  BACKSPACE 1.6 | The Anniversary Update

  Today marks one whole year since BACKSPACE was released upon the world!! With this, we have THIS UPDATE! You may have already noticed the fancy new cover art and Steam graphics I've made up for the occasion, which I think have significantly more flair, to be quite honest.As for the game itself, we've got:Boring tiny bug fixesUpdated title screen! It's purple!The BACKSPACE Museum (WHAT???)okay so whats the BACKSPACE museumWELL, if you are to collect all of the floppy disks (or whatever you call them) hidden throughout the game, there is now a little bonus area you get access to after the end of the game. It lets you have a fun little look around through the game's contents, along with some notes, stories, and images from caseyfromspace (ME) about the game's development and such. It's definitely lame nerd stuff but I like this sorta thing, okay... Anyway, hopefully that's a nice extra little treat for players who've collected all the disks, or perhaps a bit more incentive for those who didn't to pick up the game again and give it a shot? I have heard whispers of a helpful Steam guide showing how to find all the floppy disks if you're having trouble...Anyway, I hope this is all at least pretty cool. Thank you everyone for a wonderful year of BACKSPACE :D

  BACKSPACE 1.5, BABY!

  Through BACKSPACE's first year in this world, despite being in a state I considered very much finished for most of that year, I slowly accumulated a list of small issues, mistakes, or just ways the game could be better (Thank you to everyone involved for the feedback!). With BACKSPACE's soon coming first anniversary and my devious plans for that, I decided it's time to finally give the game a proper update!This update fixes:Some bugsSome typosBut I believe most importantly, improves some of the puzzles! I won't go into too much detail on what has been changed as to not spoil the solutions for said puzzles for anyone who hasn't yet played the game, but just know:The shipment warehouse puzzle has been streamlined to be much less tedious and much more clear in what you're supposed to doA portion of the forged ID puzzle has been given a bit more direction as it was a little cruelly open-ended beforeI hope this update improves the experience a lot, especially the changes to the shipment warehouse section, as I know that was a common pain point. And hey, if you've already beaten the game, now is a better time than any to give it another playthrough before my mysterious anniversary plans, heheheh.

  1.4.3, A Big Proper Patch!

  Hi everybody! This is just another patch with a bunch of little tiny fixes, but I'm calling it big because it has a new feature of sorts! I had somebody reach out to me who told me that there were some accessibility issues with the game due to the sections with strict time limits. So, with this update, at the start of the game there is now an option to disable time limits! I still recommend leaving time limits enabled if you are able to, but if the time limits stop the game from being playable for you, or if you just don't want time limits in your chill puzzle game, feel free to turn them off! Other stuff: -Fixed some graphical issues -Fixed some collision issues Thank you all so much for playing BACKSPACE!!! :D

  Big patch of many little things!

  As the world has gained access to Backspace, a bunch of little issues have come to my attention that flew under the radar of me and my playtesters! This first proper patch fixes a bunch of little issues the Backspace community has discovered! Here's what has been fixed! -Fixed some incorrect portrait sprites -Fixed a single silly typo -Fixed a bug where you could soft lock yourself near the ending, OOPS -Fixed a bug where a cutscene would repeat upon re-entering a room -Fixed a bug where you could do the thing you do with the stapler (spoilers) multiple times and mess up things real bad, again, OOPS I'm so glad you all are enjoying Backspace and thank you so much for playing!!!!
