Patch 1.0.20 - Rerolls and Monster Passives
Hi Delvers, We've got the 2 main features hitting the game from our roadmap today - Rerolls and Monster passives, as well as a new mechanic for class actions! These features are focusing on giving you more control, and making the game more nuanced and difficult, and balancing some of the classes. Lets dive into the details and let you know what's been changed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rerolls: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/fca87674cefd6f69332876dfaede237a678039db.jpg Rerolls are used inside of the the Relic and Level up screens, and are used to generate a new reward. These rerolls are a limited resource in the run, so you'll have to choose carefully when you want to use them. You'll start off with 5 rerolls by default, but can find a reroll on each of the Delver Trees that you can unlock to add to your pool - so you'll end up with 20 rerolls if you unlock all of them. While unlocking relics and skills from the Delver trees gives you more options, it also dilutes your pools. Rerolls are a way to allow you to roll through what's coming out as rewards, and more easily control what you're picking up from a run. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monster Passives: {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/ba85ac09b3cd327e83f67ad5b681d546964e69b6.jpg With how powerful Delvers are, firing off multiple moves in a turn, the monsters have been feeling a bit easy to handle up till now. The Monster passives are being introduced to bring the balance back into the monsters favour. The passives are super varied, and you'll have to load into the game to see, but we'll put a couple of examples to let you know how they work. Prey on the Weak - Scorpion Passive: When a Delver has a curse, the Scorpion gains +5 Damage on all Attacks. Unstable Mutation - Bruiser Passive: If the Bruiser is under 50% health it applies a Random Curse on every hit...Read full article on Community Announcements (Microsoft Excel)Patch NotesOfficial
Corruption and Bug Fixing - Patch 1.0.12
Hi Delvers, We've changed the way corruption works, and have handled a couple more bugs and have done some tweaks and changes to some further UX improvements. Corruption and Difficulty: We've changed the way corruption works, now treating it more as a difficulty setting that you can choose, rather than something that you have to grind for - there's more than enough of that on the Celestial Tablet. Here's the key changes to the system: All corruption levels are now unlocked from the start, and show the difficulty rating you have selected on the meter itself. We've made the Corruption meter clearer by framing it as a difficulty bar which is always visible, but hovering over it brings up the details of what each level brings. Your score multiplier still works in the same way, so playing at higher difficulties increases the score that you post on the leaderboard. You'll also still be increasing your the amount of Gold and Dungeon Resources that you gain by playing at higher Corruption levels, but now it's fully in your control how and when you want to scale the difficulty -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UX improvements We've added the spell icons around the spell button in the game - allowing you to see what's active, what's on cooldown, and select them by pressing the buttons. We've aligned the Healthbars to the tops of the Delver's heads. Changes to ability upgrades are done through Positive and Negative markers on the Celestial Tablet - replacing the long-form descriptions that we had previously. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Balance Tweaks: We've changed Shiro's Breaking Shockwave to refund an AP if it does not Sunder a Monster This change was suggested by a community member and we thought it really improved the way the ability felt and rewarded players for thinking about their action order more. Feel free to...Read full article on Community Announcements (ManiaSmurf)Patch NotesOfficial
Dungeonfell Roadmap
Hi Delvers, We'd like to give a quick thank you to everyone that's given us feedback over the last week, it's been great to hear from you all and implement your feedback! Roadmap Onto the Roadmap... we'll be giving you these in the order we'll be hitting them, and will keep you updated to progress as we get closer to releasing them to you. Rerolls {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/fca87674cefd6f69332876dfaede237a678039db.jpg Rerolls are a way for you to have more control on what Relics and Delver Upgrades you decide to take in a run. You’ll start off with a small number of rerolls, but will be able to unlock more through the Delver trees on the Celestial Tablet. Monster Passives {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/027af44014c7e696c9fb239c26e64ae20ac00264.jpgMonsters are getting some more mechanics through a passive system. These passives aim to add more weight Monster pairings and how they synergise together – working off of Monster types, Status Effects, and Delver Actions. Monthly Leaderboards {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/320cff29e37d1c709ac5b93c84835bfb8d04f823.jpg Leaderboards have been taking off during the first week of Dungeonfell’s release, with players vying for top spots. We’re going to be resetting these leaderboards every month to keep it fresh and give the more competitive players a new goal every month. Delver Equipment {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/0c910b2d653238812bed6f53be9e07892f4a4926.jpg A Tragedy happened when the Delvers were brought here with the Celestial Tablet… they lost some of their equipment! You’ll have to go on runs and find pieces of equipment to power up your Delvers and help them fight the new and improved Monsters. Equipment will be unique to each Delver, but you can also find Chaos Runes which can be equipped by any Delver, modifying their stats and making them better against certain Monster types. Heart of The Corruption {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/45360451/0e06c02de7261f2d9e16d6fa496188f68a940f89.jpg The Heart of Corruption will be opened by Balthazar, a...Read full article on Community Announcements (Microsoft Excel)Patch NotesOfficial
Dungeonfell Patch 1.0.8 - On-Hover Events and Damage Clarifications
Hi Delvers, This week we're been focusing refining the initial experience based on the feedback you all have been leaving. This Friday we'll be posting a roadmap on the future of Dungeonfell, so stay tuned for more info. Today, however, we've got 2 tweaks to the game that have come from suggestions from the community in this patch. On-Hover Information: We've added in some context hovers to the game, so that you can more easily get information on what something means or how it works. We've focused on the parts of the game that were unclear or did not have a "click and hold" functionality to get more information. Hover Locations: Health stat - clarifying what health it. We probably don't need this one, but it would feel strange if the other stats had this Defence / stat - clarifying how Defence works and how a % chance to hit is calculated Accuracy / stat - clarifying how Accuracy works and how a % chance to hit is calculated Initiative / stat - clarifying what initiative is and how the +X number is generated. Abilities / Tree Nodes - saying how Ability upgrade work and the limitations on choosing an upgrade. Stances / Tree Node - saying how Stance upgrade work and the limitations on choosing an upgrade. Base Spell / Tree Node - saying what a Spell is and how it is used. Spell Upgrade / Tree Node - saying how upgrading a Spell works. Relics / Tree Node - saying what a Relic is and how the relic pool works. Upgrade Button / Spellbook - saying where the button in the spellbook takes you and why. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Berserk, Frenzy, and Weak Clarifications: We've also tweaked how Berserk, Frenzy, and Weak work - they now do what they say on the tin, rather than adding or removing a % of the base damage amount. I'll do an example how how it worked and how it now works for clarification: Old Maths: In the old system, an attack that dealt 20 damage and was given Berserk (+50% Damage)...Read full article on Community Announcements (ManiaSmurf)Patch NotesOfficial
Dungeonfell Patch 1.0.7 - Understanding Stats, Cooldowns, and Tactics
Hi Delvers, We've fixed a couple of bugs and added in some UX clarification to help better convey the stats of Monsters and Delvers, helping to make sense of the Delver level ups that effect your stats. We'll just dive into the stats and what they do quickly here before going over the main changes in this patch: Stats: Health - The amount of damage a Delver or Monster can take before they die Accuracy - Compared to the defence of the defender to determine a % change to hit Defence - Compared to the Accuracy of an attacker to determine a % change to hit Initiative - The base number used to order Delvers and Monsters into the queue at the start of combat. A number is randomly generated per character, where the range is based off of the corruption level, and added at the start of combat to give slight variance, Key Changes: Cooldown is now shown on the Ability info page. Cooldown and Level are now shown on the Spell info page. When inspecting a Delver inside of combat (Clicking and Holding on them or their Queue Icon), you can now inspect their action details and their current cooldowns. We've added Delver stats to the Delver select screen and Monster/Delver stats to when you inspect a a character inside of a match. Balance Tweaks: Breakers hammer has changed to affect only One Delver, instead of All all Delvers, but has reduced in rarity from Gold to Silver. Bug fixes: Fixed an issue where your corruption level did not reset correctly when lowering the difficulty Fixed an issue where a revived Delver would run out of a room in the wrong directionRead full article on Community Announcements (ManiaSmurf)
