Content notice: A.L.A.R.M. contains stylized but impactful violence, dark humor, and occasional crude language used for comedic or expressive purposes. Violence & Gore – Combat is fast-paced, exaggerated, and creative, with blood effects and the occasional over-the-top finishing move. Some attacks may include low blows or humorous takedowns. Drugs & Alcohol – Characters may consume alcohol, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, and other plant-based substances in ways that align with the game’s satire and storytelling. Tone & Style – While the game features high-quality PBR textures for realism, character designs are slightly stylized and expressive, balancing the intensity of combat with humor and satire. No sexual content or nudity. If you enjoy cyber-horror, dark comedy, and high-energy action, A.L.A.R.M. delivers a unique and immersive experience-with a satirical twist.

Embark on an action-packed adventure as Nyx Draven, wielding the forbidden Arquanum to hack and slash through a decaying world. Every choice you make will alter your journey in A.L.A.R.M., where the dead rise and secrets lurk around every corner.

About this game

In A.L.A.R.M., you awaken in a fractured world where the line between technology and biology has dissolved. The living-tech relic known as the Nodus binds you to the earth itself; a tool, a weapon, and a curse.

Terraform, build, and survive through evolving biomes shaped by your touch. Every action alters the land and shifts your standing among allies and enemies alike. Forge connections with unpredictable companions whose trust and respect determine your fate.

Equal parts survival, exploration, and emergent narrative, A.L.A.R.M. fuses voxel terraforming, cyber-horror aesthetics, and matriarchal revolution into one adaptive, living world.

KEY FEATURES

Absurd, eerie charm where horror and humor hold hands and skip through a minefield.

MASTER DYNAMIC ACTION COMBAT

  • Hack, Slash, and Dance – Chain Shinobi-inspired acrobatics with rhythmic assassinations in Dansassination, where enemies are mesmerized into a deadly choreography.

  • Affinity-based Combat – Your style influences your strength, outfits grant affinities like Brave, Melancholy, or Dazzle, affecting abilities and resistances.

  • Specialized Combat Styles – Wield distinct skill trees, from bladed precision to Arquanum-infused devastation.

  • Face the Unholy – Battle Mist Maidens, cybernetic monstrosities, and Victor’s Generals-each a boss fight of surreal horror.

DANSASSINATION – MURDER SET TO MUSIC

  • Turn combat into a hypnotic dance, summon backup dancers, chain executions, and slaughter in perfect rhythm.

  • Break the beat, break the illusion, one mistake, and the massacre turns mutual.

Terraforming / Nodus Sculpting

  • Shape terrain in real time using the Nodus — a living biotech tool bound to you.

  • Dig, build, smooth, and level to form paths, shelters, caverns, and platforms.

  • Harvested earth becomes usable material — no wasted steps.

  • Create cozy hideouts, fortified bases, or sprawling land bridges.

  • The world responds to your intent — not prefab templates.

BUILD & CONTROL SYNDI CITY

  • Create your hidden stronghold; your rebel city built from ruins.

  • Rebuild homes, markets, and safe havens, attract allies and anger Olivia, the vengeful General.

  • Customize Syndi City’s power base; choose how your faction rises.

FIND ALLIES, UNLOCK COMPANIONS

  • Glim, your constant companion, provides insight, support, and unexpected truths.

  • Recruit legendary allies: assassins, rebels, and outcasts, each with unique combat styles, personalities, and personal quests.

  • Master tag-team combat; chain unique abilities with companions for devastating effects.

AN AUTISTIC ASSASSIN’S WORLD

  • Experience Draven’s world through sensory overload, hyper-focus, and heightened perception.

  • Patterns emerge, the battlefield shifts, reality bends, but too much stimulation can be deadly.

  • Adapt to an autistic perspective in combat, dialogue, and exploration.

To quote Dr. Bones Marrow, known in the world of A.L.A.R.M. as the Father of Arquanum:

“Nature prunes the mind to make it efficient… and small.
But autistic minds resist that pruning.
Dense. Layered. Unrestricted.
Not flawed. Ripe.
Perfect for Arquanum.”

A WORLD OF CYBERPUNK NIGHTMARES & ARQUANUM MYSTERIES

  • Star Ruins is a twisted blend of Cyberpunk, Silent Hill, and The Island of Doctor Moreau.

  • Reality is fragile; Arquanum bends time and space, revealing hidden paths and altering fate.

