About this game
Note: This game is a remake of the 2015 visual novel The Way We All Go by ebi-hime. This remake contains entirely new character sprites and backgrounds, over forty new event CGs, and an entirely new soundtrack. The game has also been remastered in 1080p. There is one new route and several bonus extra scenes to unlock which were not present in the original visual novel.

The year is 1980, and it's been two years since Atsushi, affectionately nicknamed as Atcchan, left his hometown: a small village deep in the Japanese countryside. Now, after all of this time, he is returning for a scant three days during the summer, which will be spent with his grandparents.
During these two years, Atcchan failed to keep in contact with his two childhood friends: the shy artist Noelle and the cheerful tomboy Amu. Will he be able to reconnect with his old friends, or will his brief stay in the countryside result in tragedy?
That is up for the player to decide, in this heavily branching horror/romance visual novel with over 20 different endings. Whether Atcchan will be able to reconcile with his friends is entirely up to you.

The Way We All Go Remake has been released!
Hello everybody, this is ebi! This is a bit of a belated announcement since it's been out for a few days already, but the remake of my old yandere horror visual novel from 2015, The Way We All Go, has been released! https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/e337b0ce2db3f8f1451ffc225e288adad1103282.png The remake upgrades the resolution of the game from 600x800 to 1920x1080, updates all of the art (character sprites, backgrounds, and the UI), and there's a brand new OST comprised of original tracks. The remake also adds several unlockable bonus stories for a bunch of the characters which can be found in the extras menu, and it also adds a brand new route with a brand new girl into the VN which is about 50k~ish. All told, the new content adds around 80k to the VN, so there should be plenty for even enjoyers of the original to sink their teeth into. https://clan.akamai.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/dd579bfb0ed98d12559839661acb77c66d9a5915.png Additionally, all of the text from the 2015 build has been updated so it's a little more polished (there were some pretty awkward turns of phrase in the original VN haha ;;;) I hope you enjoy the remake if you do check it out! I put a lot of love and hard work into it to bring this story to life, and I hope you'll all have fun with it! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3422290/The_Way_We_All_Go/ - ebi xRead full article on Community Announcements (ebihime)AnnouncementsOfficial

The Way We All Go Remake demo is now live!
Hello everybody, I'm writing an announcement to let you know that the demo for the remake of The Way We All Go, which I've been plugging away at for a couple of years, is now live during Steam Next Fest! https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/f3623d9cccd86062980b2c58bb5586506d089f67.png The demo showcases the first in-game day in the visual novel, including your first meeting with Amu and Noelle. The story remains more or less unchanged, minus some rewritten lines, but there is new art, music, and UI to enjoy! If you're interested, you can check out the demo here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3422290/ I am aiming to release the remake for Halloween this year. How exciting! Oh, and another thing. When I originally announced the remake, I said it would be very close to the original VN, with no new scenes or storylines added. This was the original plan, at least... But, when I was coding everything together, I thought it would be fun to revisit these characters after so many years, and play around with them a bit more. As such, I have decided to add fifteen bonus unlockable short stories into the remake which were not be present in the original VN, and a brand new route which will add two new endings into the game. I hope you will all look forward to it! - ebi xRead full article on Community Announcements (ebihime)AnnouncementsOfficial
Announcing a remake of The Way We All Go, to be released in 2025!
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a pleasant holiday season, and I wish you all a happy new year! To kick 2025 off, I'd like to announce a shiny new(?) project I've been working on very slowly for the last couple of years. As you might have gathered by the title, I've been cobbling together a remake of the first VN I ever released on Steam: the yandere horror/romance story The Way We All Go! https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/f3623d9cccd86062980b2c58bb5586506d089f67.png The Way We All Go was my very first commercial VN, and it has a special place in my heart. I'm still very fond of the characters, especially Amu and Noelle (Amu even cameos in some of my newer VNs from time to time haha). During the last few years I started to wonder how the VN would look if I'd released it today. When I wrote The Way We All Go, I was in my second year of university and I didn't have a job. I was dividing my time between writing essays and working on my horror game, which became quite expansive (somehow it wound up being over 200,000 words long), and I didn't have the budget to make it a big, flashy production. I was a complete newbie when it came to commercial game dev. I'd made a few short, free VNs in the past, but there were all pretty humble, and I made them with purely free for use assets. I'd never commissioned an artist before when I started The Way We All Go, and I remember I was actually very anxious about the commissioning process in general haha ;;; Given how small my budget was, it feels lke a miracle I was able to commission the few talented artists that I did for the spites and CGs. I didn't have the funds to give it any additional polish, however, and I had to use photographic backgrounds and stock music to finish it. Compared to my newer titles, it looks a little rogh around the edges, but I did the best I could with the resources I had at the time to make something special! https://clan.fastly.steamstatic.com/images/33024327/a6316d3e624f36a34483d8b...Read full article on Community Announcements (ebihime)
