About this game

🌐 Online: First-person tank arena combat game, teams of 3–10 players go up against one another in arcade-style warfare—with every keystroke determining victory or defeat.
⌨️ Revolutionary keyboard-only controls: Say goodbye to boring copypasta twitchy mouse-aiming and hello to precision maneuvers that reward the dance of mastering both your tank's position and turret aim. Every movement is mapped to your keys, creating a tactile battlefield experience that grows deeper and more rewarding the longer you play. Whether you’re coordinating a pincer in Capture the Flag or holding the line on a contested control point, keyboard tactics become your ultimate weapon—something no other first-person tank combat game can touch. Once you master them, you'll never be able to go back to a mouse-controlled tank combat game again.
Four Electrifying Game Modes
🚀Total Wars CTF: Unleash chaos with an arsenal of tanks and weapons at your fingertips. Seize control points, capture enemy flags, and wage all-out war by any means necessary—whether you rain shells from afar or charge headlong into the fray. In Total Wars CTF, victory belongs to the bold and the relentless.
🚀Laser Wars: Streamlined and simplified, yet tactical as ever. Each player commands a single tank equipped with a laser cannon, plus one customizable module to tweak your playstyle. With perfectly balanced loadouts, teamwork and coordination are everything—so lock in with your squad and execute flawless flanks.
🚀Phoenix Wars: Two shots; one chance to reign supreme. This mode strips combat back to raw FPS fundamentals: lead your target, dodge incoming fire, and prove your sharpshooting prowess. Every engagement tests your reflexes and decision-making—survive the heat, and you’ll rise from the ashes like a true Phoenix.
🚀Impulse Wars: Gravity is your deadliest weapon. Instead of chasing kills, you’ll mastermind physics: push your opponents towards towering ledges, launch them off ramps, and watch them tumble into oblivion. Impulse Wars rewrites the rules of engagement—outsmart your foes and let physics do the rest.

Build 0.9.51 - Impulse Wars Revamp!
Impulse Wars has once again been revamped. The improvements of ramps and slope behavior should lead to more consistent gameplay now. We still have many variables that may be tuned live, but our goal is to find one set that feels good across all arenas which may require further reduction of code (and thus complexity) of the mode. The center Mosh ramps might still give us some issues, so for now keep treating the shallower of the two (the shallowest ramp found in game) as effectively flat ground for the time being.Read full article on Community Announcements (devofrez)AnnouncementsOfficial
Build 0.9.26 - Improvements To Impulse Wars
Quite a few updates to Impulse Wars to improve the gameplay!Forward tank velocity no longer negates impulse missile power when on a slope or ramp. Forward tank velocity negates only on flat surfaces now. This reduces turbo from being OP as a defensive maneuver, since it is already difficult to hit a turbo juke. If this doesn't feel good, we can always try to a middle ground if you consider prior as effect 1, and this now as effect 0, there is a 0.5, and so on.The effect of impact angle on ramp is a major influence too - this is now reduced a little bit. But only a little bit to start.Hitting walls in the air now produces proper spin. This is mostly visual improving the perceived effect of impacts and should also make following up with air shots a little more challenging. While this will make reverse air shots more difficult as you may find yourself sent into an arial spin more often, but the visual improvement is probably a lot more important here as it leans into chaos, without actually directly adding more chaos.Mosh now has walls that go to the ceiling.Missile hitboxes updated - it should now be easier to shoot barely over a ramp, making peeking more dangerous.Missile crosshair updated to make it less in your face.New Impulse Wars arena: ForceX. The outer barrier walls are right up against the arena to begin, which may lead to the outer edge of the arena being a bit safe. We should play and see how this feels, because if we back them up it might make the arena edges unplayable (too dangerous).DecemX and ForceX have rain weather systems added (~20 minutes every 2 hours). Braulin also has a snow system added (~1 hour every 2 hours). The different quality levels will control emission particles from Y2K being 0, Low = 0.25, Medium = 0.5, High = 0.75, Ultra = 1. If these work OK, we can start adding them to other arenas. Not all arenas will have weather; just certain ones set to the Rain or Snow weather type.Read full article on Community Announcements (devofrez)AnnouncementsOfficial
Mouse Aiming Added!
Mouse AimingWhile it was never intended for Rezarus to be played like a modern first-person game, maybe the best course of action is to allow users to choose between a more modern control set and the retro keyboard only style mode. Thus, based on new user feedback, mouse control/aiming has been officially added to Rezarus for testing! It will be fine-tuned in the coming week based on player feedback.Default ConfigurationsThe new default configuration for new players, or config resets enables mouse aiming. If you do not wish to play with mouse aiming - you must disable it in the game's options under Mouse settings. Additionally, you may wish to rebind arrow key driving to WASD instead.BindingsIt's not yet possible to bind mouse buttons outside of their current defaults - this will become possible in a coming soon update once the Mouse Binder controller is finished.Other NotesAdditional updates include more performance improvements, particularly in the CPU bottlenecked Y2K and Low overall graphics quality modes. You may now also adjust the opacity of the game's HUD in the graphics settings. More arenas will be optimized for performance soon as well.Read full article on Community Announcements (devofrez)AnnouncementsOfficial
Build 0.8.45 - VFX Added!
VFX Graph GPU-driven particle systems can easily render 10 to 100 times more particles than CPUs (with the caveat that collisions are not as easily handled). Rezarus begins adding VFX support by adding VFX graph particle driven under the Ultra graphics settings for the following arenas: Attic (acid rain), Braulin (snow), Compact (rain), and Singularity (floating ash). These will continue to be improved visually and optimized for performance with time. Thus, on one of the spectrum we've been trying to optimize the game for mobile devices with the Y2K/Low presets, but we're also trying to make the game much more visually appealing to those who have systems capable of running it with the Ultra preset.Read full article on Community Announcements (devofrez)Patch NotesOfficial
Build 0.8.37 - Performance Fixes
Performance Fixes 1. (UPDATE) ALL: In the graphics settings the Volumetric Quality setting now better scales performance. Also, you may toggle off a certain reflection type that was recently added (SSR). For best performance, make sure volumetric quality is set to Low, SSR is off, Reflections (planar) are off, and grass density (for arena with it) is set to 0. To monitor FPS in-game, you may use the #fps command to toggle the performance info on/off. Hopefully this resolves some issues some users may have had.2. (UPDATE) VOICE: Default voice command sends voice to team - you must now hold down Left Shift (along with V while in PTT mode) while speaking to route voice to the entire arena.Read full article on Community Announcements (devofrez)