  • Face Doctor Bones Morrow, the mad scientist behind Arquanum, and Victor Von Baron, the gluttonous, undead CEO of Canopy Corp.

HOVERBOARDING, STUNTS & UNDERGROUND RACES

  • Race through ruins on an Arquanum powered hoverboard.

  • Grind, vault, and assassinate mid-air-style meets lethality.

  • Take on high stakes races and trick-based minigames in the Hoverboard Park.

CUSTOMIZATION – KILLER OUTFITS FOR KILLER MOVES

  • Shape Draven’s identity, customize appearance, face morphs, and attire.

  • Fashion is power. Each outfit grants unique combat affinities.

  • Affinities define your style. Each outfit unlocks unique combat affinities that enhance abilities.

  • Shop at Assassin’s R Us, where the motto is: Killer outfits for Killer moves.

PLAYER CHOICE: SUBVERT OR SLAUGHTER

  • Convert or Eradicate – Will you manipulate the Patriarchy’s ranks or wipe them out?

  • Adaptive Morality – Your actions reshape Star Ruins, factions shift, allies react, and the final battle’s outcome is yours to dictate.

The World is in ruins. The dance of death has begun.
Will you lead the rebellion or be lost in the mist?

    Inside TeeKru - September 2026

The Game We Wanted to PlayThis is our last Inside TeeKru before A.L.A.R.M. enters Early Access. That's a strange sentence to finally write. We've spent years building this game. Combat, companions, quests, a persistent voxel world, terraforming, building, camps, vendors, swimming, Hoverboards, Dansassination and enough other systems that occasionally we'll come across something we wrote years ago and have to figure out what the hell we were thinking.September was about connecting all those pieces into A.L.A.R.M.And for the first time, we're playing it.Early Access - October 26We had originally planned to launch A.L.A.R.M. into Early Access on October 19, because Krucifear's birthday is Oct 18 but it's a Sunday this year. But about a month ago, we lost roughly a week of development time resolving some technical problems that needed to be fixed properly.Rather than take that week out of testing and final polish, we're moving our Early Access launch back one week to October 26.That's really all there is to it. We always planned to leave ourselves proper time before launch to play, test, fix the thousand little things that inevitably turn up, and make sure the build we're putting in your hands is one we're happy with.So we're taking our week back.Taking Yachimu BackOne of the biggest things we've done this month is establish the progression across Yachimu.Yachimu is now divided into 21 Mist-gated regions, built around exploration, camps, quests, rescues and territorial recovery. They're not levels in the traditional sense. Yachimu is still one world, and we're deliberately keeping progression less linear than a typical RPG. Instead, Olivia's Mist has divided the world. As Draven destroys camps and pushes back Olivia's influence, more of Yachimu becomes accessible. New routes open. New characters can be reached. New quests become possible. New enemies begin appearing. You may see somewhere you want to reach long before you can actually get there. Maybe you'll find another rou...

Inside TeeKru – August Progress Update

Inside TeeKru – August Progress UpdateAugust has been our heaviest playtesting month yet.Between the two of us, we’ve logged more than 370 hours inside A.L.A.R.M., playing through progression, combat, exploration and quests while tracking down bugs, performance issues and all the little things that only become obvious when you actually live in the game. And somewhere in those hundreds of hours, a lot of the systems we’ve been building started colliding with each other in interesting ways.So this month, rather than simply adding more things, much of our work has been about playing A.L.A.R.M., finding what works, finding what doesn’t, and tightening everything as we continue toward Early Access. We were trying to photograph the outfit. Glim had other plans.Hundreds of Hours Later, the Field Mother Is Still an AssholeOne of the side effects of spending hundreds of hours playing your own game is that you get very familiar with your enemies. Perhaps a little too familiar...After 172 hours on one of our development accounts alone, the Field Mother can still make us swear at the screen. She’ll retreat, reposition, shoot from range, switch to her saber when you close in, punish you for chasing her and occasionally make a decision that leaves us wondering whether she actually meant to do that.During development, we even had to make the player roughly ten times more powerful than the AI just to keep things reasonably fair.It helped. The Field Mother is still an asshole. After hundreds of hours of playtesting, we know exactly how she works. Apparently, she knows how we work too.CRACK....asshole.Ways of the ShinobiOne of August’s biggest additions is the Ways of the Shinobi Skill Tree, giving players another major piece of Draven’s progression.Rather than being a simple list of passive upgrades, the Skill Tree is divided into different Ways representing the abilities and fighting styles Draven develops throughout the game. Weapon skills have their own progression, with new Skill i...

