Gelluloid Domination is a fast-paced, strategic and tactical game where you grow a network of cells. Expand by assimilating nearby cells, fight off pathogens and develop nanoboosts in the lab. Other cells want to propagate their DNA too, so this won't be easy. Can your cells achieve domination?

Expand your cell network and outmaneuver competitors in Gelluloid Domination, a fast-paced strategy game from Tractor Set GO! where every move counts.

About this game

A fast-paced strategy game of fantasy biology. Start with a single fragile cell and expand across the network, assimilating rivals to grow your gel-powered army. Evolve mutations, unlock new abilities, and fight off deadly pathogens. Adapt and conquer, expand or be consumed. Every decision shapes the network — will you achieve total domination?

Intuitive yet Demanding:

This is a minimalist strategy game. You start with simple mechanics: transfer gel to assimilate cells and manage gel production, but when and where you act changes everything. Watch your opponents, time your moves, and adapt to their strategies. With a variety of cell types, network layouts, and upgrades, every match plays out differently. Experiment, strategize, and stay one step ahead.

Over 80 Hand Crafted Missions with Unique Goals:

All missions have been designed with pen and paper to offer a diverse set of challenges, requiring you to adapt and learn new strategies. Beyond classic domination, you’ll face:

  • Survival Mode – Hold out against viral swarms.

  • Reservoir Fill – Gather enough gel in a "tank" cell.

  • Race Mode – Get to the target before your opponents.

  • More unique objectives to challenge your tactical thinking.

Gel Technologies – Bio-engineer Your Arsenal:

Find DNA strands to mutate, evolve, and enhance your cells:

  • Mutations: Transform your gel into deadly medusa, spike, or explosive forms. Mutate defensive turrets to shoot down incoming viruses.

  • Evolutions: Passive boosts to production, speed, and efficiency.

  • Nano-Boosts: Strategic “abilities” that shift the tide – slow opponents, disrupt production, or attract viruses to enemy cells.

Specialized Cells & Strategic Expansion:

Some cells offer key advantages, while others can leave you exposed—expand wisely to secure the best cells before your opponents do. Beyond the basic cell, you'll encounter a variety of specialized types:

  • Attack, Defense, and Production cells – Boost transfer speed, reinforce defenses, or increase gel production.

  • Carrier cells – Move freely, transporting gel to disconnected areas for flanking attacks.

  • Link cells – Create new connections in the network.

  • Vortex cells – Teleport gel instantly across the network.

  • Cycle roads and other mechanics add even more strategic depth.

Fierce AI, Adjustable Difficulty Setting:

AI-controlled opponents fight to dominate the network just like you, with no unfair advantages – just pure strategy. Crank up the difficulty for a heart-pounding challenge.

Are challenges too hard? You can lower the simulation temperature to have an easier time, but the rewards will not be as good.

Advanced Tools for Hardcore Players:

Experience-enhancing functionality is available for power users, such as Continuous Send, Chain Linking and the Passive/Aggressive toggle. Cell information panels provide insight into the raw numbers driving the simulation.

The game is getting updates continuously. Be part of the evolution and join our Discord community to shape new features and game modes.

Orbicorp Mission Statement

Below is the standard issue onboarding letter.

Welcome, doctor, to the Gelluloid Labs micro-life research program. We are Orbicorp, leaders in bio-tech and DNA disease analysis.

We study alien life forms to enhance our medical expertise with fascinating knowledge of new cellular behaviors.

Our vow is to not only heal the sick -- but go beyond that and super-charge biological functions in all humans, ensuring our race continues to dominate the known galaxies.

By injecting a special type of Gel under strict laboratory conditions, we are able to study how these extraordinary alien tissues work to endure the extreme, life-threatening conditions of the far away solar systems.

Our newest research produced the Green Gel, a new type of gel that can be controlled by hardware buttons and that can be seen through the microscope.

As a scientist, you are trained to complete these experiments. Your reward will be in the form of Research Points which you can spend developing new technologies in the Lab.

Thank you for reading this job description. Should you choose to apply for the position, your findings in Gelluloid Labs will lead to great advancements in human medicine and biological enhancements - sometime in the years to come.

A beautiful and serene Lab is made at your disposal by Orbicorp for free: *

* For the duration of your experiments. Orbicorp may terminate your contract without prior notice, and have a new scientist move in. The Lab is expensive to run and we can't waste any time or money. Or both!

We sincerely admire your devotion. We can't wait to see your research, which will lead to human domination in the known galaxies.

The CEO of Orbicorp himself,

TAMN GHONTJEN JR.

Dev Diary #004 - Security breach neutralized

Dear Gelluloid Community, We published a new update that addresses a potential critical security vulnerability in the Unity player. For context, Unity recently disclosed a security issue with builds created with Unity versions prior to October 3rd, and released patch instructions. Although we don't believe this specific issue affects Gelluloid Domination directly, 3rd party malware can still exploit Unity games created with unpatched versions. For this reason, the update we published today is built with a newer version of Unity which addresses the security vulnerability. Additionally, the update also addresses bugs as well as some other improvements. We want to extend a huge "Thank you" to our players who reported bugs for the valuable feedback. Dev Diary #002 - Achievements Unlocked

Hello Gelluloid fans, We’re back with a new update. It brings some quality-of-life improvements that you requested on Discord, bug fixes, and Steam achievements. The end simulation screen is now more complete with information about how the mission score is calculated. Now it’s less of a black box and you can tweak your strategy accordingly. We’ve made the mutated gel like Spike, Medusa and Explosive more visible, as players were not noticing the mutation happening. We also added a tooltip explanation of what Aggressive mode actually does, which was another source of confusion. Thank you to everyone who has given us feedback. If you want to help shape future development, come and join our Discord server, we don’t have cookies, but we’ll be there for a warm welcome. We implemented Steam achievements which will now show in your account. Currently, there are 29 of them and the list will grow. They are designed to give you a sneak peek of what’s possible in the more advanced campaigns like C3 and C4. We’ve had a lot of fun designing them, and we hope you’ll like the titles 🙂 Until the next time! The Gelluloid Domination Team Changelog Features Add more achievements Implement tutorial for level C3-13 Display contribution to score for each win/expense Display simulation details in the end simulation screen Show dedicated model for campaign 4 Bugfix Fix camera rotation going wild when a wheel is connected Fix addon not appearing in C1-12 Fix tutorial cell highlights not appearing after a simulation restart Fix being able to resume the simulation by opening the in-game menu while the briefing panel is on Fix background music being muted sometimes by other sounds Fix tooltips being displayed behind some layers Fix double sound triggering in some cases Fix displaying Perfect Timing even if the simulation failed Fix exploitable issue in which you can equip mutations beyond budget, close the preparation screen and go back to have the start simulation button enabled Fix roads bec...
