses populated by humans, Seafarers, and various marine animals. The humans usually dwell more inland, while the non-human Seafarers make their settlements by the seashore. Seafarers have distinctive features such as long ears that help with sea navigation, and horns which act as beacons to communicate with the divines. Though similar in nature, Seafarers tend to stay away from human territories, much more preferring to stick as close to the sea as possible.
There is a darkness looming far beneath the sea referred to as "The Deep" by Seafarers. The Deep are a mutated, twisted, mangled race of Eldritch fish that rise from the abyss and cause havoc across the land. This abyssal power even can contaminate and corrupt regular marine life, turning them too, into abhorrent creatures. Every 500 years, a special person is chosen by the divines to become the Mystic Angler and uses the powers of the Oceanic Elements– Tide, Abyss, and Star– to cull the abyssal threat. However, it's been 502 years since the last Mystic and the land is once again falling to ruin without a new hero. Can Sakura and Kiara step up to the plate to rid the deep in place of the Mystic Angler?
In a fishable body of water, drop your line, and wait for a snag!
In Mystic Fishing, fishing comes in three waves:
1. Drop your bobber into the water and wait for a bite
2. Play in one of several "reeling minigames" to reel in your catch
3. Once reeled in, your catch becomes aggressive and attacks! Engage in a "fishing battle" to weaken the fish!
Use Fishing Rods, Harpoons, Spear Guns, and even Fish Hooks the size of anchors as weapons to reel and wrangle in your catch!
These aren't your average everyday fish ether, most of these marine and freshwater animals will come packed with skills of their own, even able to use Oceanic Elements in their favor!
Make sure you're fully equipped before dropping your line into these dangerous waters!
Every fish you catch will be catalogued into your Fish Encyclopedia which contains real world information and facts about all the different kinds of marine species you find! Challenge yourself to find and collect them all to fully fill out your encyclopedia (and maybe learn some new facts along the way)!
A young girl who grew up with her father in the small fishing village of Driftveil. She had lived most of her life secluded in the town, only leaving to fish at a nearby pond. Determined and strong willed, paired with a vast wanderlust, her father helps to set her off on her journey to explore the land of Concordia and become a master angler! Though her compassion and inability to abandon those in need end up roping her into a much bigger destiny.
Deftly skilled with a fishing spear, Kiara is apart of the Seafaring Tribe. A race of non-humans who have a natural strong connection to the sea and Oceanic Elements. Unable to sit still for even a moment, this whirlwind of a girl has a heart of gold and only wishes to support her friends and family anyway she can. With her natural sense of the elements, she helps Sakura blossom her voyage into something much more grand.
A mysterious boy who lives in the ruins off the coast of the sea. He says he is investigating the many Seaside Ruins across Concordia, searching for answers about The Deep. His past years of research brings him ever closer to unlocking the mysteries of the mutated fish and their origins. Though he shares the same goal as the protagonists, can he be trusted?
Known as the Goddess Born From the Sea, Lapis is known far and wide across Concordia as a saint, due to her benevolence and tender-heartedness. Lapis, unlike her older sister, loves everything about the mortal realm. When not locked away in the Seascape Palace, she often spends her time people-watching, observing their daily lives. When Seafarers pray to the divines, Lapis is the one who answers.
Known as the Goddess Born From the Stars, Lazuli is much unlike her sister. Her disdain for humans and short temper have earned her a reputation of being fear by most mortals. Wielding a massive fish hook as her weapon of choice, she spends most her days at the bottom of the ocean, driving back The Deep. Despite her cold demeanor, there's nothing she loves more in the world than her young sister.

DEMO 2.0! New Stats, Damage Formulas, Fish Animations & More!
Hello everybody, my name is Xinitii!I've been hard at work updating some QoL aspects of Mystic Fishing and I'm happy to say that I have updated the demo with all the new bells and whistles for you to try out!MYSTIC FISHING DEMO 2.0Mystic Fishing DEMO 2.0 Changes:🎣ADDED New Reeling Minigames + Bobber Animation-2 brand new reeling minigames have been added for variety's sake. They will unlock as you play through the demo. A bobber animation has also been added to spice up fishing.🎣ADDED Bobbers, Lures, and Reels!-Special equipment have been added in order to allow players to customize their fishing experience more to their liking. Equipping certain bobbers can change the reeling minigame, and certain reels/lures can even introduce a "chill" fishing mode for those who want to relax.🎣ADDED Keybind Customization-You can now change both keyboard and gamepad keybinds from the menu.🎣ADDED Fish Encyclopedia Pages for DEMO Fish-All fish (except the Super Boss) now have their encyclopedia pages available to unlock in the demo simply by catching said fish. These pages include real world facts about each fish, or made up lore for any fantasy fish.🎣UPDATED Stat Numbers-All fish and playable characters have new stat layouts in order to match the new damage formulas.