After banishing a camp, it won't stay quiet forever. Over time, the camp rebuilds itself, returning with stronger enemies and greater rewards.Tier 1 – ConcubinesTier 2 – Melancholy Healers join the fight alongside the Concubines.Tier 3 – Melancholy Healers, Fear Girls, Concubines, and the Field Mother mini-boss, who keeps the pressure on with ranged attacks while commanding the battlefield.Every successful banishment rewards you with loot, while the first time you clear each camp also grants a special one-time reward, making exploration even more worthwhile.Stillreach Opens Its DoorsStillreach is beginning to feel like a real town, with all of our major vendors now in place:Curly Dust keeps everyone well fed with freshly cooked meals.Amara specializes in Arquanum technology.Nixie outfits adventurers with clothing and gear.Piper runs the Exchange, turning salvaged materials into valuable trade goods.Petra is the town medic... although when...

    Inside TeeKru - June Update

This month we're excited to share that the first playable version of Dansassination is now live.Dansassination is a brand-new combat system for A.L.A.R.M. that exists alongside our Hack n' Slash combat. Every encounter begins with a choice: charge straight into the fight, or take control of the battlefield through music, performance, and psychological warfare. When a song begins, the battlefield changes with it. Each performance summons its own arena, transforming the environment into a stage built for that song. We currently have 12 playable performance arenas, with 18 more planned.Unlike traditional combat, victory isn't just about defeating enemies as quickly as possible. Success begins before the battle even starts. Players choose Affinities to complement their strategy, prepare their performance, and decide how they want to control the encounter. Different enemy types respond differently, so experimenting with different builds and songs can dramatically change how a fight unfolds. As the performance gains momentum, enemies fall under the effects of Mesmer. Maintaining that control becomes its own battle. Spectacular executions can quickly thin the enemy ranks, but every execution consumes Mesmer. Spend it too aggressively and the performance begins to unravel, allowing enemies to recover and turn the battle back against you.The battlefield itself becomes part of the strategy. Corrupt crystals continually reinforce enemy forces until they're destroyed, forcing players to decide between maintaining control of the performance or breaking away to eliminate the source of the reinforcements. Crystals and surrounding foliage also provide valuable resources, rewarding players who prepare before a fight and stay aware of their surroundings. Our goal with Dansassination has never been to replace Hack n' Slash combat, but to give players a completely different way to approach the same encounter. One rewards aggressive action. The other rewards preparation, battlefield contro...

May Inside TeeKru - Questing, Exploration & Underwater Survival

Questing, Exploration & Underwater SurvivalOne of our major focuses this month has been refining A.L.A.R.M.'s quest and progression systems. In this playtest, Draven and Glim awaken inside an abandoned underground facility with little more than their instincts to guide them. As they explore, they uncover the Nodus, a mysterious device that allows players to scan the environment, discover hidden resources, and even dig through the world itself. The sequence showcases our philosophy of teaching through gameplay. Rather than relying on lengthy tutorials, players learn by exploring, experimenting, and uncovering solutions naturally. Along the way, Draven discovers equipment, resources, weapons, and tools that gradually prepare her for what lies ahead.Exploration is also a key part of progression in A.L.A.R.M. Rather than relying on NPCs standing around with quest markers above their heads, opportunities emerge organically through discovery. Hidden locations, forgotten structures, unusual objects, and chance encounters can all lead to new quests, rewards, and stories. Curiosity is often the first step toward adventure.Throughout the sequence, players are introduced to scanning, excavation, equipment progression, inventory management, environmental exploration, and companion support mechanics. Even small details matter, such as managing visibility while exploring the depths, with Draven able to control Glim's tail light through the radial menu when stealth or visibility becomes a concern.Eventually, the pair discover their only way forward: the depths of Mist Maiden Lake.Armed with newly acquired scuba gear, Draven dives into the dark waters below where drifting bodies, hidden dangers, and awakening Concubines await. During the encounter, Glim provides support from Draven's back, launching Tetsubishi and ShockRa concussion mines while Draven dispatches threats that venture too close. This footage also includes a glimpse of the Glim Cam, allowing us to experience exploration ...
